He probably just misunderstood something he read. If your baby is a high enough level it may not need food. But that’s usually only the case with special tames and boosted servers.

Gacha babies have an odd bug that causes them to either eat all the food in their inventory or not eat any if you’re out of render which leads to them starving to death. So you’re gonna wanna feed it and stay nearby while it’s still young.

Traps just complicate the shadowmane tame. Highly recommend my previous suggestion. That being said, to lure it in you’re gonna have to get off the bat and run. Because it will dismount you if you try.

If you fly up, it will dismount you. And as someone who’s tamed dozens of Shadowmane to find good stats for my line I can assure you, the trap is only complicating the whole process. Far easier to kill everything around it so it has nothing to aggro on to it and tame it come day time.

will take a few hits, non-alpha leeds are slower than motorboats too

Where a raft will take like 30 percent of health per hit by an average leed, a motor boat will take like 5 percent per hit. Plus it can put run them so unless you’re sitting still you shouldn’t even get hit.
