hey, i actually did do it a while ago! and by that, i mean i did it two days ago.
you're going about this the wrong way- the strategy isn't quality, it's quantity. because at the end of the first kneel, the kt is going to do a megapunch that will kill everything attacking it. if you have creatures to spare, this will be fine, but if you don't, you may need to worry because without the 4x damage the kt takes in singleplayer the titans alone aren't enough for the fight.

i would recommend not using the meks unless you have someone to pilot them, because meks don't use whistle commands, not using the reaper unless you're just really bored and are comfortable with it dying because it won't do anything, not using the wyverns unless you're comfortable with them dying, and dumping the theriz, too, because they won't do anything either. then, get so many gigas that you think "yea, that's not a reasonable number to expect me to get." 200 for each fight is a good estimate, and since there are so many of them (as long as you have ~300% melee pre imprint) you won't have to worry about leveling and imprinting them, just feeding them.

On crystal isles, they spawn on the desert part, near the crystal wyvern nest (the griffins live in a trench)
