2. Set your Veilwyn as your companion pet (don't draw aggro)
   2a. Clear out the area of wild and tamed creatures, Solwyns aggro on other stuff easily, we don't want that
3. Use your whistle to perform tricks on the Veilwyn
4. The curiosity meter will rise with every trick up to 100%
5. Bada bing bada boom! Vulpite

That was a short stay on LC. I barely arrived in the city and walked onto the teleporter when, whoosh, black screen and back to my Series X start page. Anyone else having problems with AMD gpu since Lost Colony? I can't play any map anymore since the update. Lost Colony ran for about 5 minutes, then it crashed when I closed the crafting screen. Now all maps crash. Also I have to reboot my computer or the screen turns grey with a few blue vertical lines. After a few crashes I went straight to fill out a bug report and it even did the grey screen/blue lines thing when loading a web page. Rebooting my computer fixes it and all is well till I run ASA again and it crashes out after exiting the crafting menu

If you're talking about when the thralls attack you in the city , you should also have an icon at the bottom right of your screen that has a number on it.
If you go to one of the purple glowing areas and find the zombies and slay them , that number will go down and the npcs will no longer be hostile.

I think I figured out what it is. You can make a companion bed to display your shoulder pets. And there is a new command in the companion whistle command list called "rest" that sends them to it.

According to the player who has this issue, it started after getting a treasure key from a npc on Lost Colony. He opened the treasure but apparently the key is "stuck" in his inventory. Even a respawn (by traveling between beds, or by killing his character) or a transfer doesn't fix the issue.

We've stumbled upon a crash after the release of LC. We are 4 active players, two of which cannot access the terminal to download/upload creatures since it crashed whenever they click on the "creatures" tab. Put the saddle on the evo giga/rex inventory and you should be able to select it, and on the bottom of inventory there is option to convert to evo version! You cant change them back to vanilla versions though.

How to tame Gloon:

1. Have a quick gloon sesh (you need a clear mind and sharp senses)

2. Find an aberrant crash site

3. Clear all the revenants around without aggroing the gloons, best way to do this is to shoot one with a longneck from 6-700 metres away

4. Shoot the gloon of your choice in the eyes, this won't deal damage, instead the eyes will deflate and the gloons will float down to the ground

5. At this point, you may feed the gloon

6. Rinse and repeat until tamed, taking care of any revenants that may respawn

How to tame Aureliax:

Prerequisites: Flak Armour, Pump-Action Shotgun/strong ranged weapon AND Managarmr

1. Find an Aureliax, if they're up in the sky lure them down with your Mana

2. Use your Mana to clear out the area, don't aggro the Aureliax. If not then use the Mana to kite into a safe area

3. Go up to the Aureliax and interact with it, this will let you ride it

4. It will now ask for a random tool (metal pick, metal hatchet, longneck, double barrel shotgun etc.). Give it this tool

5. The Aureliax will now drop an egg which will be attacked by Neophytes in waves

6. Your Mana is not much use here, put on your Flak and pull out your shotgun, get shooting

7. Depending on the level of the egg, the wave difficulty changes

8. Once the hordes are cleared, collect the egg, hatch and raise like a normal baby!

This will sound counter intuitive however I have been told that if you go into mods, installed mods, then select uninstall all mods. It will clean up the storage issue.

Turn on disable dynamic cosmetic downloads in advanced settings then go to mod store and click uninstall all mods then close game and try again. If it's not that, then try freeing up at least 70gb of storage on your system

What is going on with server hosting I am playing on my friends lightly modded server and it is going down like everyone 3 to 4 hours you would think if it was a problem with mods it would go down fast or not even go up like I tried to help him by warning him about the npc and dinos because of the thralls macanics and interactions could break because they could not be code in or a counted for until they are updated so those mods were removed and it is still crasheing what other mods do I warn him about so I can help I'm trying not to spoil anything

I couldn't figure out how to run a vram stress test but I tried a few other games and came back to ASA and played on Valguero for an hour or so with no issues. But every time I try Lost Colony, it crashes soon as I open the item menu. I can run around on the map and collect stuff and fight mobs but soon as I press I to open the item menu, it freezes then crashes after 10 or so seconds. I get the report crash box from from ASA and another report crash box from AMD.

Things I did:
cleared space to make sure I had 90gbs free
Turned ps5 on in safe mode and cleared the cache
In ark settings I made sure to unblock all mods
Deleted and re-installed game

Is wildcard ever gonna fix the world deletion problems for ps5 dude. Like when i delete a world i still get loaded into that same save but when i use a backup save. My worlds "collide" i guess? And now i have duped characters and duped structures.

turn off Cinematic Lighting, update your drivers, and also if you're on a good rig turn your settings up to epic (i know it sounds weird, but it fixed it for me). I had the same issue (scorched earth ran like shit), the biggest problem causer was cinematic lightning

Hmm, I didn't have Cinematic Lighting on to begin with. I have a bunch of stuff on Epic already...gonna try updating drivers.

well some other stuff i did:
In nvidia control panel test:
Low latency mode ON or OFF (for me off runs better)
After you update your drivers, reset your shader cache fully (disable it in nvcp, remove the files, remove it with disk cleanup, then re enable it), then fly around the map for a few minutes so the shader cache loads again (this will cause stuttering but then it'll smooth out once it loads)
also im using rtss capped slightly below my refresh rate, generally a good thing to have.
if you have any sort of VRR (freesync, gsync) then try it, if you have foliage interaction on in game, turn it off (water interactions can stay, just turn the foliage sliders to the left).
updating drivers should improve it a lot, but after you reset ur shader cache which i recommend doing be ready for it to stutter on every map until it loads fully

and generally never turn on cinematic lighting due to the fact that it seems broken (at least for me), it doesn't do anything graphics wise, except tanking my fps and introducing stutter
