i had the same problem with.my Elon musk computer don’t listen to all the fake tech support ppl open your task manager and watch while the update is patching and see which drive is being used to patch the game files. Steam doesn’t always use your ssd to patch EVEN if the game is installed on the ssd. If it’s already done patching, OR you can see that its the wrong drive already then go to steam settings>storage and see your list of drives. Starting from the top it goes 0,1,2,3 and so on. Then go into steam apps folder and open appmanifest_2399830.acf using notepad and set the Staging Folder to the corresponding number of the SSD that u wanna use to patch the updates

This reduced my patching time from 1.5hrs down to 10-15 mins by using the proper drive

Who knows how to solve the problem. The mouse does not work in the game and does not interact with applications. For example, a menu that doesn’t work where you need to press the mouse. It is impossible to access the server even because the menu is not available. In the game itself, it is impossible to hatch an egg. It is impossible to get things out of quick inventory. And so much with something else. And the mouse works.

Because it’s specifically this interaction with the Large Storage Box only. If it were a hardware issue there are much more intensive things that would crash my game. I can fly all around aberration/astreos/etc without any issues, I feel like a hardware issue would reveal itself then over an interaction with a floating UI.

And yes I’ve tried it on multiple maps on both solo and non-dedicated and results are the same.

My game crashed right after I uploaded my character, when I loaded back in I was still on the map. So I uploaded again to go to a different map. There were 2 uploads! I went to abberation, was playing and the game crashed again. When I went to get back in to abberation, it is making me either download the other upload or make a new one. Trvke. Giga does not need a tlc either, only the charcha is better than it and that’s situational. Megalosaurus is insanely good on abb and the theri is like a top 3 harvester and boss creature 😭😭

Anyone unable to make a new character without the game crashing on PS5 Pro? If I make an existing character, and then try to make a new one after, the game crashes. Found this out when making funny preset abominations. I’ve cleared my console’s cache, rebuilt the database, and reinstalled the game twice and I’m unsure if I should make a bug report. I’d rather not have to make another account for something 😅

It occurs both in single player and on a server, where I’ve been able to do so without issue up until a few days ago. I noticed it also stopped saving presets I made.

Interestingly enough I’m not the only one who’s been getting some odd progressive issues over the past few updates of maps and such! The character creation screen for example has become fuzzier and fuzzier with pixelation. Idk if anyone else has noticed that, but that was my first clue to something be wrong before this. I blamed it on my mods and figured I could live with it, until I wiped everything.

Able to fix it by making a link between the two, although then any game updating on D is now copying from c but yeah

If your d is bigger then your c it'll download on the d

And there is literally no way to tell it to just not

Technically in the text file for the games directory on where they're stored. there is an option to tell it where to update to however it just never works whenever I try to do it

The only way I have gotten it to work is to make a link between the download folders from d to c to make steam update in the c drive which removes the need for copying files which is where the biggest slow down happenes for me

i recommend using the tool "link shell extension" if not experienced with using the commandline

and /j should be used over /f, junctions are just saner on windows
