dont use compound bow, it does less damage and thereby torpor than a crossbow when using stone or tranq arrows. only use it for killing with metal or sometimes flame arrows

People did the same thing with ARK:SE in Early Access and after launch. Just a bunch of whiny babies acting like single-player games don't officially launch with a ton of bugs from AAA studios. Starfield launched last year and still has a bunch of unfixed bugs. Hell, they didn't even support DLSS for a long time and the mod community beat them to DLSS support and fixing bugs with mods. The mod community is great for ARK. It carries the boat even when Wildcard drops it.

thats fairly low. aim for high 300s on melee, my server had around 400 before muts. hp aim for 10k+, i believe our server had 11440 before muts, maybe 12k. bossfights are easier now though so maybe you could do some with those rexs

If you can get a coord for your body (if it is possible), maybe someone on the server can try moving your body. It worked for us. Game snafu’s sometimes it was our only workaround for that issue.

Their hitbox recognition for harvesting seems wonky. You might wanna try another dino until they get that sorted, but it's a known issue.

Stegos are amazing and relatively easy to tame early on. If you're lucky and can find one, a procoptocon (kangaroo) is amazing for it.

I apologize I was just trying to share a fix that worked for me, I don’t have any friends.
I believe what is happening is the client is not syncing with the server for location. Which is causing the timeout. Moving the body which forces a resync fixed it for me. Sorry I can’t be more help.

I really have no clue why, but it must be something like each body part having an independent chance to get hit with equipment damage being applied to everything when centipede spit hits. Head is a low chance, so most centipede hits for naked + mask hurt you quite a bit (potions handle it) but do no equipment damage

In ASE I had this actually huge ass base (youtu be/pQ-bjatzprI). The base didn't properly render to all sides. Had cryofridge floor with 55 fridges inside, so many pillars, an actual monster base.
And here I cannot even finish a simple box made with large walls to keep all my dinos inside, because outside the base they MESH and disappear, and I'd still would need to keep a bunch on the roof because the base is really not that big..

Yeah spinos have their own spawn too, but there's a general creature cap that encompasses everything that's split into aquatic creatures, terrestrial creatures, and I believe flying creatures? That's why killing fish causes spinos to spawn despite them not sharing a spawn container

Or... rather my mistake. Spinos do in fact share a spawn container with river fish. A better example would be gigas and carchars, which can be encouraged to spawn by killing terrestrial creatures around the map

How is the AI pathing so bad? It's many times worse than in ASE and yet Wilcard promised us "improved" AI. Dinos find it difficult to follow you in a straight line even without visible obstacles. They focus on wrong dinos even if whistle attack has been issued. They get stuck in invisible obstacles and start making weird circles. Multiple dinos on follow get stuck on each other. Cmon Wildcard either fix this or use the old AI pathing. This is just so bad.

I usually tame a megalodon first. Kite the mantees away and eels, then kill them. Go back to basil and tame

Basils are also immune to jellyfish, eels, and tuso's grab :)

You'll want a very beefy turtle to tame the tuso, give it something to grab for a long stretch while you show pearls into the tuso where the sun don't shine

Personally I think basils are better than Tuso since they can navigate through caves better but that's just me

The problem with female mutations is you can only breed with 1 ar a time. And if you breed it wirh another mutation male, and keep breeding the babys etc, it will show that you have a crap ton of mutations on the fathers/ mothers side. And after 20 mutations they get rarer. So you only have 1-2 mutations but it shows that you have hundrets and the mutations get rarer
