the graphics card lets things down a bit, the 4060 was a weak card in nVidia's line up

4070 was far superior. The 4060 wasn't a big jump over the 3060

but you could also look at AMD options. Ryzen 7800x3d CPU, Radeon 7800 XT or Radeon 7900 GRE GPUs would also be good options

there's two main graphics processing unit manufacturers (ignoring Intel for now)

nVidia make the 40x0 series and AMD have the Radeon range

my last graphics card was an nVidia 3060 Ti which was OK for running Ark on a 1080 (full HD) resolution screen if I turned some settings down a bit.

I upgraded to a Radeon 7800 XT which can run Ark with everything maxed out at 1080 at between 40 and 60 fps, although I turn a few things down to get my frame rate a bit higher

the rough nvidia equivalent to the graphics card I have would be the nVidia 4070 range, probably a Ti or Super

So question, I see that the last update raised the player character to 175 but I'm at 135 with overseer and manticore done. Along with chibi max level and scorched earth notes collected. I have not received any xp since abb was dropped. I looked everytime beofre i kill something. I done this on all the maps and no xp received. I've been playing ASA on my series X and I've been having issues with resources not respawning. I'm on single player and all resources respawned without issue at the start but now they don't. Set respawn time to 0.2 and so far nothing has respawned. Any help would be apricated.

With the custom cosmetics, I know about the eyeball menu in the inventory screen, but when I click on that it will go to the CC menu but there is nothing on the left side as well as nothing on the right side to select, it is all just blank. I went ahead and uninstalled and reinstalled all the CC mods I have and they work just fine on Single Player but still not on the Unofficial maps I play on. Why is the aim in this game so obnoxious with thumbstick? I have no trouble in other games yet this one is clunky as hecc. The aim assist is insane when on but it hinders more than helps at time when you want to aim at the head or something.

Question: What is the difference between single player and an unoficial server gameplay wise? Like im tired and just want to have my own worlds i can play on without having to worry about them going away. Ive spent like 8 months in this one server but its dead and the host doesnt want to even play anymore, much less pay for the server. oh, for the question of gameplay.
almost everything is the same. except console SP not getting as many settings (since you can't edit ini) and some performance related things like hibernation(things pause when you leave the area, everything pauses when you leave the game), some ranges like mating are smaller (think this is still in ASA), and you can't make a backup of your save.
not being able to make a backup is the biggest difference to me

Hey, so I've been playing ark for a while, but for some reason I've never actually reset mutations before. Currently I'm trying to do this with my stegos. I have a female stego with 48/20 mutations on the matrilneal side and 0/20 on the patrilneal side. Then I tame a wild male with 0/20 mutations on both sides obviously. I think what I'm trying to figure out is if I'm on the right track. I have 7k health on the mutated stego and 2k on the wild stego. If I got another mutation in health would I have a chance of it going on top of the 7k health or would it go on top of the 2k? Does anyone know if I'm on the right track?

sounds like a major desync issue between your client and the server you are playing on.

I would have the same issue if my game crashed and I loaded back in. All the rocks/trees/plants would "respawn" inside foundations/walls/gates, etc. and wouldn't disappear until the client caught up to the server.

WEll, I figured out a way around the XP level 165 lock out for single player. I leveled with the single player settings up to 165, turned the single player off, farmed the remaining XP that was missing, then turned single player settings back on, which granted me the missing ten levels I was wanting

Just like you can use a higher kibble for imprint. Works with taming too. Just because it calls for say superior. You can use higher tier kibble to tame.

Can someone explain something about breeding for me please. If i tame a dino and pump a load of levels into it BEFORE i start breeding. Do the eggs go off the levels at the time of breeding or the base stats just from when i tamed it?

player inputted levels don't count for breeding. its just the wild levels, TE bonus levels, and mutations.

Hello, we have the problem that the save file from our TC server is getting bigger and bigger. It now takes 10 minutes to load. We have now found out that it is due to the overspawning of the dinosaurs. There are over 100 Megalosaurus on the flying island alone, over 12K Araneo on the map. WildDinoKill is useless, the file gets even bigger and the dinosaurs spawn again. Does anyone have an idea how I can repair the save game?

We only deactivated the Titano. Dino count at 1. Nothing else in the ini. The dinowipe works, but the dinos are back in large numbers after a while. At first I thought it was only when I restarted, but I made a kill earlier and when I looked 2 hours later everything was full of megalosaurs again

cheat destroywilddinos kills the dinos but lets just as many respawn, so it doesn't help. Start parameters are set, but that doesn't help either because everything respawns. No mods installed!!

kk , not had any issues on centre however havent run that map much.
those are cave spawns id think an asa has some pretty janky cave spawns on other maps for unofficial servers
i had to rewrite the the underwater cave spawns on the island to stop the meg overspawns
ab surface has crazy amounts reapers(havent dealt with that yet as im not playing it atm)
might worth asking in the nitrado discord see if others have the issue

So lets round it up to 8 meters, there's a very small gap where they need to go or shoot up to damage my turrets or even be shot by them, these guys shot rockets to the wall which I just placed a rally point at and I am at the exact position my turrets were and it was 9 meters, a couple of them were even further away so it seems like its much larger area than just 8 meters

Hi I recently downloaded ark survival evolved for the first time in awhile, I played it for about 2 days but today I loaded up and got an error every time I loaded up my save on the island, in the loading screen it gave me an error that has something todo with lost islands but I have never downloaded the DLC, I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the game, repairing the game library, downloading and uninstalling the DLC but no fix anyone know how to fix this.

Aberration problem. Is the huge perfectly flat area above portal (42.5 23.5) buildable for anyone? For me only the very first part is.
