1. grind to crossbow
2. spam craft tranq arrows
3. find a rex of a good level
4. build a trap with gates and a bear trap [gates in a square with one not placed, bear trap in the middle. lead the rex in and place the final gate behind it when the rex is trapped]
5. tranq it
6. ideally get prime meat (killing argies and stegos would be the easiest way) but just any meat will do and make sure its torpor is okay
7. enjoy your rex! depending on how your server xp stats are you may not be able to ride him for 500 years

Hey all! I posted the other day about not being able to get into live servers (solo games were fine) and only being able to go online after playing solo for a bit first. My NAT type was moderate so after fiddling with Xbox settings with no results I had to enable UPNP on my router because for some reason it wasn't already on. Hope this helps someone.

Hey y’all, so I’ve been researching about this but every single answer I come across is different and confuses me more In summary, can you activate old events? There have been times where I haven’t been able to play ark for one reason or another, and thus wasn’t able to play for some events. I know I can gfi the items and all but I’d rather experience the event as a whole. Is that possible? I tried activating the ARKaeology event (by writing ARKaeology in the active event box in the world options), for example, I got the items in the cooking pot, yet they had no recipes. The side you see the resources you craft items with is completely blank, and upon a relog they weren’t even there anymore. What can I do? Do I have to enter the “activeevent=bla bla” console command every time? Or is it just another method from the menu thing? Do I have to do a wild Dino wipe for event dinos and structures (E.g fossils for ARKaeology) to spawn? Any help would be insanely appreciated

Uncheck the DLC from the install list and let steam uninstall Fjordur. Check if you are subbed to the Modded map and remove it from your subscriptions and from your files. Re-add the DLC, maybe even verify afterwards.

You won’t lose any data if that’s what you mean. You can transfer the current survivor off, make a new one and all your other survivors progress will still be there but you won’t have access to it if you’re not in the same tribe.

Yeah, I did figure it out... It was a bunch of corrupted files - Ark, ASM, and the Server files 😓 ... I had to do a clean reinstall of all of it, and then I had to re-forward all my ports, too... it was a huge pain... but it works fine now...

You may just need to create rules in the Windows Defender App with Advanced Security... And triple check that any/all of your ports are forwarded and that ASM and your server are allowed through any malware/antivirus programs (incl. windows defender) If need be, we can DM, and I can walk you through it all via screen share...

Start off in just PvE with boosted rates, then once you get a good hold with how the base game mechanics work, start learning some note runs to make both PvE and PvP much easier as you will have access to more engrams faster, also, if there is a cave that you go into and you have a small lag spike when you walk in, turn around and go back to it when you have better stuff

i believe theres a current bug (i think its known?)in SP playstation where characters get deleted on log off and requires to be recreated. you should hold off from playing until it gets resolved.

though if you did lose an important character, there are a plethora of commands that allow you to easily recreate them.

Supplycrates however do drop DLC items and blueprints, so craftables such as DLC creatures' saddles may be obtained that way instead.

For those using singleplayer or dont mind using commands to play ill drop my method

-for those who want to keep their lost island data i got a little guide to keep it.
So upload your lost island survivor, make a new survivor use the command -cheat addexperience 100000 01 - unlock the engrams you need upload that new survivor and download your old lost island survivor to keep your world data and be able to play on both without transfering! (But kinda you do transfer tho lol)

Only if you're fine with using commands

Thats the quickest method i know

Or you could transfer your fjordur survivor ti lost island to learn the engrams when you need them but that'll get annoying if you needa keep doing it

If it's in a different folder, you're not looking at the right folder. needs to be saved>config>windowsnoeditor (assuming you mean singleplayer). Not having .ini on the end just means that you haven't set windows to show file extensions

Yep. Click the item you want to craft, click button up the top, items are in the crafting inventory. Far as I know, S+ was the origin of that feature
