There is no hard cap on armor durability, there is only a soft cap. Basically whatever the absolute maximum number the blueprints can generate with and then whatever that comes to with the crafting bonus. I'd have to know the specifics of how they are generated to know the theoretical maximum.

Because the level is determined by the total amount of points distributed into each stat. Every baby has a chance to inherit the mother or fathers base stat. Inheriting the higher of the options in multiple stats will result in a higher level, while inheriting the lower will result in a lower level.

In an Unofficial PvE server, two of my creatures disappeared - is there any way to get them back?
I tried to include as much information as possible, if it helps figure out where they might have gone

In Valgeuro, the Deinochus pit: Took an Enforcer out of a Cryopod (it was set to Passive) then turned around for a few seconds to fight a Deino with my Wyvern - When I went back to look at the Enforcer, it just wasn't there anymore - Did my wyvern push it underground? I checked the whole pit holding the key to highlight tames and whistling Follow, couldn't find my Enforcer anywhere. There also wasn't any kind of death message. What happened?

On the same server, Ragnarok, still PvE: A tribe I wasn't in was nice enough to hold my wyvern in a pin-locked Cryofridge while I was getting a new base set up, but everyone in the tribe was inactive long enough for the base to decay, including the Cryofridge. If I make a new Cryofridge, will my wyvern be there?

I've set up my own server and followed the directions.. It works. I went ahead and copied all the mods into the /ShooterGame/Content/Mods folder and started up the server.
I'm logged into steam as myself and have a collection of Mods for Ark that I subscribe to.
It appears that the server is taking extra long to start because it's also re-downloading everything from the Ark Steam workshop into my Steam/steamapps/workshop/content/346110/ folder..
Everything I read said to install the mods into the mods folder and nothing ever said anything about the workshop folder... Is this supposed to be happening?
(I'm running the server on PopOS Linux)
Anyone have any idea if this is supposed to happen?

Just attempted Rockwell for the first time. I lost miserably. What is a working strat for Rockwell? The biggest problems I faced in that fight were the element balls and keeping my Dinos from getting hit by the tentacles.

What I've seen is that people leave their dino army where rockwell will be hit by them. Shoot the element balls, and just shoot the tentacles while constantly moving. For taking out the tentacles, there are 2 methods. Using the cactus broth from scorched earth, reapers and nameless ignore you (doable on foot) or the rockdrake method (ride rockdrake and shoot from its back). Repeat shooting the tentacles till they all go down, then rockwell falls over, the dino army should then be commanded to hit him till he gets back up again. Rinse and repeat till he dies, of course the tentacles shocking are annoying and the energy ball spam gets REAL when he is closer to death. All in all, good luck.

From what I saw, a good pump-action shotgun or multiple good ones as spares, with lots of shotgun ammo, and I mean lots of it.

So I was told that a smaller army is ideal for this boss due to his high AOE damage. So I brought in a level 169 Basilisk, 2 level 155 Rock Drakes, and 1 level 165 rock drake

Hmmm, I don't think they'll last. There is a good reason people call aberrant megalosaurus the 'rex of aberration'. Also it being smaller in size means multiple can be on the small bridge platform that is within melee range of rockwell when he falls over to be hit. For solo, people bring 1 drake they ride on the back of to shoot from. The rest are just there to do damage to rockwell. I believe the nameless and reapers primarily target you over your tames, so you can draw the aggro away from them, but that means constantly running around the entire arena. But that is the method I noticed a lot of.

I think the element balls target the survivor over the tames, for megalosaurus it is surprisingly tanky, especially on aberration, since it is twilight constantly on the map, the night time buff they get makes them much stronger, they can take on creatures larger than themselves. You just need to breed them to get the mutations you need. Also believe!

if you were in SP you could revert to an earlier savefile (or use a savefile reader like larkator to look for if it exists on the map). if you were using dino storage you could pull a copy of it from soul recovery
on a server, unless you're an admin with savefile access.. no, nothing short of spawning a new one

your best bet is probably seeing if the admins would let you get a download of the map file to check it with Larkator and see if it still exists

if they don't mind + transfers are open to SP (though i doubt it), you could pull it from a backup savefile they give you via the obelisk. but unfortunately all depends on the admins being cooperative with you having savefile access

is anyone able to help me with a game.ini config issue? I managed to finally get deinonychus spawning on the island. I intended for them to be a bit rare but not impossible t find, but i ended up making them spawn WAY too much to the point of killing my only dinos that had a chance of fighting them because they would constantly spawn next to me while I was healing and couldnt run away from them. I'm not sure which value to change to fix this, and how much I should change it by (It's kinda difficult and tedious to test in game so if possible I'd prefer a general value that makes them rarer than raptors but not like quetzal leve rare if you know what i mean?) Im not sure if I should change "EntryWeight" or "MaxPercentageOfDesiredNumToAllow" and wether I should increase or decrease tgem.

I was getting damaged by my tamed bee's hive when i look into its inventory, despite wearing full ghillie suit. Why is this happening? It didn't damage me before, even destroying the hive and turning my bee queen back into a hive and placing it down, I still get damaged when searching its inventory. ok so me and my friends have a small server with single player settings enabled, and we found a max level lymantria so we tamed it bc we on se. for him, it was saying we would lose 2 levels and for me it said we would lose 12, and when it tamed it lost 2 levels

so i am trying to figure out how to enable sp settings on dododex

those were red muschrooms so i tihnk they were like round

only the pointed ones give bio toxin, you can also go to the lake in the blue zone and kill the jellyfish for bio toxin

One trick I used on Valguero was flying low on a Griffin, was able to kill jellyfish pretty easily. Just had to be careful to not hit the water.

Right, their agro is triggered (as I understand it) whenever an egg changes locations. E.g. from a nest to yours, or from an item cache to yours.

It might reduce detection range, but it won't prevent agro

Your best bet is having a means of outdistancing them quickly, once you grab that egg again

sooo the cuddle interval is how long between each imprint.

some dinos take longer than others and... overall I'm not sure but you typically want your cuddle interval like 1/10th of your cuddle speed

if your interval is too high your dinos will grow up before being fully imprinted

Nah G-portal is doing ARK servs too but Xbox uses Nitrado mainly. I've found them functionally okay and I run 2 servers wih them

Microsoft users have no choice but to use Nitrado for Ark. As you're asking about pc and console, I am assuming you mean xbox-win10.

Haven't been able to play for half a year now

Any and all attempts to install Better Dino mod also gets greeted with a VertexError regarding skeletal so greatly confused

Basic, skeletal was a skin from H-ween. Sounds like the last time you were on, you might have gotten corrupt files. You re-installed, but did you flush all past data, saves profiles et?

I flushed the mods and maps folders for both the server and client.
Have deleted Ragnarok saves via the in game single player menu
Also brand new dedicated server using Ark Server Manager

Also deleted the steam workshop files just in case something there was playing nasty with replacing stuff

All I can think of is corrupted GPU driver. Update to latest, or, if this isn't a problem that's "always been", roll back to last known good config. But that's all I got.

Been a reoccuring factor since an update ages ago, started getting an error on my server about Crystal Isles
But I'm not running any mods and have reinstalled Ark a good 4-6 times since then in vague hopes it would be okay

Everything else works fine, lighting, water reflection, shadows, animal textures
Everything but the sky. Saw a few people getting the issue online as well around the same time I first encountered it, but sadly no fix

Drivers are kept up to date fairly often

Hmm..

I'm gonna say if the rollback isn't an option, and the issue persists regardless, you might need to wipe your ARK data altogether and reinstall everything ground up. It does sound like you have a corrupt file in your mix

Will give it a try, gonna tell the PC to search everywhere for "Ark" and the AppID to see if I can just wipe all of my servers if must be to clean it off my Hard drive as best as possible
Its a shame as before this I had 8 Ark servers

Okay, then it is a new lighting code that the game is using and it is anticipated that it will be returned to it's core system. I suggest running a different map for a bit and see if that pans out. But that's only my opinion
