Mods aren't downloading and there are no news widgets in the main menu. Mods start downloading, but the progress is always at 0, and then they reset. How can I fix this?

In single-player, I played with the "show InstancedFoliage" and "show InstancedStaticMeshes" configs, which significantly altered the graphics and removed trees and rocks. After that, the problems started. But it could be due to something else.
-Deleting the Gameusersettings file and deleting the Saved\Config\Windows folder itself didn't help.
-Uninstalled Steam and the game twice. Redownloaded it from scratch. Didn't help.
-Runned file verification multiple times. All files passed verification. Didn't help.
-Resetting graphics and game settings to defaults in the game itself didn't help.
-Reinstalling BattleEye and CurseForge didn't help.
-Turned SteamCloud syncing on and off, but when it's enabled, there's no save file (0/1.86 GB). Didn't help.
-Tried using the Zapret app. The client couldn't connect to the mods—an error occurred. I removed the blocking code, cleared it via CMD (sc stop windivert1.4, sc delete windivert1.4, netsh int ip reset, netsh winsock reset).
-I disabled the firewall. I disabled the antivirus. It didn't help.
-The client version matches the server version.
-I can access the official servers by entering the command ark.useserverlist 0 in the console. (The server list wasn't hidden before, but now you have to enter this command to make them appear.)
-I updated my Amazon certificates, but it didn't help.
-I wasn't authorized in the CurseForge app (although the CurseForge user agreement still appeared the first time I launched the game after reinstalling). I managed to log in using Discord. It didn't help. (But the list of apps only shows Minecraft, WoW, and other games, not Ark.)
-C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc\hosts is clean and doesn't block the connection.

You can get 150 on the Island in ASE. I do. But you have to also edit the ini to get it to work.

Also if I remember, for some creatures only kibble gives max effectiveness. For those you may lose a level or two with prime.
For something I recently tamed, forgot what lol. But it says on dododex.

With broth of enlightenment you can hit 105 in like 15 minutes doing the OSD

If you kill a titano with bleed you get no xP though so it’s necessary to only bleed it down to really low and then kill with like pumpgun. Then you get all the xP too, and not share it with mount

im not sure if this is an ark issue or a steam issue, but for some reason its asking me for xbox control inputs when in certain menus. I cant launch a singleplayer world or download a mod for example as it requires a controller input, however i have never had a controller connected to the pc so im not sure whats causing this.

I’m having an issue where my pc shuts itself down but the power button light is still running so I have to hold it down to properly turn it off then back on. This happens quite a bit on asa but also in other games too. I have 48gb ram the processor is amd ryzen 5 3600 6 core processor and it says 12gb graphics card idk the rest.

It used to show my cpu would reach over 80 and nearly 90 degrees celcius while playing but now it’s closer to 70 bc I upgraded fans, gpu is around 45 and gpu memory gets around 60-70.

I only had one sadly I’m very new to the game haven’t played since ark originally came out. The save was from my first day so I had to start over I just wanted to avoid it for the future but I’ll make sure to backup more. Just wasn’t sure if this was common or not.

I don't play single player so no idea how that works. But servers automatically backup up like ever 2 hours, but saves every 15 minutes. So if a save gets corrupted you can still loose 2 hours. I've set up a schedules task that copies the files every 15 minutes to a new name on to a separate disk.

How do you change the backup interval? It's not on wiki. The save interval and number of backups are there. But they also recommend you use an external backup tool instead.

Question -
Rented server from Nitrado. Ended up switching maps with 5 friends and something went wrong. I was the only member to download my character onto the new map before things went wrong. Everyone else is still in the ark/terminal uploaded. I had the restore a backup file to get everything back. Resulting in putting us back on the old map. When I logged onto the old map my character and one of my friends characters weren't in the ark. Is the other tribe members still in the ark even though I backed up the server to before they uploaded themselves? Or maybe it's a duplication, they have their character in the ark but also a character on the map? Thanks everyone, sorry for the long question.

Uploaded stuff(dinos and players) are stored separately from the world save. So you may need to restore those to the same state as the world save you restored. I'm not familiar with Nitrado so don't know how.

sounds like an incomplete rollback. you need to restore the MapName_WP.ark file and the PlayerIDNumber.arkprofile (player info like name, id, levels, engrams, ect) in order for the player to be connected to their character

it has extreme loading speed issues, which can result in it just never loading if you installed it on a particularly slow drive, ie a HDD or particularly old SATA SSD

you should use the older version if possible, but will only be able to play with people/servers also on the older version. otherwise, the game should be installed on your fastest drive

If you are going to keep breeding for mutations it's important that you don't inherit unnecessary mutation counter. If both mother and father has +4 in HP mutation it doesn't get added to 8 for the child. But the mutation counter will add.

and the parts are relatively new models? if so, it wont have a hard drive. your issue is probably entirely due to the current game version being buggy.
you can switch to the old version by rightclicking the game in steam -> properties -> betas -> select "pre-aquatica". this will "update" the game back to version 358, which may take hours. make sure anyone else you want to play with is also on pre-aquatica. most modded servers are using it as well

Hi I have a problem with my world in ark after entering a single-player world, different wild dinosaurs appear than those that were there before I left the world. I should also mention that I save the world before I exit the game. Does anyone have any ideas on how to fix this?

if ya want 100% taming effectiveness, ya have to be prepared in advance by enabling "Friendly Fire"

because otherwise, ya are expected to go on a rampage while minding creatures that can damage ya

by far the best creature to kill is the Diplodocus

as it cannot damage anything and has high HP pool

on Single Player, ya can do it from the Pause Menu

on non-dedicated, ya have to use this command

but the command will override the default limit of 3 so make sure to regularly delete old backups because if ya have too many backups, it can corrupt your save file again

also, when ya perform a backup, the world is automatically saved alongside so ya don't need to use the saveworld command or save from the Pause Menu afterwards

I've been told that it's much more reliable on clustered servers but I have lost faith in that feature

I just transfer everything using my player or the Inventory tab but be wary that depending on the host, each server can have an expiry timer for how long the items can remain in the Terminal

default is 24 hours which continues to tick even when the server is off

I know i can download my survivor so i do that but i get 105 level plus i get the 15 more levels option after ascending. But i dont want that i want to start brand new with the implant saying i beat the alpha manticore but i dont want to have 105 levels or more. How do i fix this? i play on evoulved.

that's what I said, the extra levels are tied to your implant which when ya Ascend, ya get extra levels but not all bosses do in ASE.

i got to max level on scorched thats why it transfered the 105 levels and gave me 15 more levels like not instantly but i can level up to level 120

Is there any data on how insulation affects food/water drain rate? I believe it does decrease it as you get more insulation, from what I remember last time I played, but I don't know if we have any actual data on drain rate vs insulation?
