Looking for some help... Twice this week I've logged in and all the labels were blue like I was no longer in my tribe and I couldn't access anything. The first time, I was able to just log out and back in and it was fixed. This morning, nothing seems to work. I've tried re-logging, restoring backups, creating a new tribe and doing AdminCheat GiveAllStructure and AdminCheat TakeAllDino. Everything was successfully added to the tribe. However, it's still all blue to me. I'm not sure what else to do. I run a self-hosted unofficial server. Ideas?

I think some of the cave drops are supposed to be better. I've also noticed yellows tend to be better than reds.
Also if you're on SP or server admin you can increase loot quality in settings. (Or if you don't mind being out of season enable Winter Wonderland event; I've gotten some pretty decent things from Raptor Claus. It's one of the only events that still works on ASE).

But sometimes you just have to check a bunch of em before you get something worthwhile lol.

Try out the Viking longhouse large. There are some techniques that I learned from trying to build that. I also want the round fire pit. But I don't think that is actually craftable

Basically wondering if it could be caused by corrupt cloud data. Some people had it where they got stuck on the refreshing ark inventory screen. Others just got a straight up crash. In both cases it could be fixed by getting your admin to change the cluster IDs so your no longer linked to the corrupt cloud data.

Tier doesn't matter. Only stats really. 400% damage is over the 298% cap on official, so it's already better than anything you could get there. For unofficial and sp the cap is over 700% damage. So it's not the best, but with a few melee levels it'll deal like 1k damage a hit. Just make sure you don't hit arthros with it because you will one tap yourself

Yes, in settings - somewhere in there, you can make your UI bigger and smaller. It's a slider in there somewhere.

Not sure what you mean by "floor". But to be able to place structures that normally needs to be placed on a foundation directly on the ground is a mod thing.

I found it .. To allow structure placement on the floor without foundations in ARK: Survival Ascended, add bDisableStructurePlacementCollision=true to the Game.ini file. This removes foundation requirements and prevents "obstructed" errors.

That a structure requires a foundation for placement is a property on it's blueprint in unreal. So it's an "easy" mod change. But I don't remember if it's read-only so you need to make a new structure blueprint or if you can overwrite the setting on existing structures.

I noticed ASA is much more finicky about placement of structures in caves. If I just place one single structure in a cave, no loot crates will spawn. ASE was much more forgiving.

If you're on a server, I believe you can edit spawn with the spawn settings in the server settings, If you are in single player, there is a mod called "B+ Spawn editor", maybe it has lost colony creatures

Yeah it has them. If it don't you can usually work around it by spawning one next to you and it will allow you to select to get the blueprint path.

There's server settings for maturation speed, baby food consumption rate and spoilage speed. Honestly it's something you need to work out for yourself. If babies food starts getting low and you've ran out just stick in cryo until you can get some more food for them.

After all the updates since then, and with the event currently active, some of these skins that were already unlocked have disappeared. Hi so I was wondering is anybody else experiencing certain issues with aberration? I’ve built in the green zone, whenever I go into the blue zone now I always end up crashing, I never used to crash consistently, also I used a 2x2 reverse trap to knock out a yi ling, I was at 30 stacks of feathers too but the yi ling never dived down at me at all I had the set up correct, and with the aberrant dung beetle, it doesn’t collect any surrounding feces unless the dinosaurs are inside the greenhouse with it. I crashed, had valentines mod installed, I reload the game to uninstall, it uninstalled, I go back to redownload it and join and it says to uninstall again, you can’t uninstall an already uninstalled mod

that is a save-data-related bug on ps5 due to how it handles mod storage, nothing to do with the mod itself or the actual storage. go into system settings and restore licences for ark, then sync cloud save data

framegen still has to use the GPU to compute the extra "frames", it lowers your real framerate and is generally not going to get anywhere near double fps in GPU-heavy games

that was.. sort of but not really true 15 years ago, i guess. it depends massively on the game, and what framerate you are targeting. CPU use cant be measured in a single percentage, for most software. it has multiple cores, each core is doing it's own thing. some software can use multiple cores equally, some cant, some uses a single core only.

all that did was reset your graphics options, which "fixed" it

and the command in question "worked" by ordering the game to just load more textures than the GPU can physically fit, which absolutely decimates fps. like 70-90% loss in places

post ue5.5 it loads as much as the GPU can actually handle instead of a fixed amount

im not sure what you mean exactly, but switching the mods will change what you’re able to craft via the holiday section of the smithy. i believe that if you craft a bunch of the cosmetics you want to place, youll still be able to use them after you switch the mods

Hi guys - I'm trying to log in to the last map I played (Astreos) and I can't find it in the Session list on the Join page. I see my other two maps just fine, but can't find Astreos. I logged into the other map and I can see it in the cluster in the game, but not on the Join page. Any ideas? I stopped, updated, and re-started the map, but nada (Gotta love when Wildcard erases all my "Favorites" ).

I have a question. I bought a new PC and installed ASE and BattleEye. Everything worked fine at first, but after the second day, I couldn't connect to servers anymore and got the error message "BattleEye Bad Version." I've tried everything I could find online, from removing all mods, the entire game, and all BattleEye files, to disabling antivirus programs, etc., but nothing has worked. The Astraeos server on the cluster I play on is not showing as running either. I'm not an admin on the cluster so I have no idea what the problem is. I suspect the Astraeos servers need a manual restart after the last patch.

if ur on non dedicated server and in ASE its a very common issue if you have limit from host to a high number

It turned out that somehow, on my server, the Rcon port got switched and all the crossplay buttons were checked, meaning the server was opened up for cross play. I was using the filters to search for PC Only. So, I fixed the port and unchecked all the cross play options (I run my own server), and I found Astraeos. Check your filters on the Join page. It looks as if the “Favorites” option in filters is not working again.

Ya, this problem may be entirely unrelated as the cluster is open to cross-play and I've not had the pc only option checked for server filters.

Well, try to check them again. Sometimes you need to uncheck and recheck those dumb filters. Those filters have always been a problem. If you’re not the server owner, it will be up to that person to check the ports, etc. But, I really think it’s a client-side filter problem, especially if your other maps are showing up and only one isn’t.

I really don’t know why arc can’t just search for the name. It’s so dumb.

so I was playing my singleplayer world last night when my game crashed. I logged back on only to see my map had reset and the game says I have no explorer notes. this wouldn't be too bad if it hadn't been for the fact I have been trying to 100% the game and have made it to Aberration at this point. I have been giving my self back the explorer notes I'm missing with the GiveExplorerNote X command but have run into an issue, I can't find the IDs for the bobs tales DLC notes or the prelog and prolog cutscenes for the Island and scorched. would anyone happen to know what the IDs are?

bugs drop chitin that can be made into paste, the best way is tame an argy and go find beaver dams

note empty the whole dam even if you dont take everything typically throwing out the wood

if you don't empty the dam it won't respawn

Swamp cave with frog is best source of cementing paste on the island but that's more for late game. Early game yeah your best bet is beaver dams like the others are saying.

Sorry got distracted I'd recommend you try joining a unmodded public server on one of the maps you want to play just to see if it works. Server play puts less of a strain on your system than single player with Ark. Basically will allow us to see if its a issue with SP on series S or something else that's causing the issue.

And I really haven't played around with the template hammer since it seemed really unreliable. I think you can use different material tiers but I can't say for certain. I'd recommend testing by making a quick 1 square box template with wood then trying to recreate it with thatch.
