random question. How can corrupted drakes exist on extinction? They were not created by the arks, they were mutated creatures (probably mutated dienonychus or megalania) and shouldn't have ever been on earth. How then did they get corruputed by element in the wasteland? Rock drakes shouldnt have existed on earth until the aberrant ark landed, which happens after you kill the king titan. Any thoughts?

Is it possible they were somehow beamed down to earth the same way survivors are? that way they could breed and become corrupted. I'm not sure this makes sense, as the ark system prevented people from reaching earth until AFTER the king titan was killed. The only way to get to earth before the arks landed was through the aberration portal, which was man made. We know the characters in the explorer notes didnt bring tames down to earth, but is it possible they didn't shut down the portal after? Like they left the door open and somehow drakes got through? If so, someone must have closed it since then as aberation ascension shows that its still functional, but wasnt turned offbefore you beat rockwell.

Followint that logic you could say that none of the ark creatures should have been present. Rexes and brontos wouldn't have been alive either. I have no lore answer but it seems to reason that the same things that made the arks could have been testing reapers and rockdrake, and left them as guardians on the interiors of arks just in case survivor's made it down that far

good point, i always assumed that there was a facility somewhere on extinction that kept all the dinosaurs they planned to use on the arks, that would explain why there are corrupted creatures present. However, i'm pretty sure most aberant creatures weren't designed by the arks. Other than reapers, which were a punishment, I feel like I've read somewhere that the rest of the creatures were genuine mutations and not something the arks planned for. Feel free to correct me if thats wrong

The proto arks created the creatures that roam extinction

They followed the same system as the regular arks, so they would make Wyverns and death worms, the Sunken Forrest, a proto ark built above a large sinkhole that they realized was there a bit too late, became corrupted like aberration and shared in its programming, making rock drakes a reapers which then got corrupted

i dont think it would make sense that it had drakes or reapers because neither of those creatures existed when the proto arks were created. They were made well in the future when the aberrant ark was partly blown up.
