Noob here, never done events before (started in July), what do we do on the event, tame, kill, ???? I can't find any links to what you are supposed to do on the events. I see all the cool colors on dinos, but don't know whether to tame them or kill them. I know you kill the ghost dinos to get the skin to combine with ectoplasm and you kill the little metal mice to get ectoplasm, and you can find gravestones with loot in them and scarecrows and such, but what do we do with the colorful dinos, do we get something for killing or taming them other than very colorful dinos to breed with?

Hey guys im looking for somwone that made an amazing Atlantis style underwater castle with vaccum compartments

when i use vacuum compartments i use pillar and half pillar to inch it close to the top of the water. if you get it close enough you can fly air units under the water. i love building. thats all i do in ark to be honest. building underwater remember air conditioning units work just like above and those vaccum chambers can be sunk into lava. my favorite thing to do with the chambers is make a free fall from the top of the world to the bottom of the ocean and i leave 1 compartment flooded and thats enough to neglect all fall dmg. so you can free fall from one base to another without dieing.

From what I observed breeding cakes can only be used once. If you look at the buff it is present until adult.
Imprint cakes have a 600 second timer to be used again. You can observe this in the buff status screen as well.

If we’re taking alpha, the monkey will be easy with these stats as long as you don’t fall down the hole, the brood mother you may lose a few as she has high damage output and the dragon you’ll lose every single one due to them being carnivores. Ideally for dragon you’ll want theris with cakes or pyromanes

Oh sorry I was in a boss fight when you tagged me, and I forgot to answer after. There are more building structures, more dye colors, a new cosmetic and mod system, some quality of life changes, different bosses and dinos. You're probably fine if you can find a good ASE server to play on, though. Good luck!

You don’t need to be on a rock drake for Rockwell. You can do if you want but a lot of people do it on foot. You just need cactus broth. You can also sit on stegos if you want to have something tank the damage. Or you can use a tek suit. But cactus broth is the key

Valguero Alpha boss has gigas as required tributes. Established tribes want to farm these. You can't tame a giga on our server if these established tribes show up, because killing it is faster then making it unconscious (where invulnerability from other players start). This locks out a playerbase from owning gigas. (Especially solos or smaller tribes, because it takes longer and the killers can arrive late and still kill it before you down it).
Has this been discussed somewhere? Is there any statement regarding this from CA?

(Yes a technical fix not allowing other player to damage torpor induced wild creatures would be cool or the alpha boss not requiring giga hearts or respawn rates being really high so there is no supply shortage would be nice. I don't think they'll do it because effort)

If there is a statement regarding COC in this regard for example I could at least start opening reports with footage.

I have 166 lv without single xp party, and i am not spending much time leveling. Got 2 lvls in 2 hours just 2 days ago. Btw reapers are useless in pve. There is better creature for literaly everything. They are just collectors creature. They are pretty much pre-saddled rexes with jump and their saddle dont work against bosses.

I described it as "torpor induced wild creature". Same mechanic that takes effect now as soon as it is unconscious would take effect during active torpor, attributed to the person first inflicting torpor (every other instance of torpor would deal 0 dmg and should not refresh the torpor timer as it isn't permitted. so by default the first person is locked until it is opened up upon reaching 0 torpor again or unconscious )

Island swamp cave should work well for this. Just remember gas masks and no other armour. You'll need to cryo them in and out of some spots but plenty of bugs for them to kill.

How many did you have around your base. People will pillar large areas that are spawn and meat run. Those do not hurt spawns. If you spammed a huge amount of area and it was pillars and quarter walls those act as foundations. You really do not need more the a few pillars aroind your base. Neighbours are nice to have. Depending on the map like island your bound to be close together. Pillars are constantly removed on my island becaise idiots thing they need a huge giant area which you really dont.

Yes single player is still fun. There’s pros and cons to SP vs Servers. You can build anywhere and is a bit easier. Bugs in single player vs servers are different. I’ve played mostly single player over the past few years but just recently started back on official for the first time since 2017. Just remember to manually backup your saves every couple of days on single player.

So I’ve been trying to breed recently and I’ve got two parents with the exact same stats and level but every baby keeps coming out with lower stats is it possible that the babies stats increase slightly when fully matured with no imprinting or am I just extremely unlucky

For reference my parents health stat is 3287.6 but every baby keeps coming out at 3280.1

Yeah true, but I'm pretty someone would ticket it. Plus people can get creative when others start this kind of nonsense. Back on ase we had a guy on our fjordur who tried this exact thing with leashed gigas on the giga spawns. No else could get hearts because the moment one spawned and was rendered his would kill it. So a buddy of mine went and boxed them in with behe's and left a sign saying to move them. It worked.

They will eat from a trough regardless if you are logged in or are within render. The only Dino to my knowledge that you have to be in render for id you are air feeding them are gachas.

Everywhere i go on open air maps, its always the same, Walmart sized box buildings or mass-territorial land grabs.

But why never excessively tall Vertical structures? I mean, we have access to elevator platforms... so why not build up instead of just out?

I mean, why doesn't someone build avengers tower or have a multi-tiered tek tower with behemoth tek gates leading to each individual floor and a Large elevator for interior movement?

Maps with open skies have around 1000 to 1500 meters of height space to work with... why not use it?

Structure limit is kinda sucking for it. You can place max 5500 structures in certain radius. While building skyscrapper, even if everything go as planned, you will most likely be disabled from replacing/adding anything except of higher upward. Want extra cryo storage? Nope. Accidentaly destroyed one piece in your base and want to fix it? Nope. :p thats also one of reasons why people put behemoth gates arround base instead of putting afford to build nice wall. Behemoth gate = 2 structures for cap radius, while nice wall of same size minimum 24 structures.

But we are given access to large walls which are stackable and elevators for indoor or outdoor vertical movement. I just dont understand why they arent used to their full potential when we have access to tek generatos with ranges that can overlap..

This is a common bug for everyone that they never fixed. On our server, you can access the one to the south of green ob in the west end of the sanctuary city. You should also be able to access terminals in the wasteland.

if you open the scanner it tells you what you can scan for, it's your level + a fixed amount (if i remember correct 25)
BUT, if there is any dino you can scan for it will show you the closest, even if that is too high level normally

No it can only spawn in its designated arena area in the forbidden zone. The wandering Titan spawns by the Western implant and will return to that spot if it wanders too close to the city

anyone have any advice on mutating maeguanas? im a pretty veteran breeder/mutator but i havent dont maeguana/wing because of how they will all mate with one another.. like usually i put like 12 females down and keep replacing the male with the next and next and next mutation and so on but if you do that with maeguanas they will all mate with eachother instead of just the "male" because they dont have genders..
