for me, default is actually quite all right. Once I play more and get good dinos and feel comfortable, I'm gonna disable the single player settings to play normally, cause honestly, the more I play with Singleplayer Settings, the more I realize how busted they are

Best lesson I can give about ark is that you don't have the luxury of having enough reaction time to react to what comes at you. You just need to learn where you can and cannot go at what points in the game. As a new player you will get shafted.

Getting an Anky at the mountain is a pain because it's surrounded by the forest that you just don't wanna be on land through for a while
My current run through I've got two bases so far, one on starter beach with my main stuff and an anky base at the mountain, I traverse between them with flyers because honestly fuck the ground route to the mountain

Personally, I like better colors good enough stats. But YMMV.
Add in all the myriad of event colored dinos and it would be a full-time job to maximize your own particular flavor of perfect colors and perfect stats.

Do you mean the ones you get from completing the genesis chronicles, or the event ones? The genesis note chibis (shadowmane and noglin) will show on any characters, or they should. The event chibis you have to find/craft, they will not spawn with you if you have another character.
