go to steam make sure game is closed go to your library find asa right click then click properties then go to installed files then verify integrity of game files @supple matrix that’s the one i was getting and i didn’t find an exact way to fix it i just kept trying eventually verified files and it let me in but i’m sure there’s probably an actual better way to fix it @warped lantern is that happening continuously?

the dinos will never be often high lvl for the island, its very rare on the island because they go more towards lower lvls and lvl 120+ will be quite a rare find

However you can notice different lvls of the dinosaurs that are lower lvl, on increments of 5-10-15 rather than 4-8-12, that way you can tell if its working

Boowomp, I'd suggest hoarding any metal you find until you unlock the refining forge at level 20, this allows you to smelt them into workable ingots for use in the Smithy Crafting Station (It's like a mortal & pestle for more complex blueprints).

I'd also recommend taming more prehistoric creatures, Iguanodon, Triceratops, & Utahraptor are solid tames for the early game.

The Trike allowing you to farm lots of berries (and a reasonable amount of wood for an upgrade to the hut (wood is a little bit more sturdy and opens more opportunities for building)

trikes are pretty common but try to venture small distances away at a time and the beach is ussually safer than the woods, atleast from my experience

Utahraptor is very speedy and good to get around on, they also get a buff when in a pack, so they can be a reliable tame for coordinating strikes on wild creatures.

And the Iguanodon is great for traversibility, being able to defend itself in a pinch with it's thumb spikes.

Fun Fact: you can turn on DLSS Ray Reconstruction on ASA with the command r.NGX.DLSS.DenoiserMode 1 . You can tell cause it adds a little watermark bottom right "DLSSD SDK - DO NOT DISTRIBUTE" and "DLSSD" is the name of the DLSS dll file for Ray Reconstruction. Which is also located in the game files. Not Sure if it'll do much as the game uses Lumen for Ray Tracing, and I don't know if Ray Reconstruction was built with that in mind. But neat little thing to try out for yourself.

I've got the weirdest issues. Can't find anything via Google but I have a 4060 and 16 gigs of ram. 1080 res. I have tried all settings and get great frames. Even on fully epic and maxing out the foliage stuff. I feel like my PC shouldn't be able to handle these settings. And also my character has a weird black fuzzy outline around him and under him no matter what graphic settings I use. Also the water looks terrible no matter the setting. Appreciate it. I did just do a DDU fresh install of my 4060 which I just got a couple days ago. I always crash within a couple of minutes with a rendering low fatal error. So maybe that's why my character and the water doesn't look the greatest. I am using an old MB CPU and DDR3 RAM. There are somet things i sacrified for the better performance. Changing view distance to low, shadow quality to medium and i'm able to run my 4060 ti in dx12 with the rtx turned on. But i found someone on youtube explainging the graphics, set to that and then starting doing little tweeks here and there till i hit something good. I get a graphical bug with my water and lighting after playing for a bit seemly randomly. It ruins the experience because turning dynamic foliage and water off results in floating rocks everywhere, and leaving it in results in restarting my game every 15 minutes. It also appears that nobody else is having this issue. I’ve changed settings, updated drivers, etc. I am about to try just reinstalling the game at this point.

this wont get rid of them, but it should put them back into place where they blong. setting enable foliage & fluid interaction to on, and then foliage interaction distance multiplier to 0.5 should fix it, youll just have to reload the game, hope this help!

Sadly yeah, it could be great though. I've got something like 4k hours in there. Love the sailing, the underwater content (there could be more tbh) but it's been an absolute mess for going on 2+ years now. So many bugs and broken mechanics, ships, all sorts. Yeahhh it's kinda aids but there's an issue with dx12 and the character creator for some reason, so you have to use dx11 for it. Just remember once you get IN the game to RELAUNCH it without the parameter on or your fps will be fucked

I know it's not my GPU overheating, because JWE2 gets my PC running hotter than ASA does, and that game gives me no issues even if I have it running half the day.

If you want your SP player and world onto a server, you need to transfer your "Local Profiles" "SavedArkLocal" and your Config stuff for your Game.ini and GameUserSettings.ini
I also recommend putting your SavedArkLocal into both server files for this. So the SavedArkLocal and the ServerSavedArkLocal or whatever it is or it wont work(presumably) Also dont forget, you have to upload your character in your SP before you can download and play your character on your server.

To my knowledge you cant force spawning, but you could increase the amount that spawn from spawners with DinoCountMultiplier. See if maybe it got decreased somehow. Look up the server config settings (works for SP too) you could also up the ServerAutoForceRespawnWildDinosInterval. Also make sure your game isnt launching with -nodino lol

I haven't made it in the game for more than a few seconds. Curious if unlockable skins are in the game how they were in ASE? Like the birthday suit and hats and what not. Are those in yet? I think you got em from doing specific achievements or hitting level 100 among other things.

If they are still there they should be in the rough location of each other, I don't know if y'all get like multiple save files but you could fly around with ghost mode looking for them or look for them legitly but they would be in the same rough location assuming they are still there

Got any commands for draw distance? WC claimed a 70% increase over ASE however on epic setting dinosaurs and bases are popping in much closer than ASE for me.
