Go to your favorite servers in steam and verify that it’s not only there, but reading as the server name and not just the IP. If you only see the IP add it again using the query port.

If that doesn’t work I don’t know what the issue could be.

I've dabbled over the years, and pre-farming, I tend to stick with a Trike for a balance of maneuverabily, toughness, and effective gathering. And yeah, most of the points go into melee. The alternatives (especially that early on) are either slow as molasses, or not as worth taming, or both.

The trick with maewing belly bounce harvesting is to left click as they open up their arms to land. Think it was set up this way so they didn't encumber themselves if they were using the belly bounce for it's attack value (heavy knockback and can be pretty strong if you've got the imprint boost) There are a lot of things it can harvest this way in addition to berries. Just takes practice.

Can also spam right click with some level of success, I've just found the left click with the right timing to be more reliable.

The pump shotgun is 1000x better because of the extra range and ammo capacity, but it does somewhat depend on the quality of them. An ascendant shotgun is better at close range than a prim pump. But given 2 equal shotguns, the pump is always better

No you cannot upload official dinos to unofficial due to oficial pvp & pve being a big giant cluster of server, you can only upload dinos from single player to certain unnoficial servers that enable data downloads from other arks, btw a cluster is when taking multiple servers and linking them together to allow transfer of characters, dinos, and items through the Obelisks to your other servers!

so basically if that specific unofficial server isn't a cluster you can

Go for a sarco then, and a moschops for farming berries. Then do a lot of missions. You should be able to get a Spino with just a crossbow, but it'll take awhile. Once you have that it'll be quick to do some of the gamma hunt+protect missions

Just avoid alpha Leeds, regular Leeds won’t attack you unless you’re on a raft. Take literally any underwater tame into the deeper parts of the ocean and you won’t have any trouble finding them. If there’s a squid nearby just go elsewhere

I have an issue, I ran Ark yesterday just fine, joined a server, played a couple minutes, and left. Today I tried joining a server and the game crashed, I tried making a singleplayer game and it crashed. I tried running the exe as administrator, I lowered the resolution, I turned it into windowed, I tried changing launch options, I tried verifying, I tried turning off my antivirus, I turned off my third party antivirus, I reset firewall settings, I am fully updated with windows, I tried re-downloading directx12, I've tried launching it normally without running the exe as administrator, nothing has worked.

Should I reinstall the game or am I missing something?

In order to tranfer a dino or creature from one server to the next you need to first appraoch either an Obelisk or a Beacon (Supply/loot drop).

After accessing the inventory on the top center of the screen you will see a tab labelled "transmit ARK data", select this tab.

The next page will have an option titled "Upload creatures data", this is what you need to select in order to upload your dino/creature.

A panel will then appear with all your dinos/creatures in the vacinity of the obelisk or drop. Simply by selecting the ones you wish to upload they will then be uploaded and "stored in the ark".

Couple of things you could try (not sure which to try first): (1) double-check the mod info to ensure that you set them up & are using them correctly; (2) disable all mods but one, and test each of them one at a time to determine if they're working individually

Just plug keyboard mouse into the USB ports of your PlayStation and then hit enable in the options menu on ark

Yea I swore there’s a key to cycle snap points. I see PC YouTubers do it all the time. On Xbox controller it’s RB.

there are some differences between k&m on consoles and PC. its the weirdest thing (win10 counts as console)

Yes it is capable of destroying thatch structures

I dunno if windows are a thing, but as long as you you have a complete house with foundations walls and ceilings no it can't see you, unless you make it angry first

if steam says its validating you just have to wait, faster drive (SSD) will make it faster but not much you can do.
