I don't see how people are doing Center bosses with Pyros. They only have 60 armor.

I did Gamma last week with all pyros and 1 megatherium that I rode. My megatherium got shredded in seconds by the monkey. Brood wasn't even attacking me or the pyros. Luckily I was able to run away and let my pyros just do the fight while I watched on the megatherium and I beat it. But my question is why does my megatherium take so much damage with a 124 saddle and the pyros don't take that much damage and only have 60 armor which is a whopping 50% less armor than my megatherium.

Hey sorry if this is the wrong channel for this any tech savies know why my ark ASA graphics look DOG AWFUL. Things like rocks and terrain, as well as creatures using far away LODs up close. Originally I was told that the reason was because my graphics card wasnt good enough to run all the mods I had (apparently my card doesnt have enough VRAM??) so I uninstalled ever single mod and it still looks awful and I'm not sure what to do other than reinstall it for the fourth time.

It also can power all your forges with meat it eats. As well as cooking meats automatically like a Pheonix does.

The only thing it doesn't do is hold artifacts like an otter. Otherwise it is instant win for most bossfights, caves and a lot of pvp (from what I've heard).

Yes, it is a kind of sickness that Wildcard went and added the creature to the base game and forced you to deal with it on Scorched Earth and the Center, probably all the other maps eventually.

In ASE, ive been having a weird graphic bug for a couple of weeks.. only in singleplayer also when hosting non dedicated server and joining one of those. i dont know how to describe the bug but i can easily reproduce it as it just takes like 3 minutes of playing the game until it appears again. i have tried turning settings down, updating graphic drivers.. everything has not worked and i've never seen anyone get this. only ase and only in singleplayer-ish worlds. feel free to DM me i will screenshare the bug.

Run gamma brood with a decent imprinted megatherium and good saddle.

Do this solo on ONE tame. The little.spiders is where all the XP is.

Don't beat the boss super quick, run it as long as possible before killing here for maximum XP from the spiders.

Take some broth of enlightenments for 50% XP boost. Don't forget to poo on the toilet for a 30% xp boost also.

If haven't got all the notes yet, grab some those also. Especially the 4x , stack it on a 2x for 8x. On top of 2x weekend for 16x. Plus the broth for 24x total. 😉

But a primitive bed can last past 4 days as long as it is in a locked room. so metal will work for 16 days with a prim bed, so long as people cannot reach to demolish the bed (so a small 1x1 room in middle of base). @elder dock

A megaT with 19k health and 700 melee is fine to farm XP from ganja brood. You can also bring in an opposite sex megaT for mate boost.
Use Tek binocs to gauge how fast you are taking down the spider health.
Ideally you have a second person in who sits and tanks brood mother while you are killing baby spiders.
With 2x weekend and broth of enlightenment, it is around 40 brood gamma runs to get enough XP to reach level 155 from 135.

And max the time, killing brood in the last 30 seconds of the 18 minute fight.
Had 2 tribe mates do the above to get toons to level 155

I have a breeding pair that have identical stats. They have 34 points in health, 25 stam, 25 weight, 35 melee, 30 ox, 19 food. Are these good enough for a line or should I look to improve them. My wife and I are running into a problem in ASA where our PC (game pass) can't join the Xbox (game pass) non-dedicated server but our Xbox is able to join the PC if it hosts the non-dedicated server. I just replied to you in the other channel you posted in. My 2cts: wait until you fix your PC. I play on a laptop with an RTX 3070 and AMD Ryzen 7 6800hz. On 1080p I can barely get 30fps on low-medium settings. Becomes even lower during sunrise/sunset or in the jungle when there are lots of trees. Game is just too hitchy to play well, in my opinion. I am sticking with ASE until I build my new PC next year. Obviously personal preference, but this would be my advise.

If you mean to re spec your toon with more or less points in different stats (more weight, less stamina etc) you can make a mind wipe which turns your character back to level 1, you unlearn all engrams (not Tek engrams). You get to add all your levels back and can rechoose where to put the points for health, weight etc

in singleplayer, you can go to an obelisk and click the center button to upload then exit, switch maps, download survivor.
everything you have will be dropped so upload what you want to bring in ark data (its called inventory now In ASA) (dinos should be uploaded as cryopods, or whatever modded one you use)

extinction doesn't use obelisks, it has city terminals. gen1/2 also don't have them, they have mission terminals.

those are both weird and vague enough issues that i cant make a confident guess as to a cause. they could be related, and both suggest something is really broken with your windows install or drivers/other lower-level software in it

could be a hardware issue indirectly. i have seen similar problems in the past from failing GPUs and oddly, storage controllers, but not common at all

there is not much to do except diagnostics and testing to try and rule out various things

Hello, i'm restarting an adventure on ark ascended with my girlfriend. We have less time for play time and i'm scared we will encounter a server wipe before reaching endgame if i go on multi player. Hosting a server on nitrado can be expensive and playing on non dedicated with the tether distance can be disturbing. Does the game provide any other way to host a server? I'm scared if i host it on my computer i will not be abble to run the game correctly

Is he definitely trying to place it in the oasis inventory? You have be pretty much standing in their little pond on top of them to access it. You can't access their general inventory until tamed. Also I've noticed that you can only access the oasis if they have resources on their back, if the oasisaurs back is bald then they aren't tameable until it has grown some more resources.

The floating structures in pvp they are referring to creates an unfair advantage to how/where bases are/suppose to be. Small example would be a platform floating at world border over the ocean.

I've got Rexes that are at 12.9K health and 403% Melee after imprinting and no saddle blueprints so I'll be going with primitives.
I'm assuming they can be used to fight gamma Megapithecus and Broodmother after some leveling but can they be used against the Dragon or even something like beta Megapithecus?

20K health rex and 500 melee will be fine for gamma broodmother, monkey (with a yuti boost). Maybe 15K health. I would not use rex for dragon, any level - dragon flame does % damage to meat eaters. No suggest if going solo for that (I haven't done it solo - I know people that do - with melee build, multiple armor, good sword, sheilds, stam brews, med brews and they hack it). Could use a deer (male deer megaloceros) with high health and vegecakes. Therri are also a good choice for dragon.
Multiple people is how I've done dragon - all levels - with shotguns - if the dragon is slow to land (or doesn't land, whcih doesn't happen often now) you can still kill it with shotguns.

beta monkey a full rex team of 15-20K health and 500+ melee should be fine - all with prim saddles (we did center beta which is both broodmother and monkey at one time, with 20K health rex with a yuti buff and prim saddles) - we used 2 megaT to destroy broodmother while rex were killing monkey

definately want a yuti for your boss fights though!

You have to ascend from tek cave/ defeat overseer

yes, my server has had random stuff disappear including dinos. I think it's corruption in the save files. Either it loses who owns it and it goes to 50,50 on the map and despawns or it just disappears

Absolutely not. Not only does Microsoft not support mods, but 3rd party apps such as that are against ToS. Steam is the only supported platform with mods for ASE.

not all games on the store are the same. they aren't even all in the same place. some are "modifiable", some are just in the xbox games folder, some you have to go into packages or whatever and those ones are usually locked.

just looks like the standard crash when you have a cloud issue.

the padlock isn't related. all ASE windows versions will have that. I'm pretty sure you can also remove it by changing ownership or permissions.

you don't need to change the files anyway. only game.ini and gameusersettings.ini are gonna do anything.

There's not much returned via Google but I have seen people bring this up with Forglar too (so I don't think it's necessarily map specific)
I have an RTX 4090 and I've done everything I can think of including lowering my res to 1440 and graphics setting to low but I still crash every 1-2 minutes. Any ideas on how I could solve this? Sucks to pay $10 for a map and then not be able to play it :/
