Hi everyone, I’m experiencing a major issue on ARK: Ultimate Survivor Edition (Android - Poco X7 Pro). My game crashes every time I press the “Save Game” button, no matter where I am on the map or what I’m doing. I’ve tried everything I can think of:
•Cleared cache
•Backed up and restored cloud saves
•Left render distance of possible buggy creatures
•Removed corpses and unused tames
•Tried saving in a safe zone like Herbivore Island

The game plays fine, but it immediately crashes when trying to manually save, and I don’t have admin mode either.

I suspect something in my world file is corrupted, maybe a bugged tame or structure, but I can’t narrow it down. Is anyone else dealing with this? Or are there any known fixes/workarounds? I’ve put hundreds of hours into this world, and I really don’t want to lose it. Any help would mean a lot.

My tribemate is having the same issue. I myself can see others players mods without having to download it. Even premium mods I can see without ever buying them. But my tribemate can't like you had mentioned sometimes for them it'll randomly work and show for them and other times it doesn't. We are both on Xbox X. And on PVE Official.. I started a template using the Template Hammer yesterday. After traveling between servers in our cluster to gather resources, I returned and used the Template Hammer again. All options appeared as if no template was currently active, yet I was still able to enter the old Templates Build Mode using the third option.

However, once inside Build Mode, the Complete option was missing.

Has anyone else encountered this issue and found a fix?

I read on Reddit that the admin cheat DestroyMyTarget can remove the template, but is there any workaround available to regular players without admin access?

this game was made for servers not singleplayer unfortunately. you will hit a limit and then it crashes, everytime without fail. thats why I just bought a server, i never crash, never lag I just can play, unfortunately that comes with a different set of problems like setting up the nitrado server (which is absolutely horrid) takes a few hours

its probably an invisible resource, try hitting it with a pickaxe or a hatchet and see if it gives you anything, I once chopped down an invisible tree so that might be the case

I personally haven’t tried it, but if thylas do bleed damage to the lava golem, it could work out well. And since they’re so fast and agile, you could try biting, running away, and let the bleed do the rest.

The health on the chainsaw goes down way fast. You end up needing something to carry it anyway. The real way to do it is set up a leashed beaver in a safe zone (or a few) and let it wonder with resource collection on. Then, you just go empty it when he’s full. You can be using your chainsaw in addition to.

Tested it: Pretty sure it doesn't turn back on after I close my inventory. Using an Ancient Zaldrir Dragon (modded), I flown around the highlands without opening my inventory after a re-log on the server I play on. I got average 50-60 with small lag spikes here and there yet they weren't much of an issue.

After I did open my inventory and close it, it immediately tanked, going down to 12-20 FPS and when staying still would be around 25-35 and very rarely 40-60+

it used to happen to me where it would get stuck off, you could try deleting your GameUserSettings.ini from your ark steam library folder, that fixed ALOT of stuff for me, just be sure to make a copy or take notes of any edits that you have added

my waypoint info was in there under mapmarkers, or something like that, so i copied those over to the new one, if you delete it with the game closed it will regenerate a fresh one when you launch it

Having two issues really.

First is that I can't see the "Ready to mate" prompt or the timer for the mating cooldown anymore.

Secondly I can't get my ceratosaurus to mate. Other tames are mating fine there but not the Ceras.
It's like 6 of them, all caught as wild babys.
At first they would start and then cancel before mating was done.
And then repeat that a few times.

Now they just won't.

• I found good hp and good melee and ok stam, cross bred them together,
• I have male and female exactly the same level
• I got a melee mutation on a female

• I now need to breed that 1 melee mutation female to my male to end up with the mutation on my male then...
• Use mutated male with original unmutated females
• if i get an additional melee mutation it would need to be on a male baby to matter? or can i stack it back to an unmutated male again?
• is it possible to roll the unmutated parent's melee stat then mutate that, so you end up with 1 melee mutation when you already had 1? or if i roll a melee mutation from here will it always be more than i had before?
• if i get an hp mutation, I need to put it on a different male and upgrade the hp and melee independently? or can i stack them both on the same dad?

dlss is selected for anti aliasing and frame gen, it could entirely depend on the system and if you play servers or single player, i strictly play single player so i'm sure that is also a reason for no fps drops

I finally filed a bug report for the Xbox issue

Delete the UserGameSettings.ini file. That's an outdated one. Deleting it and running the ark will bake a fresh one for UE5.5 and that gave me immediate fps boost and no lag spikes. I do get lag spikes but once or twice throughout an entire play through

Interesting, I had worse issues after the DLSS patch. I usually only run med/high in general and I find the fog excessive on Rag personally. Tried lowering graphics, tried turning dlss off, tried turning off frame gen, tried combining those, etc.

willing to bet there's more than one main issue at the core of it but that's probably why it's taking so long to fix. I'll just have to live vicariously through folks here and streamers until I can get a bison of my own

Yeah, because the client isn't designed to query every server every time. That would be really bad. Instead it queries a basically random subset each time. To find a specific server you need to search it.

That is a graphics texture setting on low tweak your graphics a bit to optimize it, and that will fix or at least improve that
