Aquatica is a really bad map with some good ideas and garbage marketing, the concept art work for some of the creatures was good and that’s really the only redeeming quality of it all. The map broke ASE, it was promoted using ai generated trash, and it was just a reused asset fest with bad dino reskins. It should not in any way touch ASA.

Ah, you can try to spawn in a fresh map without anything on it and see if it crash. If it does not crash then it could be one of those mods making you crash. I have the same issue with another mod. And I had to delete it

YOU may have an nvme slot on your board but it may be SSD and not M.2. There is a difference , M.2 slots have 1 notch out of it while a SSD NVME has 2. You cannot put one in the other

hmm yea thats weird especially if you did an uninstall and it keeps crashing. Try cleaning your ps5 fans might have some dust or stuff blocking thats affecting it and making overheat and causing it to crash. if you are able to fully unistall it like delete ark off your ps5 i would do that. if not might be a ssd issue

it has one NVMe-capable M.2 slot and several SATA ports. you can replace the current drive with a bigger one if it is already a M.2 drive, or add a SATA 2.5" SSD, which is plenty fast for most games.

the server owner has to enable crossplay & select pc & steam players to play it in the server settings. Also check if you have password protected server checkbox ticked or un ticked depending if the server has a password or not, that’s also easy to miss

this im having this issue with all my skins, gradually been getting worse. Using bob's tall tails skins, power rangers, the steam punk ones, event ones etc.. my hands and fingers are going all bent and wonky. Also most of up on the server see people wearing outfits bouncing on and off, rapidly firing in odd dirrections. How and what different fixes do people have for this?? I dont think anything can be done. The custom skins just cause visual graohical issues. Its exactly the same for me. I had to ask a tribemate to not wear custom skins so that his body didnt glitch all over the place. Altho, the summer bash skins didnt seem to cause me any issues.

that's not possible as far as i know, only way to do that is to setup a automatic copy of that save file to another location in your OS, if it would keep those saves, it would fill up your harddrive real fast

My fault. It's actually an .ini file line under server settings either add a "ServerRenderDistance=<value> or "DinoRenderDistance=<value>" The value should affect the distance. I've never actually tested this. I play on official so it's pointless.

Anyone here have any idea what could be increasing server ping on an unofficial cluster, 9/10 of the maps are fine around 100 ping. But like 5 days ago, our rag server on cluster jumps to 300-1k server ping randomly, its not all the time. Yes I did: you will notice such problems well before having a huge base.. picking up a 2x2 thatch and moving elsewhere is not that big a thing as you make it out to be

especially a new player that doesn't know where there is.

if somebody built on top of every mountain on the island, you won't know until you go there. a new player won't just go to said mountain to see if there are people there unless they already have experience.

I found a spot on Ragnarok that has 60+ Cnidaria all grouped together just under the mesh. You can kill them all for over 700+ Biotoxin which is great for the 5,000 bio toxin skill milestone task. 35.4 / 89.9

2nd time killing them all after dino wipes, seems pretty consistent.

in all seriousness: if you never played ark it's a good experience

If you played Ark Survival Evolved before: it's the same game with different graphics, but due to that also much heavier on your system. it also has some new dino's, which does mess with the balance though.

Build wise ASA is easier, somewhat using the same meta as most other survival games where you can only build on a grid and have snappoint helpers, ASE has more creative freedom; you also build on a grid, but due to an oversight in coding of the ASE engine which was never patched it's possible to lower, raise, offsync etc and create an alternate grid.

I disagree on the "terrible community" unless you talk about people ranting about on official forums/discord, but you have that with every game. I've dipped my toes in the official servers and there's a decent chance to meet some toxic ppl there who take "sandbox" to a whole new level, but if you find an unofficial community server, host your own or even play single player or co-op you can have a blast.

Hosting wise financially you're better off with ASE though, as unofficial ASA servers can only be rented by Nitrado and due to not having any competition they don't have to stunt with the price. Unless you host it yourself.
ASE servers can be hosted by every server company out there and are at least 50% cheaper.
