I'm trying to download Ragnarok map, I don't have any other DlCs or mods, it's otherwise just the base game. Ark is being stored on my 1 TB external SSD along with most of my other games. When I try to download Ragnarok, it starts reserving almost 200 gb of space, but says the file is only 28.3 gb? idk what's going on but I definitely am not downloading something that big. I'm trying to download Ragnarok map, I don't have any other DLCs or mods, it's otherwise just the base game. Ark is being stored on my 1 TB external SSD along with most of my other games. When I try to download Ragnarok, it starts reserving almost 200 gb of space, but says the file is only 28.3 gb? idk what's going on but I definitely am not downloading something that big. I have a snapshot of the download specs but I cant send it here.

Then we will assume the mods are working correctly and it is just the save itself. What you should try is loading one of the backup saves. If you've never made one manually you can dig one out of the folder, if you've played that map for at least two auto save cycles

They might drop in a bag on the ground if you're not auto looting them. If the dino you're on is at 50%+ of their max weight they won't auto loot. Also, if you're on a wyvern it generally doesn't auto loot on a breath kill.

one early spot i like to build at is at 80,35, on that narrow strip of land. it's rare to get big threats spawning there, the river rocks provide a decent source of metal until you're ready to get to actual metal nodes, and water is basically a non issue

make sure they enable crossplay then. there should be a checkbox in the settings for the server.

If a seperate map on a fresh save crashes as well then it looks like a mod issue. I'd recommend fully removing all your mods with the method laid out here in the pins then trying again
