I have no idea where to share this and I know that I barely talk in this server only to share my ark fanart but I had a dream there was this new free dlc map that was oddly similar to the assassins creed origins map, but it had more canyon formations kinda like in the crystal isles desert. One thing I remember is that in one particular canyon formation there was a freely roaming overseer boss which was exceptionally weaker than the Island overseer. Sorta like the overworld broodmother. You could cheese it by hiding behind one of the canyon rocks and continuously shoot it from afar, you could even defeat him with arrows. No ascending, just a crap ton of rewards. Sharing because I thought it was kinda goofy

I figured out a solution for slot cap transferring items using dedis.
Example from earlier today..
If I hit transfer all on a max dedi of dust I can get 414 stacks of dust, way more than slot cap. I cannot transfer servers with this I will lose at least 114 stacks of dust. So, if I place 2 dedis next to transmitter then..

1. Transfer all from full dedi #2 to inventory
2. Transfer to transmitter
3. Transfer the rest in inventory back to dedi #1
4. Popcorn transmitter tribute inventory to myself and then transfer into dedi #2

Rinse and repeat til I reach 300 stacks in dedi #2 and transfer all from dedi #2 into inventory and transfer back any amount of stacks to compensate for any items I’m holding. I risk no loss of inventory. Thoughts?

Yes you just climb up, lay down and feed crystals. It will fly around while being tamed so have a parachute handy just in case. M and F of same type can breed (blood/tropical/ember are the 3 types and must be pairs of each type) you can take primal crystals off the map but they don’t last very long.

Though a lot of ppl complain, I find the devs made a really complex game with good mechanics. I'm very happy with it.

To the ppl that say the maps are crap, I've made landscapes in UE4 and I find Ark's maps really nice. I can in no way approach the skill level of the maps I've seen here. Ppl may not understand the limitations of the technology at this time, but WildCard has made great stuff for our current level of computing power. Things that appear "simple" ain't when you try to do it yourself.

Okay to answer from before (was off discord to get little ones going). Yes you can build a raft on crystal. Yes there are the leeds. Stick to the shores and you’ll be fine and can get to green ob on the raft. Best trap for a giga is the metal circle foundation thing with double door frame and triangle angled roof pieces. There’s a video on YouTube. It’s reusable and doesn’t leave spam like the gateways and such.

of course these days they aren't as recent

around when I started the game, they made wyverns and a lot of insects breedable with weird gyrating eggs and they updated the stego and mammoth
so I keep it in mind when looking at older videos

also helps to keep in mind which dinos have had updates in the past
very old videos will even have the old GUI, which was very meh compared to the current one

Bring tranq darts. Lots. Multiple long neck rifles. When it KOs, spam it with narco berries and narcotics. It’s torpor goes down FAST. The berries raise torpor for longer. And wait til it’s food goes down enough for kibble to tame in one shot. You can get dododex for more specifics if you need

Dododex explains all that for every dino. I highly recommend. Their taming efficiency is determined by their favorite food I suppose. While some stuff works, certain things work better than others. And some Dino’s don’t need kibble at all.

Hmmm, ok, cause I was feeding waiting for it to come down again and feed... and with reg crystal it takes forever, or they lose taming or something. I could get close enough to feed them, (I tried 3 different ones), but I never thought I could climp up the wing. They are quick to fly... or I should get up on them, THEN feed so they run away...

I'll try that for real... but I'll need flippers to get back on land if they go over the water and buck me (even if I have a parachute slowly descending into the water to killer fish doesn't sound great...)

i hop onto my singleplayer world and immediately see everything shaking, i swear i put all my dinos on neutral but everything decided to attack something at once, i spent 5 minutes moving all the dinos back, got stuck and had to use ghost multiple times, then i try to imprint on my rex and realise i cant interract with anything

if an enemy attacks a dino then everything will rush to defend it

as for getting stuck
the "move to" whistle is your friend

grapples do break if something starts fleeing from you for any reason though
