scorpions don't drop unfertilized eggs anymore, and you can't craft dino-specific kibble anymore. it's only still in for people who kept countless fridges of it. if you want kibble, craft the new generalized variants.

I've got no idea if anyone will be able to help here, but I'm trying to start a server for my mates, and I've been trying for the last 3 hours but I can't get the server to show up in the server list.
I'm using Linux server through SteamCMD, I've made sure the required ports (UDP 27015, UDP 7777, UDP 7778, TCP 27020) are forwarded and allocated, and the server config should in theory be correct, and the filters are set correctly in game.

Rcon is refusing to connect and eventually just times out with no other error message beside cli: auth: rcon: rcon: read packet size: read tcp 127.0.0.1:58032->127.0.0.1:27020: i/o timeout as well, and i'm not sure if that's an issue or not, or the same reason the whole server isn't working

I’m trying to run a dedicated server on my Win 10 server (R620) for myself to join from my laptop and my son to join from the Xbox (obvs Game Pass version) and the server just crashes after 20-30 mins of activity? Event viewer shows Exception code: 0xc0000005 as the error, which is super helpful. Fresh install as of yesterday - fully updated W10 and fully updated Ark. any ideas? 😭 I get the same crash on my laptop, too, so I wonder if the windows version is just busted

Figured it out @plucky ridge. At least for me. It’s a licensing thing. Account A has game pass, Account B doesn’t. On the server machine I have A logged in to Mcft Store and B logged in to the computer and Xbox app. This means it gets to use A’s license to download the game, and logs into the game as B. I then primarily use A on my main machine and just join B to use the server. If you opt to do this, once the server is up, you must open Services on the server computer and Stop the Windows Licensing something or other service. It sees that you have two copies running under one store license and just shoots the oldest one 😂

I think depending on how the game closes it sometimes shows up as that goofy error. Other times it doesn’t write anything out and just closes. 🤷🏼‍♀️
