I never had DLSS and stuff on in the first place. It helps cause it reduces memory loading, but in the end it can still crash, as something is wrong in their GPU memory management.

we just got our private server up and running, and we made a mistake with the dino levels, so everything was spawning at levels 1-3. We fixed it to enable wild dinos to go up to level 150, and restarted the server but everything is still 1-3

Still not working for me after latest patch, I still have to use the -dx11. Without it my game crashes after a few seconds.
With the -dx11 I can play for hours without crashing. The game is ugly and low fps but at least it's playable.

FYI, stego seems pretty good for wood. It has 3 stances, 1 stance is for wood (and damage reduction), another is for thatch (and a slow debuff on attacks), and another does berries (and armor penetration). The wood stance was getting me a lot of wood, though the stego doesn't reduce the weight.

Is there an official guide from WIldcard, not a community posted guide, that details how the self hosted dedicated server works?

I can get the server running under admin privileges, but I can't get it running under a restricted account (user level). I had no problem with this on the ASE DediServer, but the ASA DediServer works very differently. The community guides, while functional are based on some inaccurate and unnecessary information.

Ideally I'd need to know what specific rights \ permissions are needed to grant to a user account without making the user an admin.

If youre hearing clicking when it shuts off then it could be psu related, not sending enough power to the gpu to handle the load. Otherwise the gpu might be spiking for something on UE5. Do you play any other UE5 games?

Yeah, so many bugs already, probably wasn't ideal for a release of the game if it was in this state. But, with no player testing it's not much of a surprise. Although I do know that what I said DID work for me. Every update is a pain and it doesn't look like it will end soon due to the constant patch updates they're producing. Hi guys, I hope someone can help me, when I'm under water and I look up at the surface of the water, I always see a huge bright circle on the surface. I know if I turn off the Foliage & Fluid Interaction setting I no longer have the problem, but I've seen YouTube videos where people didn't have this problem and everything looked normal underwater even though they had Foliage & Fluid Interaction on.

I have a dedicated server question. I have set up a dedicated server on a separate powerful PC with 32GB of RAM with only 4 players planned to join. I used TroubleChute's tutorial on getting it setup. It seems to be running fine but when the server is shutdown everything wipes except for player lvl progression. This... yeah, has ALWAYS been the way. I hate it. It makes taming otters on land hell. Your best bet is to avoid big fish unless you can get the otter into the water. I know it kills taming efficiency and takes longer, and I hate that too.

This is actually a persistent issue in ANY open-world survival title that uses a variety of engines. I get this issue on Elite Dangerous, and it uses an in-house engine. Happens a lot on Unreal and Unity games.

@carmine lance there is are 2 problems with the rafts where the first problem is that the raft is glitching to the left every 2 sec. I dont know if its the dino thats doing it but it needs to be patched. The 2nd problem is that the dinos keep disappearing off the raft. I dont know why but its annoying as hell

Compare patchnotes yesterday 6pm. Fix crashes. Fact that they fucked up or missed something has nothing to do with you whining about how they "focus only on servers"

I have found that for whatever reason sometimes I have to go in and clear out the gameusersettings and primalconsole .ini's to get mine to start. You can try that. Close Ark, clear .inn's, then restart ark. Hopefully that helps you too. The other thing you can do if you have an nvidia card is use control panel to put it in debug mode.
