I want to extend that stone platform to the right in the picture but the ground slopes off and I cannot snap the stone flooring to the other stone flooring

ASE is kind of terrible for this. You can put two ceilings out and put pillars down from the second ceiling into the ground, but the only way to make the floor flat without ruining snap points is to put ceilings on top of all the foundations. Starting out I'd recommend living with the bump in the floor instead

Also your pillars are going to probably stick up through the ceiling a little, but I think that's the easiest way to build on a slope.

• asE can totally make the ceiling the same height as foundations! just snap a triangle roof ontop, wich will give you a lower ceiling snappoint[ wich can also be used to get "underground" ceilings]) also a greenhouse wall(maybe thatch too? idk anymore) will give u a deeper snap & fence foundation can also be used!...there are like 6 different ways to get flat!
• and pillars can be fully below ceilings! (snap a pillar half/half & then snap one below that ceiling, it will have a snappoint thats deeper, without pillarpimple ontop!) also you can snap that directly deep, sometimes, but the "center ceiling pillar" does it reliably!

here is an example for a "lower then ground/foundation ceiling" from a triangle roof

Thanks, but I used scribbles for this, which makes it a bit easier to position the sentences.

This is all in German without a translator. Only some sentences are split. The first part is in a different location than the second part. It's a small room where players have to find clues to progress in the escape room.

The dossiers are from the Wall 'n Floor Decor mod! Highly recommended, has a lot of cool little things like that. It & RR Home Deco, with JVH garden/landscaping for more plants, are my favorite base-decorating mods! For that one I put it on a half-height thin pillar 🙂

It's not a full water block, it just looks that way. It's an illusion. The water you see over sharks is a ceiling tile with mod 'wild water' (use one with 3 water waves). The walls are paintable walls from 'deluxe dreamhouse' painted color prussian blue. Under sharks belly is a ceiling tile turned invisible from mod 'crystal structures'. Hope this helps.

Also, you can't see these in other pic, but in 'wild water' mod there's a fountain I mounted on wall to appear as an water aerator. It gives it a more lifelike look with movement.

Its a boat and the table is only 2 ceilings away while on the other side of the boat which is like 8 ceilings long, in which i can place the table at the very end of that side

Above the sharks is a ceiling tile turned to water using 'wild water' mod. There's no water where sharks are, it's just built to look like there is water.

Anyone get tek behe cellar doors to snap properly? After an hour of trying everything I know trick wise I'm exhausted of messing with it. Anything I use to alternatively snap it in, it picks up with that piece.

The perimeter ceilings? Yes. The way I built this, it requires the structure you see. Outter walls are two large walls high. At the center its probably closer to three large high.

They will snap to other things, walls, square ceilings, the reinforced behe cellar doors. But as soon as I remove any of those things to make them snap on their own they come down. Picture from the inside when it was whole on the tope (stilll was missing some far walls in this one I think.) Also I dont actually have beams. There are a few pillars in my build but its pretty limited.

Top down as it is now. The removed pieces are only gone because I'm at so high a count. Only way to get back into the space I'm trying to work in.

Try to use vertical tek hangar doors, build them to your height, set them to never auto or or close, close them, build pillars along them, build the beams, pick up the pillars (beams will stay because of the hangar doors), leave the doors open

No, because the more pieces I add the harder it will be for me to put everything back down. I don't have beams in my build. I have tried temp snapping it to square ceilings, walls, and other cellar door types. But if I remove those pieces after it down, it comes right back up.

But I did test your beam question. It will snap to it. Like all other non triangle structures. Maybe in the end thats my solution and I add a couple thin beams. Its frustrating though because when I did it the first time I didn't need beams. Why its changed is the big question.

It’s a memory leak issue in the game, and it’s really annoying. It depends on the map, the number of structures, and how many painted structures there are. Restarting the game can help if you’ve visited several different builds in different areas. But if it still happens even after you’ve checked your own build, there’s not much you can do besides cleaning up painted structures and reducing the number of buildings. Since I discovered this problem, I only build on The Island, because the bug still happens there, but you have more room before it becomes a problem compared to other maps.

Designate rooms for specific purposes; a crafting room could be split into themes, like separate cooking from chemistry, smelting from workshop crafting;

For colossal builds like castles and skyscrapers, keep the mindest that its still a home for you and your tames; if its big and you want to enjoy it all, make the journey within your base worth the walk;

My tower has a nice dramatic front gate that shimmies its way ti the crafting rooms, and if I died and lost my jetpack, I have a cool elevator that takes me to the top where my dragons are, while my villa elsewhere is just super vibe-y, its just nice to walk around in it, even if its just to grab my deinosucchus

Creatures go on the bottom floors where they wont get stuck; players can go in higher up living quarters, maybe with some shoulder pets to keep them out of harm's way, lest a wild giga somehow finds you mr abode offine.
