if you can't see it in your crafting menu, try dying and if that doesn't work (assuming you're not new), try transferring out of the server through an obelisk/transmitter and back in but if you are new, try looting supply crates or shipwrecks for what you need instead

Some people use maewings because they are fast but you risk going down into the canyon and not being able to effectively get out. A pt can outrun a dragon but stamina will get ya. Desmodes can be faster and fly further just hear in mind invisibility doesn't work against dragons once a egg is stolen.

Basic kibble you need a dodo, berries and cooked meat. You can get that before mutton generally. Also you won't be taming one immediately, the saddle is smithy tier so you have time.

I play single, and I feel like my current "Dino add per level" stats are too low, like even investing some points together in a stat doesn't seem to make a noticeable difference. Anyone has a good balance that doesn't make tamed dinos absolutely op?
And also, what's the stat that changes the time required for beer liquid to create?

I dont think beer has a config in vanilla (though may be wrong). Stats will be better with high base levels, breeding and imprint

The patch from the 24th says they fixed hawks, but our still are definitely not eating our slaughtered tamed ovis. The only way we can get it to work is to toss a wild dino corpse on top and sometimes they aggro to the tamed corpse. Has it been fixed for anyone else actually confirmed in game?

I have been trying to tame a hawk for a while, usually so many swam the corpses theyall get a few points in taming and then run out of corpses, and hunting with hawks around you are taming ia nightmare, they are always swooping in, getting hit, and resetting their tame percentage

Yes, I'm an admin on our servers* so I'm testing a very controlled situation to see if they were fixed and it's not working at all.

The trick our community found is using the slaughter function on tamed ovis -- this allows you to get a 'perfect' tame. They still won't eat tamed corpses though, post-patch.

Most you need to knock out some you need to steal eggs for and some are passive tames (don’t need to steal eggs or knock out)

To knockout dinosaurs, your first tool is the slingshot, which I would advice you only use for VERY early game. It's acquired at a pretty low level, and it only requires stones as knockout ammunition. Your next tool is the bow, which goes hand in hand with the bola, being at that level you tame trikes and raptors. For knockout ammunition you need arrows and narcotics, which you will then have to to craft together to make tranq arrows , which are more effective than stones. Next is the crossbow, which is just the bow but with higher damage (more damage with tranq ammo = more torpor, faster knockout). The crossbow is just higher damage, and faster arrow speed. Next is the longneck rifle, which requires bullets and narcotics to craft in the Smithy. The longneck is the best weapon for knockout taming with it delivering the lowest damage and highest torpor. The gun and tranq darts are unlocked at a fairly high level.

So basically, theres 4 types of tames.

1. Knockout tames. The most common type of tame, where you use a torpor inflicting weapon (tranq arrows, clubs, fists) to knock out an animal, then put the animals preffered food in its inventory, and wait.

2. Passive tames. Youll sneak up on the animal, put the food it wants in the last inventory slot, and hit E to feed it.

3. Equus taming. Equus are basically horses. YOu feed it, press e to ride, and then press e everytime it prompts you.
