honestly, i would settle for nothing but good carchars, gigas will die meks will die they cant outheal the massive damage. And on full stacks (which you have after like half first wave) you outdmg giga.
with a good carchar, you can solo the drops using nothing but a single carchar dont even need mate boost (but imprint is necessary) and not really struggle, i ran a bunch on official 0 issues.
Just make sure to block the Drop if you want to run many waves, best is tek shield (bubble) or gates if you arent in tek tier. wild corrupted cant damage structures anymore on official like it was in ASE so metal or stone should be fine.

I solo purple OSDs with 4 fully stacked Carchars wearing ~150 saddles. When I approach the drop, this is my sequence of steps. 1. approach on an owl and Put metal gates around the drop, bring extras in case they break; 2. put a dino leash in the middle with the drop; 3; throw out the carchars, likely the shield will still be in place at this time; 4) get on one of the carchars and whistle aggressive.

The 3 unridden carchars tend to cluster on a side; I generally just take the other directions and also guard the gates, running around like a madman. If the unridden carchars get to the wrong spots I'll occasionally whistle "go here" to get them repositioned. When enraged beasts come, I attack them myself, and depending on how hairy the fight is I might also whistle "attack this target." Red drops are a cakewalk; I usually take purples up to around level 12.

This is on an unofficial cluster where we have 3x gather rates and mutation potions so it's far easier to get to full stacked mutations. otherwise all settings are official.

What makes you say it's because of mods? You can always try it without the custom cosmetics mods. You don't loose anything by playing without them. Placed structures retain there cosmetics for when you install it again.

-preventhibernation is a pretty miss understood setting. It does not fix spawn in any way, it just makes dinos go into stasis instead of hibernation when out of render range. Only really useful if you use mods that wants to access dinos that are far away. Like Dino Finders.

How/who do I contact about getting my ark working again? Since the last update, I cannot access any of my server maps without deleting all mods. My character is on a modded map so when I load in, I also immediately crash. Have the server admin disable mods one at a time to test what mods is the issue, then contact that mods author.

Just remember to take a backup of the world first since some stuff can disappear when disabling mods.

On Xbox the way around this as of now is to manage game & addons > saved data > reserved data and delete reserved data. This removes all your mods and you’ll have to reinstall them when logging in to your server but it did work for me yesterday and a few others

does anyone have any tipes to increase framerates on lost colony? I have been going steady at about 30 fps with a LOT of LOW fps spikes, like 5fps low. it's almost like the game is constantly trying to re-render over and over and over and over... and over again for the first time. I am trying to upload & download my tames from ragnarock to extinction. I threw them out without saddles and uploaded them to the ark. On extinction I can't download them unless that dino is on the map. So I just left them in there. Went back to ragnarock and pulled them all out and cryopoded them and put them in the ark. Went to The Island and as soon as I pull them out the cryopod it dies. I just want to be able to use all my tames on any map. Any help would be appreciated, thank you.

however, keep in mind that one ya cluster your servers, any uploaded creatures and items inside terminals before ya enable clustering will not be accessible

Really the fight isn't too bad as long as Wildcard fixes the timer issue. You technically get 1 hour to finish the dungeon, 10 minutes to get prepared for the final fight, and 15 + 15 for the stages of the final fight. Cutscenes also count toward the timer... Fix the city outpost or make alpha give more sigils. It’s 200 sigils for the boss. You get 2 per alpha outpost. So with a full 6 man you need 17 outpost. We ran 5…. 4 of those outpost either had thralls glitched or the boss didn’t spawn

warning, it's very difficult and ya can't stop it until ya finish Wave 6

if ya do want to continue, ya can go up to 160

they're extremely hard though, except multiple Enraged Rexes which gives ya debuff that reduce all damage to other corrupted creatures by 50% and it comes with no less than 100k HP

if ya land the killing blow on it however, ya can get up to 300k xp from killing just one

Today was our third attempt at the Lost Colony boss fight.

The first attempt failed because someone left a dino on the platform and it got pulled into the fight. You can’t progress if every dino doesn’t move through the rooms with the group.

On the second attempt, we couldn’t deal any damage to Mei in the final room.

On the final attempt, we actually completed the fight and triggered the final cutscene—only to be teleported back into the boss arena afterwards. There was no timer, we were completely stuck, and the only way out was to kill ourselves. None of the fight counted and no implant change. 🙃

This needs fixing. I shouldn’t be on my fourth attempt just to complete the fight once, especially when the outposts are already broken and farming sigils is a nightmare.

You need to hold it until it sniffs the air. Then drop it and run back a ways

I am currently trying to load into an ark server with mods, everytime i load in though the mods arent loaded and when i try to spawn i get a black screen and its like my character isnt registered, ive tried uninstalling and reinstalling the game and the uninstalling and reinstalling the mods, ive verified my files, i have a 3060 and 16gb of ram, thats not the problem because the game has ran completely fine in the past with medium to high settings, ive moved to my external and internal hard drive but nothings worked, the only way ive solved this problem in the past is by completely resetting my computer and ive done it again recently except the problem is still here, yes ive tried a host dedicated with the same exact mods and i loaded in fine, i also load fine into other servers and when i load in on a different steam account it gets rid of the problem temporarily but the the next day i'll try to load in and i cant load the structures or the server so I will have my body killed but then the same thing happens, mods dont load, character doesnt load and i eventually lose connection. I just need help trying to figure out the problem because its starting to happen on other servers and its making the game unplayable

The past few days my friends companion veilwyn is just gone when she logs back in, like, its not in the dino tracker anywhere. There is no death log/notification, its just gone from the game as if it never existed. Shes kind of scared to tame another and make it a companion in case it keeps happening

Does anyones know how to fix the invisible trees issue? I mean, the trees are there, I can harvest them, I just cant see them so have to swing my axe blindly til I hit them. And they keep spawning through foundations too which is annoying.

Its not all trees, just some of them. like they go invisible the moment I harvest them and dont show up visually until I reload game.

You just need to kill males and get the pheromone then get the female rhynio low hp and feed the pheromone to your bronto and she will do a stab animation and plant a baby

It's hard to know if the flying rhynio is female or a male so trying to get it to be low hp will be quite difficult without killing it
