unlikely to be memory issues unless you are using a dozen+ decently sized mods, or really massive ones.. if it was a corrupted save due to crashing while saving, it would not impact every map

I mostly use creature mods, but they are mainly ones that are fairly well established. (As a little side tangent, I wish there was a way to select certain mods for certain maps instead of one list for all maps).

creature mods tend to be the biggest memory users, one creature is a big 3D model + a lot of textures. and you cant set mods per-map in singleplayer, only for a server

ASA is better about not loading un-needed data than ASE's engine, if the dinos dont spawn, they wont be loaded

the best xbox can do for backing up is have another console with the save and disconnect it from the internet if you launch the game before reconnecting to the internet and then relaunch it you can override the cloud with the backup.

I was looking up glitches. Apparently ark did a fix so that structures can't be near by to keep people from trapping the parent and someone said if rocks or trees are too close it can glitch it. The nest I was at had 2 rocks touching it. I removed those and then it worked. Not sure if it was just a coincidence or what but worth a shot. The parent has to have clear access to the nest or it registers at "trapped"

I think you can only get one of each. You could try a destroywilddinos and see if one spawns in. They do seem very rare, I’ve only see one charcharadontosaurus in 8 months of playing.

So far we have at least two people down this update.. got one last time and a whole heap of trash piling up at 50/50 that kept crashing the servers. Another ASE bug that somehow snuck in to the ASA code that was "written from the ground up" according to Snail's financial statements
