not legitimately. you basically have to 'obtain' the evolved v358 files and install them over the epic games version, then only launch the game from the executable, not from epic. it will find epic and log in with it, but wont update

To put in simple terms I just got two therizinos and I'm going to breed them until I get both high levels because the male theriz is 203 so I breed him with the female until I get a female and a male that's 203 and then I just keep breeding and then once the two levels go up I changed the old male out with the new? Obviously not touching the female at all

Level does not matter as much as pay attention to which stats go up. It might get a mutation in a stat you dont care about like oxygen or food. In which case you dont want that mutation in your line.

Once again level does not matter. Stats matter. Breed until either health, or melee goes up from what it was before. If the better stat is on a male then replace your current breeder male. If it is on a female you have to try and get that stat onto a male. Also a perfect tame is level 224. Stats matter more than levels. You could have a 203 theri that has trash stats. You want very high stat rolls in health melee or weight depending what you are using it for. Any stats you get in oxygen or food are wasted stats. And you only get so many so you dont want wasted stat points.

Thats pretty decent. You can get a basic idea of what stat rolls you get from any dino if you check the stats pre tame and on stand up on dododex stats tab.

It was on Valguero. Luckily, they had a window in the wall. I dropped my Argy out of a cryopod through it, whistled for him to follow me, put my inventory inside, then killed myself and respawned. After that, I whistled for the Argy again so he came to me, and I got my stuff back.

What an adventure. The love–hate relationship with Ark gets stronger every day lol.

I've uninstalled it. I've upgraded everything on my end. I fixed problems I didn't even know I had. I've unfixed things...I've done nearly everything that I can to get this game to work for longer than 10 minutes.

It was running just fine all the way up until the really big update that happened last week.

Then after that update, every 10 minutes or so, the game crashes. Really the only thing I haven't done yet is to uninstall it and come back in 3 months

probably running out of memory, then. the ps5 has a very limited memory capacity and can easily run out if there are a bunch of mods adding new shit that needs to be loaded, ie dinos and structures. most servers are not using console-safe modstacks or testing properly

there are no widespread issues causing a crash like that. pretty generic error, but i have seen no other reports of it. and recent patches have not made any significant graphics tech changes. it is probably not the game or update. first thing to do is reset your config completely, delete the files in \ShooterGame\Saved\Config\Windows in the game directory

The last update did a pretty number on servers and its a pretty well known fact that it produces crashes.

nothing to do to avoid the crashes but you can minimize them by doing some things

1st, try to avoid playing on the island, ragnarock or astreos

2nd: go to the mod section and unnistall all the mods, some will redownload when you enter the server.

3rd: turn off dynamic mod download and cosmetics skins for now, when all its resolved from the wildcard end you can use them again

I keep getting an error message when I try to launch ARK: Survival Ascended. the message says, "DirectX 12 is not supported on your system. Try running without the -dx12 or d3d12 command line argument." I downloaded it via the xbox app on my PC. I have been in contact with both Xbox and microsoft tech support. Hey I posted a few days ago asking for help with my kid's game. He's playing ASA on xbox in the ragnarok map and he's trying to spawn a dino. We've tried multiple different commands that spawn dinosaurs, but none of them are working specifically on xbox. The game will run other commands successfully in xbox, including summoning resources, but any dino related commands don't work. They all work when he uses his cloud save to run them through pc, but his pc is really laggy to the point where it won't even open the game consistently anymore. Anyone have any idea why dino related commands are breaking specifically in xbox but working on the same save in pc?

The poor kid just wants his argie without having to go find and tame one (he's five and gets frustrated by how grindy the game can be) but I'm hitting my limit with trying to do it through the crashing and the lag on pc 😭

With the B+ mods you enable cheats then access them with the radial buff menu where you hold X.

I recommend trying the B+ spawners to get the dino with the level you want then you can either tame it or use the dotame command.

Hi, I was wondering if anyone could possibly help me. I've been playing on an unofficial astreos server. my character was around 110 level with decent gear and all engrams unlocked. The issue presented itself as I logged into the server and noticed that all my things were gone, I was a level 1, I couldn't interact with anything, my implant was not in my inventory, and I couldn't die (including forced sui and drowning, etc). Hi all - since the mega update, I've been getting hard crashes when joining any server or starting a single player game. Everything was fine prior. I have removed all mods, tried official servers, etc. still getting crashes that actually crash the computer entirely when joining servers. My system is i9-14900KF, 64 GB Ram, RTX 4090, lots of drive space, Windows 11 on Steam version of ASA. I've tried different graphics driver versions, including the most current and 566.36 as well as another version. Any ideas? Thx in advance!

if the CPU is older than a year and/or is running on an unpatched board, it is damaged to some degree

probably coincidental. if your microcode is unpatched, the CPU will rapidly degrade and die over a matter of usually 3-9 months, for that model. since ASA is very demanding on the CPU, it tends to manifest stability issues sooner than lighter loads

worth checking. if patched soon enough, it can be stable enough to use, since the patch greatly lowers cpu power draw

it does not undo the damage, though

thx again - I've read about tons of other people having the same issues since the last update - even people on our own cluster are having massive problems getting onto Astraeos since the update. I'll look into the patch, though - I should mention that ASA also sometimes does the same thing when loading and moving from the intro cinematic to the normal menu screen, so it's not entirely limited to joining servers - joining a server or starting an SP game just always causes the issue.

there is no issue causing people's PCs to crash since the update. that is just not how anything - games, windows, process access levels, hardware - works. the only entire PC crash i have seen anyone report recently was some sort of GPU hardware failure

if you are also getting crashes of the actual game that produce an error, that is potentially something else and can be addressed

but if the errors are random-looking or varied, that further points to corruption from hardware issues

but if you dont know what the vmin shift firmware issues are and dont have a patched bios, your CPU is going to die. just a matter of if it is a month or a year before it fails completely. the failure rate for 13th/14th gen i9s on unpatched firmware is 100%. not worth ignoring or blaming on the game

Hey everyone! Hoping somebody could help me out. I play on PS5 and I'm having trouble downloading Circa's RP Deco and Arkitect Structures Remastered. They just won't download. I've tried downloading them through joining the server I want to join, and i've tried through the actual mod list page itself. Anyways, every time I try and download the mod, I'll click install (and then I literally won't touch my playstation), the progress bar will rise (till about halfway ish), and then it'll jump back down, and then increase again, and then just stop. And then it gives me the option to click the "Install" button again.

I've tried literally everything. I've cleared the console saved data, I've cleared the cloud data, and I've even cleared the system cache (through safe mode). I have no other mods installed. I even deleted and reinstalled the game like 2 days ago. I've also tried enabling and disabling Auto-Sync. Currently, it's disabled. Hopefully someone knows how to fix this. Thanks!

I need somebody to explain to me what the exact rule is where sometimes I can’t transfer some items like shotgun/shells or crossbow/grapples if it has been used too recently. I know about the rule where spoil timer items can be only transferred once. I’m wondering what the rule is for weapons/tools? sometimes I can use the weapon during the 15 min timer and still transfer. But sometimes for example if you accidentally reload the weapon before transfer it will then not let you transfer it even after the timer rolls. Just looking for clarification on what the rule is like can I not use the weapon 1 min before timer rolls? 5min before? Etc. Thanks!

I would think the rule is you have to go 15 full minutes without using it to transfer with no issues but I know that’s not true. Because sometimes I can use the weapon a few minutes before transfer and it will let me transfer.

But other times I don’t even remember using the weapon at all recently and it won’t let me transfer it.

I have a question; Im playing single player with a handful of mods, and playing on Valgeuro (literally the only map I'm allowed to play on as any other immediately kicks me back out into PS5's home menu)

And my question is if anyone can help me figure out why I'm crashing. I had removed a few games to allow space, and even deleted/removed maps from ark too. That seemed to work for a little bit and allowed me to play for 30mins, but then when I tried to open my inventory; I got a pop up of "sorry something went wrong" and prompted me to exit the pop up or report. If I try to play on ragnarok it'll kick and crash me on the character create screen.

Is there possibly a mod that's making it pull its hair out and crash me? Or is ps5 being a butt.

Hello does anyone know why often my growing dinos starve to death after half a day even if the maeguana correctly nurse them?
This morning I found one of the yuti dead while the other was totally fine. Both were having the trough icon, both with the same growing percentage. Maeguana still had food in its inventory.
They were close to each other and in the range of the nursing area.
Why after so many days invested in growing them is this happening?

idk 6 foundation might just've been on the max feeding range border so maybe 1 was barely inside the other not. only weird thing is that you said it took half a day for it to starve

Ok thank you, I had 2 raptors and every time I came back to the base, I’d move one raptor and there’d be another clone there. Ended up with 75 raptors before it stopped. It was right after Astraeos dropped, so maybe I need to delete the world and start over. When I looked it up it say there was a 500 game limit, but I’m at 273 and it stopped loading the world.

Lost Colony is screwed 100% since release. every new patch breaks Thrall " Lost Riders " and the City of ARAT PRIME Spawns - THe City is Empty. Since JAN 9 2026 > Made a fresh map Day 1 and the spawns were still non existent. SCREWED is a understatement for the Lost Colony.

Sorry to say this but it might be a memory issue caused by the map size. It's one of the biggest maps available iirc. It might be worth trying to join a unmodded Astraeos server to test if you have any problems loading in.

Anyone else getting huge freezes when loading into singleplayer? Regardless of what map I pick, the game seems to freeze for at least 4 minutes before letting me move. On my main Valguero save, it's somehow even worse, taking around 3 hours to unfreeze. SP has really slow spawns due to not spawning stuff outside your area. not sure what you mean by "spawn hitch error", exactly, but if you are getting a "server hitch" popup, it just means the server froze for some period of time while doing something. usually loading files

otherwise, you can add -ForceIgnoreSingleplayerSpawnRangeCheck to the launch script, but it will still not work as well as a standalone server, and will cause pretty impressive stuttering

Same. Wild card doesn't want to get into all that Animal Abuse stuff. All Dinos only breed with Same Species. So REx with Rex, Dodo with Dodo, You can't breed Aberant Dodo with Regular Dodo or anything like that. Also they need to be male and Female. and Close to each other

of same species
of opposite sex (one male and one female)
within mating range of each other
wandering or set to mate (Enable Wandering or Enable Mating must be enabled on both creatures)
not following anything (Disable Following on both creatures)
unburdened (the creatures must not be carrying so much weight they are unable to move)
not mounted
not spayed/neutered
not having a mating cooldown (once mated females have a mating cooldown interval before they can mate again, the cooldown can also be triggered when transferring the creature between Arks)

Just a suggestion to our developers if your gonna do a patch instead of just releasing it an hoping it will fix the issues. Maybe test them out for a week before sending it to us. Every patch has made the game worse. An even upgraded to pc which has the least issues.

workaround is go on battlemetrics and search for your server by name than press on "copy adress" and open your game in main menu open your ingame console and paste "open ipadress:port" in there and press enter.
