okay so you need to either download hamachi/radmin ( these are the only 2 i know, radmin is better use that ).
create a server there and make your friend join it. your friend then copies your ip address.
You host non dedicated in whatever map you want, your friend also joins that map in singleplayer, then they use the console command "open [ ip address ]" and it'll connect you
