I went through all the troubleshooting steps with them

it can't be creative mode because that sets it to 99999 and not 21k exactly

I use this game.ini setting to change gains per level to 4× higher than normal if he's been messing with them could get those results. PerLevelStatsMultiplier_Player[7]=4

Yeah but it's pretty easy to accidentally make a change on the settings and if the stats are so much higher than normal that's most likely the case. Best to go in to the settings and use the find on page feature to look for the setting and double check. 🤷‍♂️

if ya have mods to swap gender, ya can save time

always keep the original stud because whenever ya get a new mutation on a female, instead of wasting time and waiting for a male to appear, ya can breed her with the original

Vaults from missions act like transmitters. The defence ones don't require starting to access so you can use them as obelisk terminals.

Been awhile since i played ark, but im getting a Graphic Glitch making everything look like playdough
I have a 4060ti and i remember playing it without that glitch, i already tried everything that i found by googling

• i tried setting a start up thingy that makes it use old shader stuff (or something like that)
• i tried restarting it multiple times
• i tried using the Nvidia tool to set the graphics
• i tried unselecting the high res stuff
  i did just reinstall it, i dont know if reinstalling it again would help?
  My boyfriend is having the same thing, he has a newer gpu then me (nvidia too) and we are playing our modded cluster

Just spreading the hope that Lost Colony outposts and missions get patched so that missing enemies get re-spawned to prevent the mission from becoming soft locked.

Yeah the missions and extinction drops really need a safeguard where enemies despawn or teleport if can't move or attack within a certain period of time.

Also hope gamepads get ability to manually reload while mounted before Ark 2 drops. But been waiting around 10 years for that so given up on that one.

The reason PvP servers don't have players is because of bugs; it's because four people show up with cheats and prevent you from progressing

If you like the game, the bugs are there, you can let them go, but when other people come along and prevent you from progressing because they always know where you are, and if you hide loot they see it too, well, it's difficult to play like that

that is not typical, usually means network issues. delete both mod folders in ARK Survival Ascended\ShooterGame\Binaries\Win64\ShooterGame and verify the game files, disable any third party antivirus or network-restricting software

You can kinda do it by deleting your local save data for ark and making sure it doesn't sync to the cloud when you start it back up. Draw backs are you lose any single player data and your settings in options.

your hardware is well below minimum spec, it cant run the game as in. it needs to be installed on a SSD to load correctly. fix that, and you could play it to some degree, although the GPU and low memory is still an issue

OK changing cluster ID fixes it but will course players to lose anything that's still in the cloud.

It's from corrupted data in cloud so you change the ID to make it so your no longer linked to it.

BTW the clouds linked to your account not your character so it's a bit surprising that making a new character stopped it. Reason it expired might be from the 24 hour timer running out. If it's character data that's corrupted though it can last indefinitely.

Xbox is a bit weird, sometimes it patches main game but not the maps and vice versa. Doesn't register the other updates until you restart.

Have you checked your weight stat to if it says you have the weight on you? Had a similar issue before and was to do with inventory filters.

I ended up having to delete my local save data to fix it and prevent xbox from syncing data. Might be a better solution on steam. You just need to make sure the filter settings are switched back to default.

Guessing you possibly transferred with a thrall in your inventory? Generally there's no real way out of this glitch you just have to wait it out . Usually resolves after 24 hours. We sorted out it was happening to our players if they transferred thralls or outpost keys off LC

Fix is it to change cluster IDs for the servers so the players are no longer linked to the bugged cloud.

Naturally this requires access to the server management. There isn't anything you can do if your a player and your admin isn't available I'm afraid.

OMG, I think I have a screwy setting somewhere! I run my own map on a personal server and use Arkasm as a server manager. My weight capacity is suddenly 10k! I thought it might be because I went into Creative Mode. So, I logged out and in - changed beds - tried to kill myself from my implant (I can't for some reason) - logged out and in - restarted the server - checked my player settings in the server manager (weight is set at 1!) and used a mind wipe. Nothing worked. So, just now, I killed my character and created a new one. Weight is still at 10k!! Help!! 😲

saves/mods have absolutely nothing to do with updating, and if you are having technical issues with updating, a reinstall will likely make it worse. describe what happens?

as far as backups, the data for installed mods and the actual mod files are in \ARK Survival Ascended\ShooterGame\Binaries\Win64\ShooterGame, saved maps are in \ARK Survival Ascended\ShooterGame\Saved\SavedArksLocal, and some mod save data is in \ARK Survival Ascended\ShooterGame\Saved\SaveGames

yesterday when i saw the update i clicked it so i could continue on scorched, and it taking 10 years wasnt much of a surprise, but half the time it wasnt showing the Mbps so seemed like progress wasnt being made half the time, and it was either on the updating portion or the verifying bit or both since ive been doing this since last night, it just gets stuck right at 99%, then itll be there indefinitely, even checked the disk usage in the download and all it said was 1, and no other game has had this issue before, only ascended, verifying doesnt work stays at 0%, and restarting steam and the pc didnt fix it

it very much can, both due to steam using it to patch, and a bad enough drive can actually lag the entire PC at a hardware level by making the storage controller have a stroke

if it has steam games on it, steam is probably using it to patch

I do use mods, but I can’t see why this would affect only one stat. I’ve restarted the server several times. GCM is off. I made sure of it, since I thought that was what started the trouble in the first place. I might have a typo in the game.ini. I just saw that on a Reddit thread right now. I’ll check it tomorrow. Either that, or I’m wondering if it has something to do with that skill on the Lost Island DLC where you can still move even if you are encumbered. I haven’t earned that skill yet.

You can try to slomo 100 in this area for a few minutes. This should spawn them back. Also, activate prevent hibernation in your launch options

a launch command (PC only) that makes far-away dinos in singleplayer freeze instead of despawn, like a server does. it uses a lot of extra memory and does not really help much, since it does not change how spawns work

Thanks, yes, I always keep backups, but since I just launched this map, all the backups were from the last 24 hours. The vanilla settings were to keep ... 30? backups only, and the backups were happening every 15 minutes so it wouldn't have helped to go back to an old save. I've changed Saves to every hour now, and I'll back up the saves to a different drive every day, like I used to do on the old Evolved cluster. It's always tough when you start to host clusters, the first fews days are always multiple restarts, asking questions on Discord, Googling for help, etc. I really appreciate your help, thank you Fluffdragon, you were great today. i tried the mod and the dinos were spawning far from me but still the thralls arent spawning, also did a dino wipe and still no thralls but now creatures spawn far away from me and dont disappear from existence when i venture far away from them, so thats a win for me. Thanks.

You get a similar issue on servers after a dino wipe. I find running the cheat savegame then restarting the server fixes it. Not sure if that will work for single player to. But you could try running the destroywilddinos command, wait 15min for stuff to respawn run the savegame command then quit and reload and see if the thralls start spawning.

Honestly I don't think it will work though. Spawns in single player and non dedicated have always been wierd.

Hello, do we have any information on how to fix the mobs that need to be killed outside of mission zones?

All we can really do is try to snipe them from inside the zone. Tek sniper can work if they are close enough and inside terrain. Tek rifle can work if hit detection is being funny when the thralls are stuck floating. If you have a net projectile mod it works on the sniper boss in Marksman Hold mission so he stops teleporting everywhere.

If you don't have the tek weapons you could try other explosives but the damage output might be a bit lacking.

I do to tek railgun does work in those scenarios sometimes but not if they are to far in to the terrain or to far away. In those scenarios your only choice is to give up. Tek railgun got nerfed in to the ground thanks to pvp exploits unfortunately can't say it was a surprise though.

Which map are you playing on LC and Aberration both have serious performance issues. Using the "R.volumetriccloud 0" and "R.volumetricfog 0" commands in the console can help a little but you'll still have problems on those 2 maps.

You also tend to get better performance on dedicated servers so that might be worth a go.

Sounds like an issue with the filters in the inventories (bottom of the screen). Check to see if they are set to show all. If they are then you might need to delete your local save data for ark and prevent it from syncing. This will make it so your settings reset, lose single player data and have to redownload mods though.

Alphas are best for tools but not sure if they give clubs. Gachas + helicoprion with pegomastax to grab the crystals will be easiest if you have access to the critters and are willing to do the set up.

Recommend the B+ spawn editor mod if the critters don't spawn on your map so you can add them in.

Yeah they can. Quality is dependent on crafting skill on the gacha. You get faster production and better quality if you position 2-3 snow owls so they spit up owl pellets in front of the gacha.

Gachas + pegos + indi grinder is actually a pretty crazy way to get resources kinda gives fiber craft on official settings lol.

Everything has been updated and I all of a sudden can’t play my rag map just that one will not load crashes me to my dashboard. hey everyone, I am playing on ASA, I went to go put my artifacts in an obelisk to summon the manticore on scorched earth, 2 of the artifacts went in normally, the 3rd one went into the "inventory" tab where you upload the player items prior to uploading your character and cannot be removed to attempt to place it back into the obelisk. I went to ARK, Open ARK folder on your Xbox (Manage game and add-ons), then go down to Save data and delete the "Reserved Space" file. It allows me to play for while but the drawback is you have re-download mods. Its a temporary fix.

that's a known issue and there's currently a bug where creatures can despawn as soon as ya leave render distance

It's a issue with spawns and hibernation on locally hosted games unfortunately. I don't know of a fix since I always run servers to avoid those issues.

Hey yall, since the last update people on our server have been having issues transferring. Their characters wont upload and on the next map, they get prompted to make a new character.

We haven't changed settings but i dont have access to that right now (i am just an admin, not the owner).

Is this a known issue? did WC change something that may have affected our settings?

So because we get shunted on pve when tribes purposely build on outpost defences when a group of us work together and use all our sigils we get a bug from the lost queen we pay dlc for and all we get Is sorry for inconvenience and we can't progress to do the boss fight and she had 9k hp left and 7 minutes. 100 aberration sigils gone and all you get as a response is oh well.

Have they fixed Thrall’s breaking when riding mounted Dino’s? Thought it would be a really cool feature. So made 10 thralls ride 10 Rexes and brought them to a boss fight. Then the Rexes’s AI totally broke, wouldn’t move or fight. Very disappointing

Seems like the malwyn is bugged on console. All my tribemembers experience the same issue. The butt glider gets stuck when you press r1. You just glide infinitely. Another thing is that the ambushing strike cooldown isn’t working either I get it everytime I attack a creature

And it's against WC coc and nothing gets done. that's unfortunately a risk ya have to take when ya play on a server that ya have no control over

just so ya know, the King Titan has no tame limit, ya can bring as many tames as ya want and deploy them before the fight

ya don't need to start the Battle beforehand

and I highly recommend taming the Titans as well, at least Forest and Ice

Forest deals full damage to the King Titan during his "downed" phase and has the most amount of health

and the Ice Titan is the best fighter among them

that's an actual thing by the way because when Extinction was released in ASA, day 1 had a bug where Meteors can hit the inside of the city

it got patched later but this means that they can designate areas where Meteors cannot hit, not just the domes

OSD and Element Veins spawn on specific locations throughout the map so they're probably designated as no meteor areas
