they have an exclusive agreement for managed, preinstalled servers. anyone can install the server anywhere they want manually, and some other hosts skirt around that

but regardless, if they dont let you set a whitelist, you are out of luck. they dont give you real access to your server files

if they do let you upload a full modified config, then you can do it as explained on the wiki

I figured it out. There's an "exclusive list" tick box and field for adding who you want to allow. On ASE I remember being told that was for admins to bypass slot counts, so didn't think it was for whitelisting. But anyway, I added my EOS number in there then restarted the server and joined in. Had my boyfriend try to join and it tells him he can't join the exclusive session, so yayy problem solved!

Hello! I would like a little help from someone who knows about pcs. I would like to upgrade my pc, but I can't decide what would be good.
The main goal is that the fps in ARK does not fall below 60, on a medium graph. Currently what I have is an

32gb ddr4 3200mhz
700w psu
VGA is rx 6600, but I want to replace it.
The frame is now around 200-230k, I've looked at amd or nvidia. 4070, 4060ti, rx 7600xt, 3080. But I can't decide enough because I don't know what performance vga would be good.

If you want to fight rexes with the argy I recommend attacking from above and holding the Dino air brake button so when the rex bites you back the air brake prevents getting pushed back you can easily chomp on it just outside it's attack range this way and not get eaten. At least in my experience.

Singleplayer also has a known issue where resources take a ludicrous amount of time to respawn if you logout before they finish respawning. Best way to fix that is set resource respawn rate to like 50x to reset everything

I got some examples from people that I know, they usually play unofficial pvp, they buy dinos with some kind of codes, then they use stegos or golems, wait for players to be offline to raid them and destroy everything, I can't see the fun of doing this

To me playing pvp is playing tribe vs tribe and trying to use your dinos or resources to win a war against the other tribe

ue4.5 is a barely-beta-worthy trashfire, sure. 5.2 is a huge improvement, 5.4 will clear up a lot of the remaining major issues. within the actual game, there is not really anything majorly wrong on the optimization side

wildcard seems to have mostly fixed the issues with foliage on their end, at least

5.4 should cut down on some of the remaining funkiness that is not in ark's own code
