Well, dying is a subjective term.
If a game averages 2,000 players at any moment, it isn't 'dying' as that's its normal playerbase count. It'd only be dying if that average playerbase went down significantly, like 500 players.
ARK has always had a steady of around 60k players, which it's still going. Yes they've had peaks, but peaks don't represent the 'active' community, they only represent how people felt when a new DLC dropped or when ARK was free.
