10% can still give levels. RNG to which stat gets the levels. Levels represent how many points go into each stat, some point increases cannot be seen like when the RNG puts points into speed

The video with the breeding of allos for dummies was such a helpful video for me!

The total level is a representation of the points into the stats. High level doesnt always mean the good stats have the good amount of points.

But idk if you know that. I got tamed an argent with 45 points into it's weight, I was so delighted for that stat to get so many points into weight

Get two levels, you mean like a level 15 is tamed out to 17, well those two points went into some of the 6 stats (6 or 7 stats) some of those stats will have zero points put into the stat, so you find out which of the stats have zero, and breed with another low tame with zeros in the bad stats.

I'm recalling from memory so I am not sure on how many stats there are.

Level is not as important as the points when it comes to looking at breeding to maximum effectiveness.

Ok so find out which stats have the zero points into them, use a stat calculator of some sort, or make a baby from it and use the breeding object thingie (egg incubator) to find out what points went into which stats.

If the two levels went into HP, that's fine, you breed with another adult with huge HP, and the two that went into the low level HP doesnt matter, because of the low stats of the HP dont get passed on in random chance.

RNG is part of the breeding.

The baby only inherits one parentys stat to each stat. But in total, the baby will have a random selection of which stat came from which parent, and you want the useless stats (like Oxygen) to come from the low parent, and the good stats (like HP stamina or MElle, depending on the species) to come from the high parent, which is several layers of RNG.

Level of the tame is practically irrelevant.

Level of the tame is a total of the points that went into the stats.

Yes. If the two points went into the Health, then your tame is good for breeding lines. If the two points went into Oxygen, then your low tame is bad for breeding.

I can try to simplify, imagine your tame has only two stats. Heath and speed. You want to get the most points into health, and zero points into speed. You tame a wild with 45 into health, that;s your high pet, and you tame a low with zero in speed and 2 into the health. Your low is good for breeding because when you tame the high with the low, RNG will put the 45 OR the 2 into the baby, you want to keep the baby with the 45 points into the health and hope RNg plays in your favor and puts the zero into speed.

Understanding your tames' points are vitally important to making boss-killing tames

So find out where those two points went into, before using the low pet.

know your pet's points if you want to raise boss babies.

I could pull out my weapon while riding, kill alpha carnos with some effort, not take fall damage... not the speediest of all tames, but had good round stats for many of my pve needs. weight was bad but not a horrible hinderance.
