It’s fine, I’ll do my best. Just keep in mind that I’ve probably messed up some of the steps so you should still watch a tutorial later. So in your SavedArks file, you can find your Island backups, and the one at the top can be replaced. The last step gets tricky depending on your situation, so a video on how to do it should help you out. Sorry I couldn’t help more, I’m afraid of giving you false info

If they are you can use it as your next stud.

Yes, if both mutations are in stamina and you want stamina then you can continue with this male as your stud.

All offspring of this 2 mutation male with have 2 mutations.

Not all of the offspring will have the stat increase though.
Stat increase and mutation counter are two different things.

As far as mutations being maternal or paternal it does not matter.
They just have to be in the stat you want.

The only real time you look at where a mutation came from is if you have made an error in beeedifn and you want to back track.

Your male has 2 mutations ( 4 point increase ) in stamina

You females have 0 mutations and have the base stamina points

Everytime you beeed there is a 55% chance the baby will get the higher stat.

This is why you sometimes don’t get the higher stat.

You always get the mutation count though.

I thought I knew how mutation works but its so much more complicated when something out of script happens (I basically got told to kill any mutated female but apparently if u still have the original male unmutated you can breed them together and try to get the mutated male back through this way

You can modify the 55% chance with traits and gigaraptor feathers.

Feathers in female.

In your case you would want stamina robust trait to modify the 55% chance

Is the mutation still active and just needs to be breed with a higher stat dino from this mutation's stat, or is it basically a fake mutation that just ruins your breeding ? (BABY being a male btw)

It’s a fake mutations that ruins your breeding.

Why ? Is because there is you breed a 2 mute male with a 2 mute female you will get a 4 mute baby. But it may not have any of the stats or bonus stats.
The next time you breed it it could be 6. If you make the mistake again.

Dont worry lmao ! Cause I always just used to check on mutation count and see which stat got upgraded, never thought a male with the mutations could actually just get a lesser stat that ruins it. SO, if I use a male that has a mutation with the stat increase, and make sure it does increase furthermore (each time I wanna change the main male of mutation basically) I should be good ? This should fix my mess...and btw is it viable to breed for multiple mutation at once or is it not recommended ?

I breed more for fun then to get a perfect sink.
So I match all my stats on all females and the male prior to breeding. Trying to get the highest possible in the stat I want to mutate. They usually end of being pretty high level.

Yes. I settle on the stats that I want them breed to those. Swapping out undisred Dino’s until all stats match on all Dino’s. This is your base breed stats.

The male from the group is GOLD Never discard him. You will use him over and over again

Then stat breeding for mutations.

Get some binoculars and use the hatchery.

Some servers have mods you can use to see the stats, otherwise you can just check the hp or other stats and put it in a stat calculator online to see the stat number, generally when you start a line you want something over 50 stat points

Then start breeding that good stat with other females etc until u got a lot of then. Then just start breeding until you see a mutation that you like afterwards you breed the mutated one instead of the normal ones

There is just one thing you gotta check, you can have 20 or 40 mutations per gender not sure how many exactly, so at first you mutate it on the males because thats easiest and after you got the max you switch over to the females

all highly situational. there is no such thing as a premade set of "performance" commands that work well for everyone. the texture bias ones are for PCs with extremely low video memory, and wont have much, if any, effect on actual performance

any performance increase is going to require quality sacrifices, depends on what they are ok losing. disabling raytracing is a decent boost, so is removing shadows, but it will look pretty funky

Not sure. Mine does this too. It does it on Astraeos some over by the lake to the far east. Not as bad though. I assume it has to do with the way the light is sourced and reflected on objects. Oddly enough, it doesn't do it in the "Aberration Like" cave in Astraeos now that I think of it.

We have a cluster with Rag, Island and SE, I was travelling from Rag to Island via the Obelisk, but when I wanted to travel back to Rag, I got stuck in the "Refreshing Ark Inventory" screen as soon as I open the terminal at the Obelisk.

What I've done so far:

• unticked "noTransferfromFiltering" in the ASA Dedicated Manager
• enable Multihome with manual IP address via ASA Dedicated Manager
• uninstalled and reinstalled all mods on my PC
• deactivated all mods on the server where I'm stuck (no one has played on the map yet, cluster is new)

Version 358.24 is pre aquatica (old ASE with all mods) and a lot of unofficial servers. 360.7 is the new aquatica dlc and maps and with limited mod access, due to engine issues, transfer issues, and a few official servers

My friend is running a dedicated server through Xbox app on PC on ASE (the server account owns the game as well). The problem is the dedicated server keeps becoming unjoinable after all players have left and after it’s been up for some amount of time . It won’t disconnect anyone while they’re playing but it can’t be accessed again until it’s reset . Does anyone have any insight to offer or things to try to prevent the server from timing out when everyone leaves? I have an issue where the tek engrams I learned are not retaining. I opened my inventory. There is a red 0 with the unlearned engram, I learn it, I close my inventory, reopen it, and see that the engram is unlearned again.

In that case, I think you don’t really have very many options. You can find phoenixes without a super heat by locating their ash piles (I think parasaurs sonar mode can detect them) and build a trap, but it won’t mean much without a superheat. Time between super heats can be very long. Might have to just keep waiting it out. 😢

Do you crash every time you’re leaving THAT cave and you’re stuck in it or just periodically crash during cave loads? If you’re stuck, you could try using commands to lower the strain on system performance like “prevviewmode”. This has helped me get out of stuck-in crashes.

if you are on console, it is not "fixable", it is a result of how mods have to be stored on console. major updates or ones that change how mod storage works require wiping them

Use more effective taming food. TBF at that level extra levels are undesirable. Better you level it so you can dictate where the points go. Wild Dino may get all points in food.

So, if it eats berries, it may prefer honey, cake, or crops. If it eats meat it will usually prefer mutton, prime 🍖, or prime fish. Optimally, you would use kibble made from eggs.

Bred them to get mutations in health and melee, i'd suggest watching some youtube videos on breeding and mutation stacking lol but the gist of it is you want to get a high level male and breed with females until you get a female with the same stats as the male.
Breed those 2 together until you get another male and a BUNCH of females.
You have two groups one male each and as many females as you can fit. one group for health mutations and one for melee mutations. When you have finished stacking you breed the stats together.

Keep breeding and you'll get mutations (extra 2 points in a stat per mutation)

Keep the mutations on the male and keep the females 'clean' rinse and repeat, swapping the male out with the new male (more mutations)

You only need at most like 3k stam. If you go over that, there’s no harm in more health. Won’t do much for the dragon cause of % damage but it’s useful for the other fights.

My friend is running a dedicated server through Xbox app on PC on ASE (the server account owns the game as well). The problem is the dedicated server keeps becoming unjoinable after all players have left and after it’s been up for some amount of time . It won’t disconnect anyone while they’re playing but it can’t be accessed again until it’s reset . Does anyone have any insight to offer or things to try to prevent the server from timing out when everyone leaves? Any help would be appreciated. 😢We’ve tried a lot of various fixes and have hosted dedi servers before without this particular issue.

My buddy who is hosting it doesn’t have a virtual machine built into into the host pc if that’s what you mean. Port forwarding has been proposed but he’s not able to try that yet.

Has anyone recently experienced significant spikes of Gathering Lag? On my ASA cluster, since about a week ago, I started experiencing gathering lag to the point I cannot eat a basilo with high-MD dino anymore or get disconnected due to timeout. Huge package loss on the connection to the server when gathering. I already tried re-installing the game, verifying the game on steam, using VPN to change the internet hops, mobile hotspot, wi-fi, ethernet, cleaned/updated AMD graphics drivers, reduced graphic settings, tracing the internet connection and to the server (showing package loss at the server for me when gathering, nowhere else so general internet connection is fine). Short of using a different computer I tried whatever I could think to find out what is wrong. Has anyone else recently experienced significant spikes of gathering lag for some players and knows how to fix it? 🙁 this has me stumped.

Ohhhhh! I was doing milestones since last week and did get to some new and intense tasks. That could indeed be a huge difference since the time before. Thank you for pointing that out! This also explains why I get more lag on the Mosa vs. on the Xip. I got 3 milestones active at the same time, one for 1.5m mounted XP, one for 1k kills, one for 250k mounted Mosa or similar XP. Seems when I combine all those by riding a Mosa, it basically guarantees disconnects.

254 is what I saws online too. I'm about to ask a similar question.. kinda. I know private servers/unofficial are different to official. Even if you change no base settings on an unofficial server I think there a quite a few things that are not as restricted. Although there are base caps to things, and then you can increase or decreasae those in server settings.

So my question is.. I'm breeding some Argies. I have them to 20 weight mutations, my friend is doing health. I wanted to do some more Weight though. I know if I use my +20 male, I am about -50% chance to get the next mutations as I can only get them on the other side from now on. BUT.. could I use my base male, breed that with my base females untill I get a +1 weight again. That with be a brand new mutation. Then I use that male to go for +2.. then that one to got for +3.. and so on. Then when I can't be bothered anymore.. breed that line with my previous line to get say +20 or +30 weight faster than the other way?

When I started editing mine I did have some issues with them resetting. I don’t really know how I fixed it but I remember I deleted all my single player save data for every map. Then I closed game, navigated to and edit’ed the game ini and game user settings. Saved. Then booted up ark. Chose a single player map and then it worked. Any changes I’ve made since then have saved

On the dodex app, select the creature and the level that you want to tame. Scroll to the bottom of the page there is a section called knockout. In this section there is a button “Edit Weapon” you can add modify and delete your weapons here. It will acrobatically adjust the number of arrows, darts, etc when you change the Dino and level after you have added your weapons.

any time you have temporary issues with nvidia software, remember that they once took about 6 hardware gens of GPUs to fix a bug that made them lock to undithered 7-bit color on nearly all common monitors at the time, that the user could fix in about a minute via windows, and caused urban legends that AMD cards had richer color somehow

Has anyone else had a ton of desync issues since the last patch? I keep getting apparently desynced with the server, and have to quit and rejoin cuz I can't do anything. When I do rejoin, I'm not in the same place I quit.

No. No special settings at all on the trough, but berries seem to be staying at full stacks, but raw meat isn't

I’ve never used fridges on carts, I only do the crop plots and meat bags directly

You're right on it being something buggy with the fridges. I have a few on there and it's pulling from some but not others. Is it some weird placement thing since fridges don't snap?

It pulled right from the bag of meat without issue. I'm guessing when you build the platform out to the sides you can't get too close to the edge or it gets glitchy

I'm guessing that's it. Since fridges don't snap to foundations it could be slightly off the edge and causing it to not take from it for some reason. It was nice being able to fill them from the ground, but I guess that's glitchy
