happened in other games as well. its a steam VR issue seeing the headset and assuming you want VR.

it doesn't support the VR controllers but the headset does work I believe. just need to do some settings stuff to have it not crash.

Anyone run into an issue where you're taming multiple dinos and then some of them start slowly dying for no apparent reason? I thought maybe it was because they were too far away but that's not the case. The food won't go down, it just continually says wait till hungry again, but instead the health slowly drains.
Currently taming Sinos but I've also had it happen with Shinehorns.
I punched it to try and put it out of its misery and while that reset the tame counter it did allow me to feed it again, though it immediately died cause its health was so low.

Can anyone help me with my game crashing? Already verified game files through steam, and it started happening after some update, but I haven't played for a month so no clue what update. First, it happened when I was loading into my game a week or 2 ago, and then it happens when I start my game, until i verified my files which made it start happening after being in the menu for a bit. Not sure if thats helpful. Also, unsubbed from a bunch of mods, and I only have popular ones left. Dumb question, but could someone give a detailed explanation on how to raise desmos? I heard you handfeed them blood until 10% or so, then they eat meat from maes, though I've still never raised one without dying. I've tried a bunch of different methods though I always end up doing something wrong

They can eat meat from the mae the whole time, but they eat a lot. If you put as much meat as the mae can hold they should be fine for awhile. Just keep it topped off whenever you can

cryo sickness is a pvp thing and isn't on pve. If you turn off pvp settings it won't be there. but that also prevents you from picking up wild dinos with flyers if that's something you've gotten used to

oh, its the stat points. -4 means you got the lower of the 2 parent's stat totals. it has 4 points less than the other.

when there isn't a number it means you got the higher one from the 2 parents and a green + means a mutation happened.

all mutations effect both a color and a stat. it either means it effected a stat that is disabled (like speed) or it was already below (like 2 mutations in the red -4 stat from earlier would be a net 0)

To trap it have a base of 4x4 foundations with single door frames around the whole foundation base place 4x3 stone door frames all around the base (48 in all) then place approximately 12 wood ramps at the top edge of one of the door frames on the opposite side where you place the ramps put 2 more higher door frames up

Ferox is highly recommended, as you can just hang on cliffs and throw boulders at it without any risk of danger. If you do not have a Ferox, any other high level mount will do, as long as it has a decent amount of health to tank its attacks

2. That depends on level and how many points are put in the health stat. The base hp for an alpha rex is 17500 (+3500 for each point in the stat) and i have no information on the carno, sorry.

Lost island is the engine build location. They all say that. Try to verify files if you haven't yet then if you still have issues come back and post the first 5 lines or so of the crash report

Windows updates will update most drivers. If you use Razer or Corsair peripherals they have their own app you can update in. Same with graphics card, there's usually an app you can update from. I'm just giving you the most common fixes for that crash.

Good morning! I play on xbox/w10 version through PC and have a NVidia 1660 TI with latest drivers. I've noticed that after the most recent patch adding SotF to the base game has brought a HUGE problem (at least for me) and I was wondering if it's been discussed. When i'm playing ARK i bluescreen almost immediately now anytime i get shot by turrets. I've reinstalled my graphics drivers and play with all the lowest settings for PvP performance and have NEVER had this issue since lastest version update of ARK. Anyone have news or also experiencing this?

I've seen people mention this and wasn't able to help them find a fix. The best I can suggest is to name them in a way that you can tell they're m or f. Seems like a rare bug and may be a save file corruption you just have to live with or start over.

I used to imprint my dinos just once and getting 100% with only one cuddle or a walk or food. The past 2 days i get percentages like 17% or 20% with every care....does it matter that i have more dinos than i used to?or let's say 5-6 of the same specific dino? I'm worrying that i might not even get the 100% on the imprint

its because of #server-rates , 2 days ago the rate was higher so u get 100% with one care, but now the rate is lower so its 20% per care

you will still be able to get 100% imprint though because maturation speed is also slower means that you can do more cuddles or walks or food and eventually get 100%

but if u hatched during the event then id say u cryo the babies and wait for another evo with same rate and raise it

I can’t join certain maps on any unofficial cluster, I’ve done everything I can think of to try fix it. Every time I join i get could not retrieve address, I’ve tried over multiple clusters and it’s usually only a few maps from the cluster. I’m on Xbox, I’ve restarted a million times, uninstalled DLC’s and then re installed, uninstalled the whole game and then re installed, switch WiFi connections everything. I’ve been having this problem for weeks and have missed an entire wipe so far and i just don’t know how to fix it so if anyone has any advice pls assist.

Yes, the timer will still keep ticking. But if you transfer a female between maps the timer resets and doesn't tick until you throw it out
