Hey Guys. In the case of an Elderclaw Seed being SPAWNED IN via commands what would the eventual Elderclaw end up being stat wise? Would it be completely random or set to a certain level? I'm setting up a shop on a server which is on the Island (and there are no Elderclaw Spawn mods currently). I'd love to know if i could provide players with a seed to grow their own Elderclaw or if it'd be better to just give pre-tamed ones which would have a guaranteed level! I'd test this myself but dont have Lost Colony quite yet so cant do my own personal testing haha.

minor updates are often after for consoles due to cert.
steam gets them immediatly and then consoles get them whenever they pass cert. obviously this isn't always, and sometimes consoles get ones that steam doesn't.

I'm having a persistent issue with Ark: Ascended updates on Steam. Every time there's a patch, the 'patching files' process takes an incredibly long time, even for small updates.

My setup:
The game is installed on a dedicated M.2 NVMe SSD (Drive G).
I have over 270GB of free space on that drive.
Steam is set to use this drive as the default library.
Despite having high-speed storage and plenty of space, the disk usage during patching is very slow/inconsistent. Is there a known fix for this, or a specific Steam setting I should adjust to stop it from bottle necking?

if you can’t join any server at all then it could be your wifi connection, if possible, move your Ps5 closer to your router, or vice versa. if you have an ethernet cable you could run one from your router and see if that does anything

I did a deepdive into it, and i got driver hang error 117 when i teleported or tabbed out. So it was a gpu driver problem, no other issues was found. Kernel power 41 was just windows telling it shut down

if that is Bug Check 0x117: VIDEO_TDR_TIMEOUT_DETECTED, that basically means the GPU either froze or took too long while doing something, and windows gave up waiting for it. that would only cause the game itself to crash (after 2 seconds, unless you increased TDR in regedit at some point?)

increasing TDR timeout can turn some hangs that cause crashes into brief freezes without crashing, but it sounds like you have something else going on, and the GPU is probably completely freezing

I get what your saving, and i understand the meaning of kernel 41, root cause: 0x117 was Ark being in fullscreen, and after last patch when tabbing out or using teleporter the game would use a lot of resources to render it all back again. Whatever wildcard did, made the driver to hang and crash, windows just did what it was made to do, restart after a "long" timout when the gpu driver did not respond. But its all good now, i found a workaround and the game is smooth with no issues. Thanks for replying man, appreciate it

also, it means it shut down without being able to log a real error which basically means the hardware crashed instantaneously, or in rare cases the OS drive is unwritable

if your qualified person does not know what error 41 actually means, probably the most common error from a windows OS is, they are not actually qualified. if it continues to crash, find someone who is

Stats are random. I have one with a high oxtgen stat. You have to breed what you want in. Tek binos help alot so that you can see their stats and if its worth the time to tame or just take the heart

It will pick one at random but still count the baby as having 2 mutations when it will only be getting the benefit from 1.

It's reason you're recommended to breed mutated males with clean females for stacking mutations.

Gigas and Carchas health pool pretty much doubles when they are imprinted since the 20% health bonus applies to the wild HP before the tamed nerf hammer hits. I think it does the same to the melee stat on them as well. It's reason tamed gigas and carchas feel weak but imprinted ones feel like they are god tier. They also get very little benefit to leveling hp after taming so people usually put all the points in melee.

Only attack outposts that give sigils are city ones. I don't remember the command off top of my head but there is one. If your on a unofficial server the Better Outposts mod has ini options to allow non city Attack Outposts to give sigils and also boost sigil drop rate. Sorry I dont know the details but seen people saying you can fix it by starting the PlayStation in safe mode and clearing the games cache. It seems to be a pretty common issue on PlayStation unfortunately but I'm on xbox so it's not something I'm familiar with. Hope you can get it fixed.

Only way to increase oil production on dung beetles is to get the server owner to make it so poop and fertiliser can stack so it takes them longer to slot cap themselves. However crop plots will always consume a entire stack of fertiliser at once. So bigger fertiliser stacks make it so dung beetles can produce more oil before needing to be emptied but will take longer to fill crop plots while the plots will empty themselves at the same rate.
I would seriously recommend not having fertiliser stack above 10s because of this.
Just for reference having poop stack in 50s and fertiliser in 10s can allow a dung beetle to produce well over 800 oil before reaching slot cap on fertiliser.

Is anyone else tired of the game constantly crashing when in the City on Lost Colony. Then having difficulty getting back on to the server. I’ve lost tames, equipment, armour and loot. We had a crazy glitch yesterday on Astraeos with the pet stand. Tribemate put drakeling on pet stand, logged out. When we logged back in pet stand and drakeling were gone. Tracked drakeling and it was hovering somewhere out in the ocean. We flew to find the drakeling and when it rendered, not making this up, it turned into a juvenile thorny dragon and fell into the ocean. 😂

Astreos works fine for the most part. Its a huge map. Does it have some issues yes but alot is caused by too many huge bases, max tames out all osds at once . The servers cant handle the load people put on it.

Yeah, the game is, unsurprisingly, terribly unoptimized. Even with a 4080 super I had to lower things to high or medium and change a few other things for consistent 60fps on a 1200p monitor.
