You could try using a pig for healing instead of venom until it reaches the stage where it will accept meat, never tried with drakes but works with dragons in the absence of milk

Yes I believe so, I usually use a light pet and ride a karkinos, you can pick up the alpha nameless in one claw and use the other to smash the normals, should keep them respawning

After a point they will stop dropping venom IME so you need to kill the alpha and let a new one take over

It's only a chance at a drop so not every nameless kill will give you venom

theres arguably not really a best, it depends what you want the dino for, some big dinos wont fit in caves for artifact hunting, some dinos are good at sieging player bases, some are just dps machines

I think I'd recommend a Thyla for most things, then? Theyre fast, have decent weight, and will hold their own against everything barring a Giga/Carcha.

Or just an argy, it's a decent combat mount and it's really hard to compete with the ability to fly.

different dinos for different ressources, doedi does stone, ankylo metal, therizino are really good for wood and solid in combat, rex or yuty chews through enemies for meat/hide , stego or iguanodon can do berries early for narcs for you

Oh also, Moschops! Theyre really good at harvesting a lot of different resources, and you can tame them pretty early on. Theyre not the best combat mount, but they can defend themselves from the small things.

If you have or use mods on your server, just uninstall & reinstall them & your inventories should be visible again. I'm on xbox & had this issue & when I reinstalled my mods, it fixed it. Hope this helps?

guys i have an issue where i load into a server and i start off progress, i log off and when i hop back on it loads into a black screen or just crashes, i have tried uninstalling ark itself and uninstalling the mods in the server, ive tried verifying game files and basically everything else and nothing is resolved, my only solution is to transfer as a new character and override my current character in that specific server

I’ve been having an issue with pulling creatures out of the Ob aka Downloading creatures, a lot of the time the creature I first pull out has no stats but the same level. It’ll say for example level 164 but when I look at the creature all its stats are base level. I used the Tek binoculars and it said zero on all stats. Anyone else having that issue?

If it is not software, it can be your ram, if you have more than one stick test them separately, and in different slots of your mobo. You can also run mdsched which is the windows diagnostic tool for ram. Keep in mind this test can take a while .

You complete them vertically not horizontally. If you didn't know but you probably did. Also it's probably a visual glitch and Dollie mentioned it either day 1 or day 2 of Rag dropping.

Try using a TP/bed or pulling your implant and respawning to see if it fixes. Or relogging.

I'm running the ASA dedicated server on Ubuntu using Proton GE, CPU usage is constantly at 100%. Is there anything I could change to try to fix it?

There are occasionally random lag spikes that are really bad and cause rubber banding, timers even rubber band. The server has a Ryzen 7 7700X and 24 GB of RAM allocated, startup takes 10-15 minutes plus lag time.

I haven't tweaked Proton, but I did add gamemoderun

I run an unofficial Nitrado server with transfers open. I cannot download some dinos on Ragnarok. No error message. The dino name just goes to the bottom of transmitter dino list.

Dinos that can't download that I have tried: Velonsaur, Gacha, Aberrant Oviraptor, Rhyniognathia, Snow Owl, Dreadnaught, Tek Parasaur, Bulbdog

Just to test I set "CrossARKAllowForeignDinoDownloads=True" and restarted the server, but it did not change the behavior.

Does anyone have any ideas? I submitted a bug report a few days ago, but haven't seen anyone else complain about the problem.

Behavior: On Herbivore Island. RAM Usage is relatively low, CPU and GPU usage normal. After exactly 7 minutes in-world, as measured by stopwatch repeatedly, the game freezes and crashes to desktop.

Hey, I have a question about my non-dedicated server on my ps5. I downloaded club ark after playing on this world for about 40ish hours. The description of club ark on the download mod page from wildcard says it should be accessible from the in game menu, but in the game I don’t see it. Does anyone else have de-sync issues? Almost hourly I have the issue that the client and server de-sync and the client thinks I am somewhere else, I have a 2nd account on a laptop and I see myself in a completely different place, on the client I can not open doors, mount or anything, just run around. No Ragnarok is not an official ark map so you can't unlock story engrams you will have to go to a story map to learn the engrams

okay so um hi big huge problem with Ragnarök map (not sure if this is the same for anyone else but its happened to my mates too), around Viking bay aera where the waterfalls and rivers are the game freezes completely for at least 10 to 15 seconds, then when you try to get back onto the map it will act like its loading in so when i say it acts like your loading in you get the loading screen and then it'll try and pull you into the map makes whatever noise is going on for a split second then it will throw you out the game completely. and it will do it continuously so your basically not able to access the game full stop. the only fix me and my friends have found is IF you know your coordinates they can come and unalive you so you can respawn. but if you don't know your coordinates you're a bit naffed and cant get on at all....is there a better fix or not? sorry for the essay hope it makes sense. help is most appreciated thank you. x

Every time Im trying to enter an un-off srever I spawn without my loot, without any structures or dinos, and after 10-20 seconds Im kicked with '"timeout error"

Yes the egg I hatched from wild wyverns will not accept imprint. The message says "wants care from !" Will not do anything and there's no imprint bar when looking inside the inventory. From what I hear on the server it's working fine when the egg is bred from your own wyverns

I’ve been having an issue with pulling creatures out of the Ark aka Downloading creatures, a lot of the time the creature I first pull out has no stats but the same level. It’ll say for example level 164 but when I look at the creature all its stats are base level. I used the Tek binoculars and it said zero on all stats. So some creatures are restricted - particularly if trying to take to Aberration you can't have fliers or some other things that don't spawn there. If it's all creatures then it's likely they have downloads disabled

That’s the thing I own the server. and once we summon one of the Dino’s from the other Map in we can pull out as many dino from the ark as we want of that one kind
For example: rag map doesn’t have any gigantoraptor and the Ark won’t let us download one. But if I cheat summon one in tamed it will let me download gigantorapors unless all the ones we download die then I have to summon a new one in. Another example is rag doesn’t have ravagers but for some reason it’ll let me take that out and download it even though it’s not in the map. So it works for ravagers but not anything else and I am allowed to take out any dino from the Ark if it is from the map.

Rexes should be enough I would say. But I think you need a gas mask to prevent getting knocked out by the manticore attacks. It was so easy to kill it I defeated it only seeing shadows. Because my game was glitched with the stupid bug that makes everything including yourself invisible.

Hey I’ve had a problem with trees on top of the north mountain plateaus on rag ( north of the castle) I can see them and yet I can’t destroy them and some are just plain ghosts like I can walk through them and everything but they are there visually anyone else having this problem? @carmine lance I haven’t been able to play Ragnorak a single damn time because apparently it was REQUIRED I downloaded the center as well, but every time I tried downloading the center it would always say “an error has occured”. After many attempts and finally finding a way around that, I got the center downloaded, BUT NOW I can’t even open up the game. Now when I try and open up the game, it just says “Can’t start the game or app”. Is there a way to fix this or am I just shit out of luck and just wasted over 100$ on this game

Tried playing Ragnorak, it said I needed to download the center before i was able to play, couldn’t download the center until I found a work-around, tried playing Ragnorak again, game crashed on the loading screen and now whenever I try playing Ark it just says “unable to open the game or app”
