That was actually my first move- to verify the file integrity. After fussing with settings for a while I found turning off ambient occlusion was the solve for both the black and flickering issues. That said: I fully agree there is either a file missing or corrupt. I played all day yesterday with zero problem. Started up today, issues.

so for a while now i have been using really busted settings to the point where i am one shotting dinos with a dodo, ive tried to change them but my damage is still insanely high, what could i use for my dmg multiplier , wild dino stats, tamed dino stats etc for dmg to make the game fair but not to the point where i need 10 gigas to beat a rex

we just run with default for the dino stats and all that for the most part but we have the difficulty offset so we have 180 dinos. sounds like overall you just have the individual dino stats turned up pretty high, putting those closer to default value will give you a more balanced gameplay.

dino levels are set per map, most are close, the island is way off.. bottom line is there won't be a single value that will work the same on all maps. as for default damage stats fairly sure basically for almost everything 1 is the default value. and yeah like tribe said difficulty 6 offset 2 should be close.

Slightly boosted does not really define enough for us to help. Now from experience it probably wont be enough, but to be sure go to dododex and insert your settings

Yeah it wasn't, even with 50. I have taming speed on 5 in the settings section, plus singleplayer settings activated. Its a level 90, so imma go for something like 75 or maybe 100 even before I try again. I'm assuming that's all you need to do for a bloodstalker right?

You can tame it with just bloodpacks, but it ruins the efficiency and takes way more (up to 500 on your settings). Gathering a bunch of moschops and put them in a cryo will boost the efficiency and it will lower to 200/250 bloodpacks

looks like a corrupt save then. I'd wait for a second opinion before going further though because your looking at possible data loss if you don't repair it correctly

try checking for a update on your GPU.

1. Make sure drivers are up to date
2. Do not overclock, use 3rd party graphic enhancers, MSI afterburner etc.
3. Do not use broken or abandoned mods.
4. Do not play a glut of mods, especially multiple overhauls(ie dont add multiple mods that add more dinos/change the game play dramatically.)
5. Dont play in super boosted settings(super high harvest rates, wild dino counts etc).
6. Make sure as an added precaution(this actually causes a different issue but helps) by having steam's max ping setting at 250.
7. In conjunction with 5, dont play with graphical settings that exceed the performance/fidelity limits of your computer rig. In other words potato rigs arent meant to play in epic.

Yes, enable nursing and make sure the drake is in feeding range.

You can force feed it one and see if that is the case, the food will temporarily fill up and then go back down by a bunch.

If your game crashed your tames won’t necessarily be in the spot they were when you disconnected. Back track a ways and you should be able to find them.

Where did you do the note run? On the island I am guessing? You can try taming a megatherium, getting a 4x note and running swamp cave, that'll give a few levels. You can get a shotgun and do an ext note run then kill spinos

okay, so ive noticed something. since the most recent patch, ive been getting disconnect errors and lost connections more often. is there a way to fix this problem, my net speed is fine most days but nearly during every server save the game cuts off and goes to the game menu, when i go to log in often i get prompted with errors and failed log in attempts. any ideas

game is up to date, all drivers are updated, computers fine to run it well over max if need be. so really not sure what the problem is outside of game errors

It's a bit more of an advanced technique. But you could breed the mutated ones together a lot until you get a negative number in the mutation counter for the male. Once you get that you can breed it with clean females and have a better chance at getting mutations

if you load into single player then the server - without exiting the game client it will preload the map data and speed up the load in time. it helps for some but not all.

Singleplayer takes time for things to load as the game "pauses" areas that you don't have rendered in (showing dinos moving around, like the other side of the map, since you aren't over there)

You can edit the sensitivity, but the problem is the same sensitivity is applied when aiming, so looking down a spyglass or scope is unplayable because it's way too fast. And there's no separate sensitivity for ADS

@wheat solar @fathom topaz if you're playing online then there should be supply crates scattered throughout the green zone, although some may be hard to reach. If you're on single-player you have to travel to Rockwells portal all the way in the deepest part of the red zone. Still tricky but if you build a wing suit and some medical brews you should be able to glide straight down to it and transfer out before you die to radiation. Otherwise you'd need a hazard suit which is a lot of work to first obtain

Make gas by putting oil, hide, and a fuel source in a refining forge and turning it on. Put the gas in the generator. Be sure that you have wires and an outlet connected to the generator.

I got around the BattlEye kick issue by switching to Steam Link (was playing directly on my PC for a month or so, and that's precisely when I started getting kicked). I suspect it's caused by a few things, but NAT and DNS would seem to be part of the equation.
