Make sure you're positioned correctly. Sometimes trap walls/pillars get in the way even though it looks like you have access

Yeah you place it with a Tek gen to power it, and give it a high level pick or hatchet and it will auto harvest resources in a radius around it, and can be set to auto send them to s+ dedicated storage boxes

Preventing hibernation fixes resource and dino respawn bugs, and allows buff-based mods (that apply their mods only in specific circumstances) to work, allows the S+ dino finder to work properly, and I do highly recommend running with the launch paramater. But I do have to warn that if you later re-enable hibernation (remove the launch option), it can cause crashes. This seems to be able to be fixed by launching with certain launch params and dinowiping, but I've not run any save like that for an extended amount of time so I can't say if it's 100% effective in the long term or not. You'll need to add it to the steam launch paramaters- Right click on ark on steam, properties. Add exactly this- Hyphen included- -preventhibernation
It also increases ram usage quite a bit, but is very much worthwhile

There is an option called sth along the lines of “enable wild dino carry/pick up PVE” in your SP settings, I’m not sure (and not home either rn to check on my PC) if it’s on the first page or under the advanced section tho

You could also disable cryosickness via ini or maybe even with a setting ingame, as well (can be enabled or disabled for both -pvp and pve- modes)
