aight so i always wanna try to play this game solo in singleplayer but the default settings are just not meant for it,
having an egg hatch taking hours and a baby growing taking days just doesnt work if the world pauses when you wanna go to bed or just stop playing for a while.

in the end i just give up since i cant ever work the .INI files.

then i find this guy on youtube that seems to play with pretty good settings and puts his game.ini and gameuser.ini in the description so i just copy paste them over to mine to but half of them just dont work, i just get put on default gather and tame but breeding timers are changed, things like that.

at this point i have no idea whats wrong or how to fix these settings so its actually fun to play in singleplayer....

Still building my first base, but my issue is that somewhere along the way some weird things that look like overgrown fuzzy ducks with large claws set up spawn just further north along the beach for where I'm building, and every week they wander down for their weekly scheduled ritual sacrifice (eating my Triceratops/whatever I ever had tamed) in trade of not eating me or my base.

This time around I spent a lifetime supply of tranq arrows to take out one which proceeded to suffocate in water before I can tame it, and the issue is that there is more and more of them spawning by the look of it. Any reliable early game way to take out those annoying things so they don't keep chewing into my base/dinos?
