Oh this has a melee mutation and it's male, then replace your male you've been using with mutated male and continue till you get another then do the same

Eventually your using a male with... 15 mutations... Or whatever... Mating with 20 clean females and all your eggs will be the mutations you chose

So I don't know if this is the right place to ask this but my friend just lost her character from transferring to a server that crashed soon after. It's on the legacy servers and she doesn't have anyone else in her clan. She basically has no options right? She just lost everything or is there something that can be done?

To clarify when she logs into the server it says to create a new character on both servers she was on with no option to download her original character she's been playing for the last 7 years

Connection timeout is a hangtime error when connecting to a server. Most commonly because a server is using mods and when connecting your client tries to download them, and steam is slow or your internet is slower than ark wants and it timed out. If your server is not using mods this may be due to your administration type

do you guys have any tips for leveling up on the Lost Island? Ive only played the Island prior and I found many explorer notes/farmed swamp cave for my levels. However, Ive been on the Lost Island for a while now and havent found 1 note yet. But id prefer a location to farm similar to the swamp cave if it exists rather than notes

Free DLC's don't have notes, except Fjordur with the runes. You'll have to level organically. Kill dinos, especially alphas and craft a bunch. Rafts are good xp. Wyverns, rhinos, rexes, gigas all give really good xp too. If you can find alpha wyverns that's the best for xp. Tame a good basi and go hunting for alpha sharks etc etc.

Is anyone having issues with Ark/Steam allowing you to join none dedicated sessions? Not only did it keep telling me the session timed out, but the two times I did join it the first time I crashed during the intro video, and the second I had no sound. Timeout is due to hang time between you and the server. Most usually because a server is using mods and it takes too long to download them. Which isn't the case on official. Not sure what it would be trying to send you. Hence "possibly verify and make sure your on latest"

an update if you're following this: the giga's been found in southern jungle a distance away from redwood where it was last seen. chances are it got catapult'd there because ark does that every now and then. I found it while lawnmowing with strider. always great to use tek skin on giga and paint region 6 white or silver

5 : 1 i was getting asc saddles no higher than 120av, and riot gear, no higher than 600av. changed difficulty offset to 10. for 5:10, and in my second crate i found asc riot gloves with 1500av

personally i kinda dont see the point in armor in this game, for ALL of the difficult content your dino locked

which means the only armor value that matters is ur saddle, id say 100av saddles are average, while 200+ would be borderline op

and with arthopleura in caves just hitting u once or twice and ur asc riot gear going from full to broken instantly, i cant really recommend taking ur strongest gear into caves either cuz its gonna get melted instantly, and then now you have to spend hours resource grinding to repair it

So I've been trying to host a non dedicated server with mods for me and my girl to play on but we can't seem to get it to work, she basically cannot join it.
Time outs etc she even got the same mods .. any clue what can be going on I've been able to get on and play we were planning to play on aberration..

We have been at this for a very long time now she's been super patient any help would go a long way.

Then after a few minutes it said host time out or something.

But it didn’t really help and soon it started doing the weird starting download and updating thing.
And even tho i tried clear download cache, uninstalling and reinstalling steam, running it as administrator and restarting my computer and wifi it still does that.

Have her add you as a friend on steam and join your session off her friend list. Make sure the proper ports are open on your windows firewall and your router tcp and udp both.

If your still experiencing issues with that. Dedicated may be your best bet

You can use mods on a dedicated server. I'd add them slowly one at a time as some conflict and some don't work and if you add a bunch at the same time it will be difficult to figure out which one is causing issues

Ye. They are available on fjordor which is free. Otherwise thylas or... Other cat type mounts. They have a high jump so you can avoid using grapples, some types can even climb walls. They will be able to fit through most crunch spots and if you bring male and female you'll get the pack boost

Ive seen this bug happen once before

Back when I first started playing Ark

I went to tame a Lystrosaurus, and the moment I initiated the tame by feeding it, its hunger stopped going down and his health slowly started draining till he died

Havent seen that bug since then till now

This guy seems like he will wake up long before his health is fully drained

He is loosing like 0.2 health per second and he has 10k health

He will wake up eventually

It isnt a modded issue. That Lystrosaurus incident happened in a vanilla save

if oyu play solo you could speed up taming by getting a mod called something like appetizer it just makes food of dinos go faster if oyu feed them it

Hello, currently have a lvl 135 on small tribes official and im trying to respec the stats. Now i already respected while at this lvl about 2.5 weeks ago but the mindwipe wont consume it remains at 1d timer. It never lowers does anybody have a sloution to this? I have transfered servers and died multiple times and still no luck. I can reach max lvl 160 so im just not sure what other options there are. PLEASE HELP
