Nobody knows except the developers, but I'm taking a wild guess and assuming that it's optimised and compressed into smaller file sizes due to it being a newer game, so it'd probably be around 100GB and run similar specs to ARK 1.

More and more games are being updated to have smaller file sizes so more people can run the games and install them, so expect around 100 GB worth of storage to be taken up, as ARK 2 is probably going to be a large game anyways. - The graphics in the trailer may be similar to the ingame graphics, and may be really realistic, meaning you may have to take up more than 100GB - And you may need to update your graphics card. - This is all just an estimation.

1. Microsoft and Wildcard have a timed exclusive deal for Ark 2 on consoles 2) Playstation doesn't let early access games stay for more than 2 years and doesn't like them in general. The game is launching as early access wich might take longer than 2 years, WIldcard also hasn't said yet that they are working on a PS port yet. even if it comes to Playstation down the line like Ark 1 it will very likely be PS5 release as it's only gonna be on PC and next gen consoles (Xbox series x/s and likely PS5)

We should get an option for primitive, modern and futuristic ARK worlds.

So for example: You play the same map, but theres 3 saves, 1 for each theme. Each theme is the same map, but it slightly edited (Eg, in the futuristic one, there are ruins of previous survivors' stuff, etc.).

It'd be good so that you can have different themed saves, and you could chose what version you want to play on in multiplayer, sort of like a game-filter.

Also, add more futuristic engrams for the futuristic one, more modern day things in the modern variant. Remove all tech, etc, from the primitive one

Itd be so good to also not know what the berry is until you eat it too, or you could research (maybe another feature), the berry, and every time you research a berry, you get a note added to your journal (like a dino dossier note in ark 1)

Rockwell seems to rely on a blueprint creature to create new ones, instead of just making things from mid-air.
This is seem with the corrupted-survivors in the Rockwell-Prime fight.
The Shadowmane's can very easily be the same way, relying on a blueprint like a sabertooth or something.
Which then the writer could use that as an excuse to have them within the ships database, and bring them back.

A good sequel needs to improve on what the first one did great and add new things so we don't get Cod sequel but ark where they add 2 new weapons and have 1 new map.

It's a early access title so ofc you don't have a whole game to show 2 years before it launches. If they showed it earlier and changed something during that period you could already hear the ark players rage, as they already do at any attempt of communication (and people wonder why they don't communicate anymore when the community legit said "we don't care, only tell us important stuff")
