Does anyone know for sure if the quality of blueprints is random or depends on the type of drop? So if Source A and Source B can contain Pump BP‘s, can Source A giver higher BP‘s? For example Lava golem cave red drops vs deep sea loot crates?

When can we please get incubators? I have had my giga eggs (50hours on the ground) now several times stolen. First time I was dragged into the river and drowned with my tribe mate, while all my eggs where taken. The sever blamed me for using windows and having an access point into my base. I guess PVE is NOT safe, so I re-built a safe space with no windows behind two doors and double thick walls/floor. They still stole my eggs with an Oviraptor.

oviraptors with high melee % collecting eggs and have a very large wall.

all my eggs i hatch in a hatchery room doors locked no windows
gestation timer on to be there at birth.
most dinos confined to rooms that are my normal breeding while a rather large wall preventing people building near my base.

oviraptors with 400%+ melee have a good 20 foundation range but i have found the higher the better even seems to increase speed it picks them up

The oviraptor is great, i use it too. But throwing eggs on the ground for days is the worst. I have to yet re-build and config my base to make sure I have a box 40 by 40 to keep people from stealing eggs. Or just put back incubators into the game.

It's a side effect of the TAA that Unreal 5 uses I believe, it's quite common in Unreal 5 engine based games. TAA is trash.

TAA basically works by sort of mixing the information from your previous frames and the current one it's rendering to try and smooth out edges of things. It never really looks that good, but it has a minimal performance hit so it's become quite popular. But because it's reliant on frames to do what it does, low framerates make it look even worse

I’m new to are breeding and I have just started breeding a megatherium line, I know the basic of it and how stack/reset mutations but I’m missing a few things. The first megatherium I just hatched has had a melee mutation, now I am going to use him to hopefully get 20/20 mutations in melee however if his line gets a health mutation which is a stat I also want, should I continue to breed his line to get both health and melee mutation or should I just keep breeding the 2 original megatheriums until I get a health mutation megatherium then later down the line add the 20/20 health and 20/20 melee mutation dinos together. I hope that made sense 😂😂

Keep them separate. 20 health 0 anything else. 20 Melee 0 anything else. Then breed the 20 and 20 together to get a male with 40 then put that male back with the clean females to carry on mutating, albeit with lower odds.

We get slightly over the swamp area while flying towards carnivore island and down she goes. Is anyone else experiencing similar issues? Hello, me and one of my friends want to play on a non-dedicated server on ASA on ps5 and we want to change the distance between the host and the other players, so we tried to change it to make it larger, but when he launch his non-dedicated server and I join him the distance won't change at all, where I begin to be dragged back at my friend when I reach 180 meters of distance, even if we put the maximum range or a complete custom one in the settings.
So I'm certainly sure that it's a bug, but if it's isn't what we need to do ?

So I’m using the super cryo storage mod. I got to the blue obelisk and my game crashed as it does sometimes. Go to re gather my spinos I’ve bred, levelled and made good saddles for. They’re gone. My yuti was in the same terminal as them and I have it but I don’t know what the hell happened to my spinos. Really mad about this since they took so long to get finished. I don’t know what to do. Im on ps5. All of my other dinos in storage are unaffected but my spinos for bosses are gone. I don’t even know how to go back to a previous save on console. So question, im currently trying to make an elevator in my base. Im using a large elevator and have made a perfect hole for it with the edges of the hole being made out of quarter ceilings and walls as the building itself is an even number of foundations wide. When i place the elevator from the top, its fits perfectly and goes all the way down but when coming back up, it stops about a quarter ceilings width below the rim and refuses to go higher.

Does anyone know of a workaround? I am not willing to make the building even size and id prefer the elevator to be centered if possible. It almost feels luke wildcard forgot to adjust the elevators for the quarter ceilings. Almost like elevators consider quarter ceilings to be full ceilings and are therefore in the way

The game randomly crashes with no apparent cause for some missing shader, and then I won't be able to load into a server without immediately crashing again until the problem randomly fixes itself. I can play for hours just fine with no issues, and then randomly get stuck in this crash loop. Note that the game opens up just fine after the first crash, it just crashes again when I try to join a server/singeplayer world and keeps doing this for a random amount of time until the problem magically goes away and the game runs fine again. Restarting my computer doesn't help this.

theres various things causing crashing atm, varies from computer to computer ,
try these things one at a time and test to see if it helps
rtx stuff on is a common one(dlss,framegeneration etc), so turn it all off
disablemenutransition setting, turn it on, is off by default
disable hlod setting, turn it on
foilage interaction setting, turn off (can cause little floating rocks though 😦 )

@cunning fiber once you hit 20/20 you can no longer inbreed for mutations, one lineal side needs to have less than 20 so you keep the mutations on a male and breed it with females that are less than 18 mutations gicing you a 50 50 chance at aquiring the stat from the male while also needing the females side to get the mutation, and then you breed your new male with the females again to repeat

so once you get to 20/20 on a male would you breed it with an un mutated female so they all stack on one side?

The females dont have to be unmuted, they can have 18 mutations or less

When u are not at 20 on both male and female side, both parents have a chance at mutating so mutations happen at twice the rate, once one side caps, the rate of mutations is halved because only 1 side had a chance to mutate, once both sides cap, 0 chance of mutations

Its mathematically much more efficient to keep the mutations stacked on the male side (male breeder) and breed it with 100 females that have the chance of mutating, as opposed to vise versa.

Some say the less mutations a parent has the higher chance it has to mutate, so a totally clean female has a better chance to mutate than a female with 18, but i have not experienced that to matter in my many years of ark.

The mutations can be stacked all on 1 side (generally a male) basically as high as you want, as long as 1 side (generally female) is not capped out.

Then you also have to hope for a male

If u get a female you have to breed in a clean or unclean manner untill you get a male with that stat

A male breeder that has 100 mutations on fathers side, and 100 mutations on mothers side, can breed with a cleaner female and mutate and the baby would have 200 mutations on the male side, and lets say 2 mutations on the femalea side because the female was clean.

Im not quite adept in the world of bobplayer and bobsettings, but a bob must seek a balance between what he can bobspawn and what he can bobtain. A setting increase in bobponry max capacity combined with the correct bobprint may solve your boblema.

Or use bobmin console commands to bobtame the dino.

No just tested it and it works fine, you need to have supplied the admin password tho. Don't have rcon enabled so dunno about that.

My friend and I were playing ark when we ran into a problem, a huge FPS drop. We created a non-dedicated server, at first it was at 144 FPS and I was at 50, I changed the graphics settings and it didn't solve anything, but in an unexpected way, I went from 50 to 100 FPS and my friend ended up having a crash from 144 to 50 FPS. We don't know what caused this.

When I decided to create a non-dedicated server, it was dropping at 25 fps

Is anyone else having an issue with whistles? For example my argent is set to passive and when I whistle neutral/attack my target/ yada yada, the argent stays passive. The argent isn't set to ignore group whistles, none of the dinos respond to any of my stance changing whistles and I cant figure out why. I've restarted my game but that didnt help.

hey people, im having a bit of an issue that I was wondering if anyone could solve, Ive installed a selection of ark additions creatures and played for about 10 hours without seeing a single one, I attempted commands like getallstatus but they werent recognised, I then just cheat flew around looking and found absolutely nothing except for some reason a single xiphactinus, all the saddles and additional items are craftable (ASA not ASE btw)

clear download cache in steam settings. it will log you out. log back in and it should fix it

i usually walk away for a bit when my pc does that. if it's still at 2% i'll clear download cache and that usually helps
