Since the update my guild has noticed the render distance on Dino’s has become incredibly short. Like 20’. This is far too small to be playable. For instance, we were following a quetzal and 15’ away it vanishes. Or, boom, titanosaur in your face 10 feet away. PC version. And distance is set to Epic in game settings.

There’s a mod “Ez Unlocks” that’ll unlock all engrams for you on level up, even modded ones, and won’t do Tek. I find that to be the best one.

I was literally just complaining about this. I keep transferring my entire inventory to dinos, drops...etc instead of the other way around. It seems you now have to move the dumb cursor over to the other page EXACTLY where the items are (not below or above) then press L1. It's slow and tedious.

I'm not a big fan of all the additional buttons and steps added for the console for what genuinely seems like no reason. It's taking me longer to do basic things than it did on ASE

Turn of Light bloom and Light shafts in video options, it should be better. You can also use gamma commands from console, type "gamma 1" for lowest brightness, or bigger number for to be able to see in the dark

I've tried adjusting the difficulty... but when I do that, I get reset to a new human and it seems to wipe all of my progress. Same thing happens when I attempt to add a mod. it eat the 50 pearl instantly.

I recommend sending ahead another tame to deal with them or to shoot them before they have a chance to hit you with their armor breaking spit. The best way to do it, that I have found anyways, is a pack of direwolves so you can send the group ahead to deal with them and the spit will just hit the wolves and do small dmg

The thing is I don't think there's any connection issue, I can connect to other servers and all my friends can still connect to that server. I have already tried a full reinstall and removing my saved files and removing steam cloud saves.

Hey, are you still having this issue ? I see that you have the game on steam according to your role, here's what I did. I could not stop getting this issue, couldn't get into ANY server at all and I did not know why. I went as far as to purchase a 30 day subscription for GeForce Now to access a remote high end computer to sign in from my acc there and play but EVEN THERE I still got the issue. So what I did in the end, was connect my other steam account to my main account's game library via family sharing and through there I was able to load into any ark server from my alt account. Very strange, but I concluded that the issues was not a network one, but one tied to my main wildcard account as if it was stuck in some limbo state of connectivity. Fortunately, I was able to play on my main account today. So what I suggest, is that you try to see if you can connect on an alt account and if that works, wait a few days and you should be able to play on your main. Else open a ticket (though i had and didn't recieve any help).

Also, I had an admin on my unnofficial server rename my tribe profile's ID to my alts and I could keep continue playing on my survivor. Just type in whoami in singlepalyer on your main and alt to get your ID's so the admin can find yours and swap it.

Step 2: player 2 joins player 1 via the 'join option in the main menu'
Step 3: go to the 'non dedicated sessions tab'
Step 4: search for the name player 1 gave the non dedicated server
Step 5: join and have fun

Hey all, playing on Ps5 my single player just corrupted due to a crash and now it’s booted me from my tribe in my single player world. So I’ve lost everything. This is the second time it’s happened, I’ve tried using admin commands to put myself back into the tribe but it won’t work. I did, the solution was to relaunch the game several times until it works. My computer is brand new so it's not so painful but if you have a slower computer it will be a bit painful loading in and out

first, kill a male rhynio, collect the pheramone. next, find a female rhynio, level doesnt matter if you just want one. apply pheramone to a large tame, i think its trike or bigger. damage female to 10% of hp, then she lay egg on tame. feed tame while it dies. once it dies, baby rhynio pops out

If you are on any server that continuously runs, all your dinos will passively gain a small amount of XP over time. It's been like this for ages, but it's a negligible amount if your dinos have a few levels put into them already. If you want a good way to level up your dinos fast, use them to kill babies you don't want while breeding.

If you want it to only feed the dinos in the list, I think you want the Include type. I forget the exact wording it uses, but it's the same principle for setting up turret targetting lists

Yes, so by default, the list is disabled, so will feed everything. If you set it to Include, it will then only feed creatures you choose to add to the list, if you set it to Exclude, it will feed everything that isn't on the list.

Most useful I think if you want a fish trough, since it's less food value and carnivores will eat it sooner than waiting for meat. So having an Include list with things like Barys, Otters, Pelagornis etc. helps keep the fish going to Piscivores.

Yes, so in your picture you have it set as an Include list, now to the right of the Radial Wheel, you will see the option to add dinos to that list (It will let you choose any dino type in range.) If you want to check what is on your list, or to remove something from the list, you can select the left option.

Figured it out, the tracker only tracks when it's updated and it appears to count all character explorer notes so if you go into a save file that has achievements enabled but a different save file had the give all explorer notes so you technically have them all but they're ghosted and you go pick up a question mark note because the command does not give you those it will give you the trophies

Apparently you can use commands on Playstation but you have to like close app or something like that every time to re-enable them

Which actually now that I think about it does make sense because when you close the app it completely refreshes the command terminal

Okay it does not retroactively count tames that have already been tamed in the past with commands enabled however you could still technically summon in knockout tames do a command to make them go to sleep and then tame them after you close app

One common crash reason is inventory related and is often avoided by selecting 'Disable menu transitions'

As far as the 'normal ark things, when flying', I'm not so sure. It's incredibly common at the moment, there are a plethora of suggested solutions over on the Steam Discussions, but it's so varied as to what works for each person, if at all. For example, a lot of people have had luck rolling back to an earlier Studio version of Nvidia drivers. Others disabling DLSS helps. It's all a bit hit and miss though.

Update, I restarted my PS5 again, just for good measure and my inventory was visible again, (still not working properly bc my armor was invisible on me) but my smithy inventory was still invisible lol

When one of my tribemates hops in I'll ask them if they can see the inventory. If so, I'll just restart my character and have them reinvite me to the tribe lol

Might be a good shout if it's only your character. There are console commands if you need them, to get your experience back, or even to force yourself into a tribe.

the best combination for me @dark wyvern is rexes with good saddles and daedon couse the lost of hp of dinos is way lower so daedon can heal esier and when he gets out of food you have more time to charge it again

and @dark wyvern prime meat recover much more food than normal

so if u run out of food on the pig the best option is only having cooked prime meat couse if you have normal he will automatic eat the normal and not prime

Well for one, your progress will save. SP is not saving properly for whatever reason. Plus Ark is such a big game it's more fun to play with others, IMO
