Not that, for example an allos preferred kibble is superior, i you give it extraordinary or any other kibble besides superior it will take longer to tame and will ruin the effectiveness, which has happened to me before by clicking the wrong kibble and putting it into the Dino’s inventory

So extraordinary and the other kibble will ruin the effectiveness if not used in the right Dino’s inventory

Depends what you're feeding it. With berries it can be rather time-consuming, and during that time you're at risk of running into dangerous dinosaurs (Mejoberries are the best of all the berries to use iirc) but with carrots, it'll be much quicker

You just need to crouch up to it with food in your last slot, then press E when you're next to it to start the "minigame". The equus will run around with you riding it, and you need to press E to feed it every time it tells you to in the bottom right corner

I highly recommend an iguanodon as an early-game mount! You need to bola it or be careful, though, as it is a knockout tame and will try to attack you when you hit/shoot it

the only way to heal dinos depends on what dino it is; if its a herbivore you need to feed it veggie cakes
a carnivore can fe healed with raw fish or raw meat
wyverns can be healed with wyvern milk iirc
magmasaurs can be healed with ambergris
and rock drakes can be healed with nameless venom

and of course, natural regeneration

Plus its just satisfying
