in a nutshell, getting 100% imprint with a specific maturation rate is either cancer, is too short/long inbetween or some dinos straight up just cant be imprinted anyway. easiest solution is to edit the BabyImprintAmountMultiplier in your game.ini to be able to fully imprint stuff easily. make it anywhere from 1.5-3x for easy imprinting, or make it 1000x for 100% imprint on the first go. with this, you can set mature speed to whatever you want and then set the cuddle interval to 1/MatureSpeed and it should be fine

They can't easily knock out most tames so if you have one, use it.

green zone metal is actually pretty scarce. you can dip your toes into the blue zone if youre near there and if youre feeling brave. theres some metal on this island thing near portal, more specifically near the depths cave, and if you spawned at fertile lake theres a big pillar thing with a few metal nodes and a plant z near it. i recommend building near one of the surface entrances though, plenty of early game metal + easy access to surface when youre ready.

• parasaurs are basically the most most early game tame available and they work as a bare minimum
• iguanodons are a solid step up
• procoptodons are one of the best options (use right click instead of left click) if you can get a few rare mushrooms
• maewings are also pretty solid at gathering berries, but the hitbox is kind of buggy. as with procoptodon, use right click for best effect
• striders are as per usual basically best in game and if you have access to gen2 they're basically just a few missions away

The way I was supposed to build it was place a square foundation, then attach a floor to the side of the square foundation, then place the triangular foundation on the underside of the floor. Like I said, the square foundation snaps just fine, but the triangular one doesn't like it

The concept is sound. Sometimes you have to just brute force it by standing in different spots, placing adjacent structures and trying again, or ripping stuff up and starting fresh.
