yeaaa so for ours up at the top end I made a 2x2 foundation, 2 pillars in the middle, attach Zipline about half way up the pillars (one pillar my feet still clipped)

now when you fire the anchor ... I didn't like gravity and physics so I literally WALKED down the mountain till I got to my spot and then attached the anchor on another pillar

I think there are some bugs in this game. The wildcards have not been fixed. When someone's server crashes and restarts in PVP, you can try to create a tribe near his base. There is a probability that he will lose the ownership of the tribal buildings, I think this bug that has lasted for several months should be repaired, otherwise more players will lose

ark has spawn weights. there won't be a set amount of a type of dinos. only a set amount of dinos. once a server reaches that limit things need to die to get new spawns. if you spent most your time in regions where no Gigas are (and Gigas have a low spawn percent anyways) then other dinos have probably taken the cap

in that kind of scenario, i'd just start jumping. the jump is just slow enough for a drake to catch up but its pretty much the only thing you can do.

Sheesh I heard the underwater caves were tough, but it was worse than i thought, i got chased out by a lvl235 mosa and lvl200 tuso, they kept chasing me outside the cave too. I tamed high lvl basilo mated-boosted pair. Any advice to conquer them? I heard that high quality bp can be obtained in those caves so tried to get them. Should i just breed some good basilos first? The island underwater cave i went to first was the eastern one.

take the western first

and non-player controlled basilo's do not attack any enemies in the underwater caves because its too deep, its very frustrating, so their only use would be mate boost

Spawn edits are generally very lightweight. New modded creatures can be heavy on size, which is an issue on a map like gen2 that has absurd ram requirements

there was a bit of a mess at its release, because server hosts didn't support the 12+gb ram gen2 needed to run properly

2: If you hug the shore, all the way up to the ice biome, no threats? leeds cant get you if you hug the shore right / nothing other than them can damage motorboats / metal body frame ?

glidesuit into the trench, uncryo your dinos and kill all the drakes/steal an egg and book it. the ramp up is completely safe until you get newr the top where you want to grab some red gems for a drake saddle and stay on your dino because purlovias spawn there but wont aggro onto spinos or karkinos.

as the name implies, its very easy to get lost in the drake trench. i'd highly recommend mapping out a route in another world/in creative mentally or watch a video because iirc theres 2 sides if you dive in from the spine and if you go to the wrong side, it can be really confusing trying to find the way up

I'm no expert, but my strat a while back was using a dozen or so leveled megalosauruses. Spinos are fine too, but you'd need more than the above. Karkinos are fine for travel and egg stealing, but I don't think they're appropriate for fighting hordes of Drakes.

You also might be able to find your server if you change the filter to “my survivors” keep in mind it may also take a few minutes to boot up the dedi.
