Na that was long time ago, Aberration was the first “weird” map (SE before had started a bit with some fantasy stuff, but not as extreme) with many fantasy creatures. Then Ext / Gen was mainly alien and sandbox game, abandoning the Dino survival thing more or less completely

Btw just noticed, if you haven’t gotten a reaper yet, make sure to be prepared to NOT take any radiation damage it will kill the baby instantly.
Also you need to kill wild dinos for baby XP while you’re pregnant, so it’s good to have some shotgun ready or sth to get it done quickly

Level matters definitely, the baby will have better stats chances on higher levels like other dinos you tame normally

Yea it’s pretty easy, i occasionally get reapers on both Gen2 and Ab (mostly during events) and then on 2x xP rates it takes like 5 minutes to max the baby bonus levels. Tho I do it on my home map after transferring so I can use wyverns for fast transport and killing

Keep pheromone gland on you so the baby doesn’t try to kill your after birth. Best bet is to claim and cryopod it as soon as possible which takes it from hostile to tame. Also make sure to get your 75 levels for baby before birth. Go around killing a ton of stuff. Avoid radiation as it wipes the pregnancy

^^ i've tamed many using this trap - 4x4 2 walls high - and if its lower level - even tranq darts can kill it - so make sure you space them out 10 secs apart to get maximum torp and minimum hp drop XD

yes - wyvern/ mana.. no pteras on scorched so you could go for a tapejare XD although the first one is the hardest.

XD moth.. not tried.. but unlikely you would outrun one tbh.. but the technique of dying and then returning for the egg is a plan... other plan - on rag, i used to tame a ton of ptera's low level... and then have them follow me. soon as i grab the egg whistle aggressive and escape while they attack the wyverns.... maybe that could work with a swarm of moths? XD

As long as there isn’t a lot of strong herbivores nearby it shouldn’t die on its own, and you’ll need about 60 tranq arrows minimum to knock it out so just leave it and go make some

You can shoot off the back of an iguanodon can’t you? If you can once it runs try shooting off the back of it and if it turns around you’ll be able to outrun it
