you can disable harvesting to keep it from gaining things from what it kills/eats

and Manticore unlocks some tek engrams, gives element, skins for armor and shield, a flag, and it's a story boss so it gives you extra max levels

The stats that it tamed out with are the only stats that matter. If you level it, the leveled stats will not count to the offspring.

How can i get a rex saddle blueprint on rag? ive been playing for 330+ days and ive been opening every drop i see and i haven't even found a single rex saddle not to mention ascended. I am on singleplayer and have drop loot at maximum, yet i cant find anything. What would you guys suggest?

Lava golem or ice worm queen drop the best loot on the map. I forget if rex saddle is in both loot tables or just one. You can easily google the locations. You'll need some decent gear/weapons/dinos to run those caves.

@magic marsh you can also use a grenade launcher, add a few regular ref grenades into the slots with gravity’s and it can kill them pretty easily if you land them.

how to avoid dying much for raptor and carno? I just started on single player on map island

Increase movement speed first when leveling.

For raptors, reach and make bolas. Run away after or throw spears at their heads.

A pack of dilos can take on raptors and you can punch or club dilos easily.

For carnos at early level, best is to avoid. Get to a point where you can out run and head for the closest trike/stego or even parasaur, however trikes and stegos will fight back, chance to kill it. You want it to aggro on anything else just to get away. Which it normally will if run past something else it will attack.

You should be near the red obelisk.

Alpha raptors and therizinos are your biggest threat. Theris are usually avoidable.

taming a parasaur can be great at early levels

they can carry a lot more than you and are good for harvesting berries, they can run for a good amount of time, have a sonar ping that lets you see where any potential threats are around you, and their C ability lets them scare off any dino generally smaller than a carno

Sony paid Wildcard 2.5 million to get Ark on Ps Plus and exclusive contract or not, you can at least expect them to fix crashes and bugs and not leave playstation players to fend for themselves, I paid full price for ark and both season passes just like other players too

I am having issues finding gigas in single player for giga hearts. Are there any game settings I can tweak to make them more likely to spawn? I've turned up wild dino count idk if that helps. I'm on my 20th lap across the mountaintops 😦

Have you been killing other stuff on your way through? Even if you are, gigas can take awhile to spawn back in. Carchars also drop giga hearts, as well.

High spawn weight dinos like Gigas and drakes and etc spawn towards the end of the cycle. And unless you have hibernation disabled things outside render range don't spawn

Just from experience for me. When I do a dino wipe on my cluster it can take 1-2 hours before I see a giga, carchar or titano. That's on a server so there's no hibernation when unrendered. It's faster to just kill a bunch of stuff in the spawn areas.
