Guys, i really need help with one big trouble. So trouble itself that i have played on my extinction local game (on steam) for a long period of time and i saw only 1 giga, which despawned after time. I`ve tried many solutions: i did dino wipe 3 times, i did spawn clear around the giga spawn area, even added a stroke in the game.ini file, but i still havent seen any single giga on my map. Also i want to mention that i had an xbox local game file on extinction too, and i saw a giga there, saw a giga which didnt wanted to despawn. So i want your help, hope you can provide a solution how to do natural giga spawn on my local file, is it a bug or just chances? Hope somebody will help me with this.
Btw i wanna add a small detail: my gene scanner is broken and dont want to search for dinos all around the map, so i cant be really sure if a single giga even exists on my game

We just swapped to extinction and I cannot load into the server whatsoever. Even going to the server and just trying to create a new character instead of downloading my current one.

Reaching out in hopes that maybe someone has come upon this problem and has proposed solutions in ASA. So this has happened in the past to varying degrees: the furry (and some feathers, i.e. argentavis) animals do not render properly and show polygonal. I've read much about increasing view distance, increasing textures - neither change anything, except dire bears render at high distance. Nothing else does. I've tried R.streaming.poolsize 0 and this does fix it, but it makes framerate horrendous. Unplayable. I've had this in the past on ASA and it went away, now its back. I have good specs, and am unsure what else to try. Looking for suggestions!

Guys, i really need help with one big trouble. So trouble itself that i have played on my extinction local game (on steam) for a long period of time and i saw only 1 giga, which despawned after time. I`ve tried many solutions: i did dino wipe 3 times, i did spawn clear around the giga spawn area, even added a stroke in the game.ini file, but i still havent seen any single giga on my map. Also i want to mention that i had an xbox local game file on extinction too, and i saw a giga there, saw a giga which didnt wanted to despawn. So i want your help, hope you can provide a solution how to do natural giga spawn on my local file, is it a bug or just chances? Hope somebody will help me with this.
Btw i wanna add a small detail: my gene scanner is broken and dont want to search for dinos all around the map, so i cant be really sure if a single giga even exists on my game

Just chances, they are rare. Keep an eye in the snow biome border where they usually spawn, may take a while in between killing stuff, or doing dino wipes.

I took my tapejara and 2 pteros for a resource haul but when my mount's stam ran out while in high altitudes I decided to try to hop off and fall into the tapejara to switch midair but fell down
then I logged off and on to negate the fall damage but now one of the pteros and the tapejara are nowhere to be seen and the second ptero is somehow at the base where I last left it

Does anyone know of an issue with the Wild King Titan on the map? We had one spawn in, and he is in sitting position in the same spot (over near the oil lake). We tried to kill him, and he doesn't fight back, but when we get him to half health, he stops taking damage and starts healing. Individual apps, such as ark, don't have their own blue screen. It can happen using an app, and usually the PC will restart or shutdown after showing a blue screen with a :(.

If that is what is happening, then it is an issue with your PC, which could be software or hardware. Typically, blue screens have a message or error code I think, been years since I've seen one. If you have the error code, it is easier to try to determine the issue, but it won't be related to ark specifically.

Ark could simply be pushing your PC in a way that affects the issue it already had.

When it gets to a certain weight it'll stop attacking by itself. Putting metal on the argy reduced the weight, but the anky does the same thing for metal but even better. So what I do is I just carry the anky, drop it on metal, get on the anky and start swinging

You can find a few things to try if you do a google search but this appears to be another problem that needs to be addressed. Could be worse, my character disappeared the first day of extinction and it's a tribe owner on another server, and then I got the battleye issue. Guys, i really need help with one big trouble. So trouble itself that i have played on my extinction local game (on steam) on extinction map for a long period of time and i saw only 1 giga, which despawned after time. I`ve tried many solutions: i did dino wipe 3 times, i did spawn clear around the giga spawn area, even added a stroke in the game.ini file, but i still havent seen any single giga on my map. Also i want to mention that i had an xbox local game file on extinction too, and i saw a giga there, saw a giga which didnt wanted to despawn. So i want your help, hope you can provide a solution how to do natural giga spawn on my local file, is it a bug or just chances? Hope somebody will help me with this.
Btw i wanna add a small detail: my gene scanner is broken and dont want to search for dinos all around the map, so i cant be really sure if a single giga even exists on my game

that is a common cause of crashes, but not the only possible one. your best bet is to not use cosmetic mods, avoid busy/heavily built servers (or avoid official entirely, ideally), and try to stick to smaller maps (island/SE are pretty safe). playing online does use less memory than singleplayer, at least until people start spamming stuff

on a PC client or server you can add the launch arg -ForceRespawnDinos to avoid either issue ever occurring, also solves progressive overspawns

a lot of people have reported giga underspawns on ext, probably going to be patched. and the gene scanner technically does work, but singleplayer simply despawns dinos that are outside of your local area, and also wont spawn stuff outside that area to begin with.. so there is nothing to detect. if you are on PC with 32GB+ RAM, you can launch the game with -preventhibernation to disable the despawning behavior, but iirc it wont make them spawn faster

If the caves are taken on your official server, breeding will be somewhat more complicated because you are at the expense of an attack at any time. However, it can be an advantage.

That happens all of the time to me. I play on a unofficial cluster on my ps5 and after every server update the listing isn't favorited or in my last played. Rest assured, it DOESN'T effect your save or game progress.

self-host on ASE for xbox/PC xbox goes through the console/PC client and can't make actual clusters. since its only 1 map you can upload and download dinos/items but survivors take a bit. they require a forced upload like ascensions or the command. or manually move the survivor data over.

I have a cluster and that worked for me. As soon as I saw the update was up to long I restarted the server let it go from update to server restarting and it worked itself out. I'm sorry that's not working for you

Unofficial- not on Nitrado. Servers are on premises with owner. They have all gone into a restart for update loop and have restarted like 20 times already trying to update. Im assuming there was another Ghost patch?

anything that already has spawn variants like alpha or tek reacts weirdly with other spawn replacements that are a child class (derived variant) of the original. like the game will cheerfully take your tek rex override and split it back 95-5 into normal rex and tek rex

On Evolved? No. Mods for Evolved are only available through the steam workshop and the steam version. The windows version is just xbox.

On Ascended, all mods are through the ingame mod menu, mods that are crossplay will work with steam and windows.
