im not sure of the exact radius but its a 360 bubble of about like 10 walls from top to bottom and if the dinos inside are allowed in a boss fight then they will be dragged along.....if you have like 20 rexes right next to it and 5 fasolas below it itll be random on what gets teleported

Yes and no, while there is a lot of QOL stuff, your PC might not be able to handle high settings, there are many bugs, and overall stuff that you may have liked that's just gone

i dont think i understand the question too well but ill give it a go, until you get tek which undeniably end game youre always gonna be using your smithy which is early game, id guess anything with electronics would be mid game, so a fabricator and a chem bench and even after you get tek youre always gonna use the chembench...indie forge is mid game as well but theres no upgrade after that....as far as tames thats a little harder to answer, i mean you can get a argy pretty quick and until you get a rhynio an argy is going to be the best farming tame same with anky and doed and theres no upgrade for those yet. i guess gigas and cars are mid-end game tames

we had a tribemate go and try to aggro the vultures with rare flowers. It worked for half a second or less sometimes, but it was enough to pull the vultures away from the body and get unstuck and would then be able to fly up to the baby and get breathed on by a wyvern. @granite lichen Yes they still agro, I stole some eggs and just as I jumped on my lightning wyvern a sandstorm started and I got a lightining and fire wyvern after me. The Fire Wyvern almost cooked me and my Lighting mount to death due to flying normal speed and I flying at slow sandstorm speed. Be careful of running into wyverns in sandstorms as their speed isnt reduced.

Broken GPU driver maybe? I have a 3070 too. And a i5 10600k, which has nearly the same speed except less core and threads. I don't have issues like this. Frametime isn't that great but yeah, Unreal Engine. Not 100% fixable anyway. GPU usage is fine. CPU overall usage says nothing. Check each core and threads

You get more fps because there are far less structures, tamed creatures, and players to render

But for example if you have 100 tamed dinos in your base in singleplayer, you would recognize a fps drop too.

Official/unofficial/self hosted dedicated server on your PC gives more FPS.
In general it's not a huge difference between the scenario Markebarca wrote and singleplayer. In singleplayer your CPU has to do the AI calculations. On a server not (except you hosting the server)
Why is hosting a dedicated server for yourself better than singleplayer? Because singleplayer mode has the same problem like ASE has. Bad CPU task splitting. Depending on your CPU this will cut down your FPS heavily (GPU usage will go down drastically). Server uses CPU more efficiently.
If you have a high end flagship CPU, it doesn't matter. But hosting a dedicated server is still better since there are many critical singleplayer mode bugs (most of them exist in ASE too). Cons of hosting a dedicated server on your PC: The server and your game will eat around 22-25 GB RAM. You need 32+ GB RAM. And each server/map eats around 10 GB on your SSD (Don't use HDD). So 5 maps/server (for example) 50 GB plus the game. That's a lot.

Performance wise its not better or worse (except areas which are CPU demanding and with a lots of AIs walking around, like I explained. Singleplayer will bottleneck you depending on your CPU). Official are full of tames and buildings, much to render.
Singleplayer in general is crap since there are many critical bugs like no resource respawn (it is fixable but annoying at some point). On unofficial servers you most likely have a bit better performance and espically better frame stability.
"Singleplayer" but on your own dedicated server gives the best performance and not such annoying bugs which appear in singleplayer

Performance wise, yes (as long they are not filled with tons of bases and tames). In general, yes (imo official is just painful).
If you have decent PC specs and you wanna play alone -> Self hosted dedicated server (if you are rich and wanna support Nitrado -> get a server. Or there is something similiar: V-Servers. But Idk if its allowed to talk about that here with the current Nitrado contract)

Since I am playing on my self hosted dedicated server I dont have game/CPU bottlenecks anymore. Singleplayer just has such a bad CPU task splitting

With FG I can achieve 90-120 FPS. With shadow and lumen on high this is quite good. If the devs add some optimization it will be more stable and hopefully the stutters will be a bit less. Input lag is not that bad as I expected.

FSR 3 works fine if its implmented in a game (even in a mod in many cases) in relation to input lag. But the driver version works very bad on non high end hardware

Yeah thats quite good. A upgrade will be expensive for me, so this comes handy. 3070 aged already quite fast. And my 10600k cant achieve 144 FPS in the future games (except its not CPU hungry). 60 FPS most likely yes but I guess without DLSS I will run into a GPU bottleneck before I can get a CPU bottleneck. Gonna see what the new Intel gen offers, otherwise 7800X3D and than waiting for RTX 5000 series.

Yeah the problem is that it cant use Motion Vectors and only Optical Flow to calculate the frames and FSR 3 only uses software to calculate it. DLSS 3 Frame Generation uses Hardware Graphics Cores, thats why its better

FSR 3 Fluid Motion Frames has more visual issues in the generated frames (Most of the Games) and the frames time is overall worse than DLSS Frame Gen. For example If you have 30 FPS in a game and you activate FSR 3 the game could run worse than whithout it because of the high frame time. AMD recommends at least 60 base FPS for FSR 3. DLSS Frame Gen is more stable.

I see. Thats why ASA runned like crap with anything under 100 FPS capped. 100 FPS (50 base FPS) was fine regarding quality but the frametime was bad, not horrible but bad. Now with 120 cap (60 base FPS) its looks the same like the actually FG ingame. That explains it with at least 60 base FPS. But it runs quite stable, I guess its depends on the game.

Calling any server Nitrado Ark server owners..... I have question about transfers. anyone available? I just launched our second server and clustered them... Transferred characters over and when we went to spawn in, it says "Downloading" in bottom right of screen. Its been this way for 15 minutes.. is this normal? I think the weather was terrible when scorched earth was released, it is much better now, I don't have any issues. But thylas, phoenix and other dinos not being able to move well, this is a must do fix.

The temperature it is true, it seems way exagerated, when you login, if you are inside stone as I am, you will have issues, I always die, then when I respawn in bed all is fixed, I have seen people saying that cold water should fix it, but then they report nothing worked. I am playing on official. I have no idea about other modes.

that depends on what you are doing? if you are trying to do fully "clean" lines, you want to start with the lowest possible levels and breed out any unwanted stats entirely

if you are just playing casually, dont overthink it, just find anything with good post-tame stats and combine

Dinos go into what is called "stasis" when you are out of render range. All stats, food consumption, health, etc are taken in a snapshot, then when you enter range the game calculates how much food they would have eaten, if they didn't have enough then it calculates how much damage they would have taken. if you dropped an egg that would hatch in 5 mins then you left render range, and no one else was around, and you came back in 20 mins then the egg would instantly hatch. @terse lance

The stasis thing is to save on server resources so its not constantly doing calcs. But here is the big negative. Say you are raising a dino. At juvenile stage, they eat much more food than an adult dino. So lets say your raising dino would be fully grown in 8 hours. but you log off with 7 hours remaining and no one else is around. this causes the dino to go into stasis. you come back in 12 hours. now ark calculates how much food it would have eaten in those 12 hours but as a juvenile, it does not take into account it would have grown after 7 hours. so then it dies, if you don't have enough in troughs.

I would load the game, but don't join a server. Hit "Esc" go to "Settings" then go to "Graphics" and click on the button that says "Restore All Graphics" then join a world. See if that helps.

They do respawn in SP. It just takes a long time. Best thing to do is have your primary base relatively near where some metal is, as that speeds it up
